We had the most beautiful stay end of July for 10 days. The owners were very welcoming, we enjoyed the breathtaking view from every room of the house. The direct access to the lake was another plus for the house. Yes, the traffic can get a bit noisy but that didn´t bother us too much. Closed to Varenna and local supermarkets.

We are 2 couples who spent 10 nights at Marco and Daniella’s villa. The apartment was clean and spacious with a huge sunroom; the kitchen had everything we needed; the outside gazebo overlooking the lake was heavenly. We walked into town a couple times (it’s about a 20 minute walk) and found it easy to hop the ferry to Bellagio or the train to Milan. We found a lovely taxi driver, Lorenza, who we booked nearly daily for local jaunts to get groceries or go up to the castle in Varenna. Having the access to the beach was wonderful as the temperatures were nearly 10 degrees above normal. Marco and Daniella greeted us with a cold bottle of Prosecco, and later brought us fresh caught and prepared local fish and delicious homemade tarts. They were available for whatever we needed. We would recommend this apartment highly for all types of stays- just to relax, or to explore the Lake Como area. The only suggestion we had was for a fan in the sunroom. This is a charming home that is well appointed with nearly everything you might want in a vacation rental. The owner, Marco lives on site, making any communication very easy. Varenna is a very busy town and is your typical "alpine" village. It's a 4 minute drive from this home along SP 72, which is a narrow road making walking kind of hazardous. There is a reason the reviews are 5 star, and the reason is the site doesn't offer a higher star rating. Book early. You will enjoy it.

Marco is a great host with a great property. We enjoyed our stay at this property and the hospitality of the host. The view of Lake Como and Bellagio from the patio is not to be forgotten. Parking worked well. As mentioned in other posts the proximity to Varenna is a real plus. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful 3 days in Marco and Daniella's apartment. The view across to Bellagio and Menaggio was stunning throughout the day. Made use of the private path to the beach for a daily swim and a lovely half hour walk into Varenna. The accommodation was great and as described and the hospitality topped things off. A great place to get through jet lag at the start of our Italian holiday.

We had an excellent time at this rental property on Lake Como! The views are spectacular with excellent outdoor seating, a sun room, all the kitchen amenities needed, and ample space. I would highly recommend staying here! We had a rental car, so we drove to Varenna and utilized ferries to other towns on the lake. I highly recommend staying here!

Marcos home is absolutely stunning, from the moment you step out of the taxi to standing on the garden. Marcos home overlooks Lake Como either a view that will leave you speechless! All the rooms were extremely clean, tidy and ready to lay down after a long day of walking around Varenna. I would highly recommend Marcos home to anyone looking to stay just outside the busy Varenna Square but only a short taxi ride in and out of town!

Wonderful accommodations with epic views of Lake Como. Location was excellent as well, close by to grocery store, restaurants, ferry access and hiking trails.

Glorious, stupendous view! Marco was super gracious- even picked us up at the airport and took us to town the first night. Just be prepared for the very loud street- highway- making it impossible to walk to Varenna, and it's very far away by walking any way. Taxis are difficult to get. I'd suggest making arrangements with taxi service before arriving to be sure you can get to town. Varenna is marvelous and Menaggio is my favorite. We appreciated the prosecco and cookies on arrival!

We had a small elopement(6 people) on the patio area here. It was perfect! The view, the space, and Marco and his wife even came and gave us a bottle of Amarone. So nice if them! We really couldn’t have asked for a better location. I will let anyone else know that taxi travel isn’t as easy and you will be walking a lot. The walk into town is almost 2 miles and on a narrow road with cars. We got a taxi a few times, but did a lot of walking! Bring comfy shoes and enjoy the beautiful views! Thank you, Marco!

A beautiful view of the Alps and the town of Bellagio is minor compared to the pleasures of the town of Varenna. Marco welcomed us with a tour of the home including the tunnel under the road to a private beach. The water was spectacular as we enjoyed jumping in a couple times a day. Marco set us up with Nelly and her taxi as we enjoyed the many restaurants and shops in Varenna. What a wonderful experience for us and our first visit to Lake Como area

Our family of five had a wonderful time at this well-cared for home in Fiumelatte. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the incredible beauty of Lake Como, which can be seen from almost every room in the apartment. The property is right next to the lake and has easy access to the cool water, which we enjoyed swimming in every day. It's clear that owners have paid careful attention to all the details in the apartment as everything works perfectly; they were also very helpful resolving any issues and questions we had. The location is nearby to the grocery and only a 5-minute drive to Varenna, where there are many restaurants and multiple ferries to Bellagio, Como, Lecco and anyplace in between. Traveling by ferry (or private boat if you wish) is a fantastic way to see all of the beautiful towns on Lake Como. Besides the amazing views of beautiful Lake Como and the proximity to Varenna and the lake, the outdoor space at this property was so comfortable—a lovely tented area to keep the hot sun away with chairs and a couch, the perfect location to enjoy an afternoon book or an evening meal with drinks and friends. We loved our time here and want to thank Marco and Daniela for their kindness and care.

