Thoroughly enjoyed this property

We loved staying here. The views are unbelievable & we absolutely LOVED watching the sun rise & set each day. We felt like it was a perfect distance from the hustle of Whitby & still had great access to the beach. While at the property, we spent most of our time relaxing in the comfy chairs while watching the sea. My husband especially enjoyed the nice touch of the binoculars. He enjoyed watching for animals and ships. Our only complaint was that for a smaller property such as this, there was a LOT of fragile stuff. We felt like we had to hold our bags super close to us & walk through carefully so to not knock anything over. Don’t get me wrong- it was all super classy & beautiful. But we would’ve felt more at home if there was less decor.

A once beautiful apartment is looking a little tired now but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless. The apartment was was well equipped and the prosecco on arrival was a nice touch. Information pack was useful, especially for walks and local eateries. There was a yard at the back of the property but it was covered in bird faeces, especially around the doorway so we couldn’t use it. Not quite the level of ‘luxury’ we were expecting but any negatives were more than compensated for by the location and views from the property which are just stunning.

We had a great time, it was everything we thought it would be and more, can thoroughly recommend

Can’t beat the location of the accommodation, this is our second stay here. Only downside is the parking or lack of it, two out of the three nights we couldn’t get roadside parking near the accommodation so had to pay for two nights in the car park down the road and to be honest the Saturday night the car park was very busy and had to wait for a place!

The property exceeded expectation, with a beautiful interior. The location was perfect, with stunning sea views. The only issue was check in and upon arrival, we had still not been given a key code to enter the property with. Fortunately the neighbouring property had an alternative number for us to ring. VRBO need to address this issue.

Overall it was fabulous, just a few things that would have improved it. A tiny microwave would have been handy. If 1 dishwasher tablet and/ or a small amount of washing up liquid was provided. The back yard area could have done with a sweep up ,it was v windy so perhaps it had of been done but it didn’t look like. Previous guests mentioned the amount of stuff/ clutter/ornaments everywhere inc 2 clocks in our en suite which didn’t work & wasn’t needed. It looked v nice but there really was too much. Would def recommend & hope these few points aren’t offensive.

From the moment we arrived we were relaxed. The easy key access allowed us entry to the property and the WOW factor, the 180 degree view through the panoramic window. The view out to sea and the bay is amazing.The decor and furnishings in Peacehaven are of shear luxury.There is everything one needs in the property and is ideally located in Sandsend.

Was everything we expected and more love the view

The property is ideally located with fantastic sea view. Unfortunately there isn't any parking unless you drop really lucky. The property has far to many things in it. You can't walk anywhere without knocking something off the wall or window sill. We had to move a lot of the clutter to allow us to breath! There was a gigantic ship on the window sill in the lounge that without moving would spoil the beautiful views. Unfortunately the main bedroom has staircase from the flat above in the corner of the room so that's very loud. Overall it was a lovely property but far tp much clutter for a small place.

The apartment is situated , facing the sea , with incredible views from the two comfy chairs , looking out to sea . The apartment is equipped with everything you need , plenty of cups , glasses etc, a Smeg fridge , kettle and oven and hob , dishwasher , washing machine , coffee maker , and Smeg kettle . The bedrooms , are stunning , one double bedroom , and a large single room . The bedding , is so luxurious, beautiful, down quilts , so good , whilst we were there , we ordered one from Amazon , for when we returned home . There is a fantastic shower room , with underfloor heating . We had our Springer spaniel with us , who loved watching the world go by at the front window . Parking , is right outside of the property on the main road . We needed to get away for a few days , for some chill time , as my Father , had recently passed away , and it was certainly a tonic for us both ! To summarise , a stunning property, in an idyllic position , the local property manager , Davina , was so helpful when we had an issue trying to watch the television , which also has a DVD player , and Bose soundbar , this was quickly and efficiently, rectified We can thoroughly, recommend a stay , atvthis incredible apartment!

