A very nice hotel in a small, quaint community. Excellent staff and a very good value for money.

Breakfast was a bit on the downside and could be improved

quiet place surrounded by mountains! there is a mini market in the front of the hotel in case you need something in the last minute. kind staffs from Poland, and some Norwegians being Norwegians. Just two steps from Lærdalstunnel 24,5km driving through, and you will come to the other side of the fjords in Aurland.

For a day or two, it’s very much ok.

Great location within walking distance of the old town, free parking and WiFi, historic property. Room had a lovely view of the garden.

No elevator, very thin walls, no hair dryer in the room.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Always smiling and welcoming There is an old part of the hotel which is like museum and its very nice Beds are comfortable. There is a good supermarket open late night just in front. Breakfast is acceptable and resturant is well decorated and clean.

The rooms are so simple. No coffee maker or electric kettle. No Cups and glasses. Just 2 plastic cups. No safe box. No slippers. I got my room at night and the heater has been off probably for some days and the room was very cold. It took hours to warm up. There is no instruction on how to turn on the heaters. So you will need to figure it out yourself. The nice old building you see in the photos, is NOT the hotel. It's a building in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is an old 3 stories building. They also don't have any family room which can host 4 people. So if you are a family, you have to book 2 rooms which adds to cost and also lots of travel between roomsad they will probably not be beside each other.

What made this hotel was the staff. The man at the front desk was very helpful. He gave me great tips on local attractions and what roads to take. He made my stay!

The hotel itself is a bit dated and the carpets needed to be replaced. That being said, it was still extremely clean and the rooms were very comfortable.

A very welcoming and lovely place. Amazing dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room and common areas with nice furnishings. Beautiful and well kept landscaping and grounds. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Our heater didn’t work but we were given a portable heating source right away, so it was really not a problem. The foyer door would slam loudly anytime someone came through which was a bit annoying and startling.
