Stephan and Gwen were delightful hosts and the house was large, comfortable, clean and a beautiful view. The hotel in town had really great food. Make sure you have reservations though. They did help us by letting us do take away when we didn’t. The area had so many great things to see. Really close to Stonehaven (our host told us about it) and you must see Dunnottar Castle located just a short drive from here. Had some gifts and fresh milk in the fridge on our arrival. The host lives next door so if we had an issue they were readily available. Definitely would stay here again.

We all had a fantastic holiday again at the seashore house perfect village to relax everyone is friendly and the house itself was spotless as usual and the hosts went above and beyond for my husband thanks for having us back again Joanne and family

We spent wonderful days at this nice seaside cottage. Great location right at the seaside. Very clean and convenient location. Direct acces to a nice costal walk towrds Gourdon.

Family of four had a wonderful long-weekend break here. The house was well equipped for our needs, comfortable and clean - highly recommended and we would defintely go again. Johnshaven is a lovely location (with a great restaurant) and so are nearby Dunnottar Castle and Stonehaven.

Comfy, handy, well equipped. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. (Even saw orcas bobbing by). Dogs also give a full 5 stars for the location and "walkies" just a few steps away from outside the front door. We look forward to our next visit.

Such a peaceful stay - a week away from everything. Village is lovely and local pub excellent. Will definetly be back and recommend to any families.

We had a fantastic week at Sea Shore House. The location is perfect - next to the sea but away from huddle and bussle. Easy travelling distance to Dundee, Aberdeen, Cairngorms etc. Rocky beach but great for exploring. Very definitely recommended

We all had a wonderful holiday the house itself was spotless with a picturesque view also very homely feeling with everything you need for your stay The hosts Gwen and Steve were lovely and left you to your own devices but there if needed. The village’s shop had everything you need e.g from sun cream to dog food there’s also a tearoom and the Anchor hotel for food with friendly staff and St Cyrus beach is stunning and only a ten minute drive away. Will definitely be going back I highly recommend it Thanks Gwen and Steve for our lovely peaceful holiday just what we needed

Great location right at the sea, fab views from upper bedrooms and living room could sit and watch the seabirds for hours!Also spotted seals and dolphins. Very clean and comfortable and well equipped with self catering essentials. Enjoyed a coastal walk along to Inverbervie and a couple of local beer gardens. Great change of scenery post lockdown thanks!

Fantastic stay at the seashore house, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing base from which to explore the East coast look no further. To the south is the breathtaking beach of St Cyrus, a short drive away, the small town of Inverbervie to the north as well as Stonehaven where you can visit Donattar Castle etc, not to mention other surrounding wee towns of montrose, forfar, brechin, banchory and Aberdeen itself all within easy driving distance. The property itself is big and can cater easily for all your needs and the beds are really comfy for a good nights sleep. Was a quiet stay away with plenty to see around about, just what we wanted. There is also a football pitch and recreational facilities behind the property. You can start a coastal walk from outside your doorstep. Local owners, Gwen and Steve are also very friendly and your left to your own devices from the off. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet get away from it all stay.

Had a lovely weeks stay with my two sons aged 13 and 17. Outstanding sea view from all bedrooms and lounge. Very quiet and relaxing village. Local pub the anchor Inn was fantastic for food and service. Well located for visiting Cairngorms and the Newburgh seal beach.

We really enjoyed our stay in Seashore House which was well equipped and comfortable for our party of 5. We had been expecting some DVDs, games and information about local walks etc but due to the corona virus we understood why there was nothing like this at the property. With the fantastic beaches nearby a bucket and spade would have been good and notification that we should bring these items with us.

Just returned from a great break at Sea Shore House. Easy booking and check in process . House was very clean and had been sanitised and cleaned in line with Covid guidance. Very well equipped house and the views to the sea were fabulous both on the sunny and stormy days . Johnshaven is a lovely little place and I recommend a meal in The Anchor Inn . Thank you for having us Steve and Gwen and I would certainly love to stay again at some point .

Just excellent, beautiful and very well equipped. This holiday home caters for every single need you could imagine. Beautiful views of the sea, lovely little village with a shop and the Anchor Hotel which does beautiful food and is very dog friendly. One thing for sure if you come in the winter months you will never be cold in this home, we were very cosy!!! The house is immaculate, 2 large bedrooms upstairs (very comfy we had great night sleeps)with en-suites looking over the seashore and a single bedroom on the ground floor with large bathroom/wet room directly across the hallway, all with fitted wardrobes and a safe. The living room/dining room and kitchen are all in one and every utensil you could imagine. There is plenty of storage space also a large walk in cupboard in the hallway. I would highly recommend this home to anyone thinking of staying up this way, you won't be disappointed, we certainly weren't. Thanks to Gwen and Steve for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home XX

We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday in Stephen and Gwen"s house on the beach. The views are fantastic, the house very comfortable and perfect for 6 people with its 3 Bathrooms and a big kitchen and living room. Stephen and Gwen are the perfect hosts, always helpful, but very respectful for the privacy of their guests. Johnshaven is a beautiful village with a friendly community, a shop, pubs and you even can by lobster nearby. We can only recommend Beach house and will be back as soon as we can. My wife and I and the dog had a great stay at seashore house there was everything in the house that you would need the rooms were lovely with en-suite bathrooms and Stephen and his wife were very welcoming and we would definitely go back for another stay.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. All of us loved it. It is such a nice and quiet village and so close to sport grounds and kids playground. The hosts are welcoming and very helpful. Always ready to help. We recommend this house and location for your next holidays.