When I first searched the internet my search criteria was dog friendly by the beach. The accommodation was truly stunning, located overlooking the beach with easy access. We took our 17 month old Labrador which worked well though I’m glad we took our crate with us just in case, because the property is very cluttered. Don’t get me wrong it’s beautiful and much thought has gone into the theme and ornaments/accessories. The living room was particularly cluttered with three tables (small square with two chairs, large coffee table and small round table in bay window). We ate in each evening to keep the overall cost of the trip down but the three of us couldn’t sit at one table which was a shame. Second bedroom has a 3/4 bed which was ok for our daughter but a couple of people would struggle. The location is amazing. I’m going to miss sitting in the bay window looking out at the sea and enjoying the many walks fro. The property. We stayed three nights and didn’t use the car once. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation for a couple or three people and a small dog.

Although the property may be missing a few items for example draws for the cutlery, a microwave, cupboards to put food. The decor was clean and bright, with a lovely view from the window. Been able to put the heating on ourselves would have been beneficial instead of needing to disturb the owners. Overall a very enjoyable place in a lovely part of the coast.

Lovely apartment with stunning views

Had a fabulous little stay in Sandsend at Peacehaven. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. We couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely be booking again.

However, the kitchen facilities in the cottage were substandard, ie , no microwave, no prper coffee maker,very small sink , dont plan on cooking to much, incredibly crowded, the sink in the bathroom was as small as you can imagine, located under a medicine cabinet that made it virtually impossible to use. I recommend at a minimum that the Med cabinet be moved above the toilet. Overall a cluttered place with to many nick nacks.

Too many nautical objects, no room to put our things. The kitchen area must have been planned for families that mainly eat out. Lots of little helpful things missing, e g a dishwasher tablet and a dish cloth/sponge. One bath towel per person and one hand towel not good. Too finish on a positive not the sea view was superb.

This is really a first floor apartment as there are over 20 steps from the pavement to the front door. The plus side to this is that when seated inside you don’t see the road but only the sea. An excellent village store only doors away. Parking outside can be difficult. The public car park is £6 for 24 hours. The accommodation is clean and the bed comfortable. Building work next door was an annoyance for a few days as it meant we couldn’t use our terrace but I guess that is now finished. The beach is accessible down steps from across the road most of the time. I’m not sure if the sea reaches the sea wall during spring tides. Life guards are present. We found the cheaper eateries were better value than the more expensive and their portions have no reason for complaint!

We were over the moon with the property the veiw was fantastic and the owner was fantastic will definitely be gowing back

A wonderful stay and had such luxury provided to make it so very comfortable.My partner and myself relaxed totally , everything was provided even to a bottle of prosecco in the fridge! Thank you and we are looking forward to returning again soon 😊😊

The property is very small with knick knacks and large plastic lamps everywhere. We did not realise that if you do not let the owner know that you need both beds they will only make up one. The owner told us where the bedding was but because of the small space available it was impossible to move the bed to put it on - plus there was no bottom sheet. There are no wardrobes in the second bedroom so clothes hang on the back of the door - not great. The kitchen is minute and you have no "draining" space so its dishwasher and then onto the worksurface - no cupboards. The bathroom has underfloor heating and a shower but is very tight fitting as you cannot open the door if someone is brushing their teeth etc. Overall wonderful views but small and claustraphobic - especially bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. 6/10

We had good weather good food at local restaurants and a most amazing view. The apartment was excellent for two and within easy distance to Whitby using buses that came through the village every half hour. The beach was wonderful for walking on which was essential.

This was the perfect property in a lovely location. The property has everything you need and more. The views are super and is perfect for a couple or up to three. A lot of TLC has gone into furnishing the property in a style to suit the location. Good local pub serving good food, an excellent local bistro and an excellent choice of cafes. Bus service into Whitby every 30 mins and parking available right outside make this a perfect spot. The views are every bit as good as described by others on here and the beach is perfect for a lovely stroll. Next time we wish to visit the beautiful Yorkshire coast and area we would not hesitate to return to this property. Good prompt communication from the owner and a lovely welcoming bottle of prosecco made our stay was perfect. Many thanks and we will return. Mr & Mrs Parker