Perfect spot if you have a car. The place is bigger than it looks in the pictures and is beautifully appointed and landscaped. The indoor and outdoor patio can’t be beat And although it’s a view you see everywhere you go in Como, watching the sunset and the lights come on on the lake are incredible. We enjoyed cooking dinner in the well equipped kitchen and eating with amazing views. There are two restaurants within a 15 minute walk. But there is no grocery or convenience store nearby. The walk into town is really not easy even if you take the Greenway. It’s close to 40 minutes to get any groceries or wine if you are coming in my train, you can even grab some pasta and other items for your first dinner at the Villa. Desserts there are surprisingly incredible. The owners are friendly and helpful. They loaned us a cooler for our boating day which you can rent out of Varenna if you book in advance. I wouldn’t bother trying to take the hike up to the cemetery etc. it’s pretty steep and there’s not a lot to see. I think the river is dried up. If you want to see the castle, just see and access it from town. If you don’t have a car, Belly is the best taxi driver in the world and very accommodating. Even so, it’s somewhat inconvenient to have to call Kat every time you want to go to town. The street noise is real but you are above it and I imagine it is true for many places that are so close to the lake. The swimming area is absolutely wonderful. I really fun day is to Chari in the morning down to Bellagio and check it out before it gets busy and walk down the Melli gardens and either eat at the Riverside or at the beach or if the best result are ever tasted Ethan and Giovanni at Ittiturismo Melle. make reservations even for lunch. We left for the ferry at nine and getting to lunch at 12:30 was just about perfect for our walk around Bellagio and. the Gardens. Then lunch at Melle and drinks and swimming at the beach. to cap the day off, ferry back and have dinner and the rent before going home. Very good deal for the price

The property was in an excellent location. We had great views of mid-Lake Como and the sunsets were fantastic. Marco and Daniella were gracious hosts - they even picked us up at the train station on our arrival. Daniella's tiramisu was to die for. All 12 family members who passed through during our 3 weeks there had a great time. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who is visiting the Lake Como area.

From a champagne greeting to barbecued Agoni freshly caught. We spent 19 days at 4 different incredible properties and this one was our favorite by far. Great location to enjoy the lake. Well equipped for a most enjoyable stay. Marco and his wife are most delightful hosts. This was my second time at the house and is definitely my choice for future returns.

We toured Lake Como region with another couple. Our first experience to Varenna did not disappoint! The property was stunning, the location was great, and provided easy access to the ferry. We loved the sun room and the outdoor space!!! Marco and Danielle were great hosts and were extremely responsive to our needs. Daniella brought us a plate of tarts that were delicious. Marco provided wood for the fireplace and we enjoyed one evening around the open fire. All the amenities needed were provided, and the pictures perfectly matched the property. I would recommend this property to anyone seeking an authentic and special Lake Como vacation. You will not be disappointed !

The condo was great beautiful view of the lake and extremely relaxing vacation. The owners were great and very helpful. Hopefully we will be able to return one summer when we can enjoy the lake when it is warmer

If you are looking for a comfortable well equipped home with helpful hosts that is close to Varenna, and has access to a lovely little garden with a gorgeous view - this home is for you! My husband and I stayed here in November to enjoy quality time with our youngest daughter and her baby. The home was very comfortable for the baby and even had a cupboard with sweet stuffed animals and toys that she enjoyed very much. The large sunroom and garden were also a plus as she is toddling about now and enjoyed access to such light pretty spaces. Even on rainy days. We all enjoyed waking up to a beautiful lake and Mountain View, cooking in the well equipped kitchen, and visiting several villages close by. Note: We felt a car was necessary as it was a long walk on a busy road to get into town. And the town pretty much shuts down in November. Heartfelt thank you to our hosts! We would definitely look forward to returning to this sweet comfortable home !
