Casa Tonio is beautiful and was the perfect place to spend a week exploring Liguria! Flaminia & her family couldn’t have been more helpful. The seven of us had more than enough room to relax, cook & rest. The hot tub is a perfect place to sip wine & enjoy the gorgeous view. We would highly recommend Casa Tonio!!! In every sense a high level vacation, high above the sea with an absolutely beautiful scenic view over the coast from the high standard villa with top service from the hosts. We definitely worthwhile and we recommend going there. We’ve spend 2 weeks being two families with 2 kids each. It was amazing.

The beds were comfortable, we had access to air conditioning and heat, the WiFi was great, the hot tub was an extra perk, and the patio and grounds were amazing. The pictures don’t even do this home justice. We can not recommend the home and owners enough, they were more than 5 stars and our only regret was not having more time there. The location is perfect. Tucked away on the hillside with private gardens, but close enough to catch the train. Flaminia was a lovely host. Close by in case you needed her, but not at all intrusive. The house is very modern. All the comforts of home plus I woodfired brick pizza oven. We had a wonderful stay. With eight people in the house, a faster Internet connection would have been nice ... But we took turns and worked it out. The weather was perfect. Plenty of sun. An easy train ride to get a ferry boat for plenty of pictures of the cinque terre. If only we could’ve stayed longer!

Our family visited Casa Tonio July of 2018 and from the moment we drove up to the villa the charm and beauty of the home and its surroundings captured our hearts. The hosts could not have been more gracious and patient with all the questions we had for them. Flaminia and Stephano welcomed us with open arms and lots of goodies. The basket of fresh vegetables was such a treat. We also loved the quaint town of Cavi and our only disappointment is that we had to leave after only one week. We had an amazing time and will remember our trip and our stay at this wonderful place for a very long time. Thanks to the best hosts ever. You made us feel like family.

Thank you Flaminia for an amazing stay. Your property is fabulous and we loved the view, proximity to the train and lovely town of Cavi. The property is private, very clean and super comfortable, with close proximity to beaches and easy day trips to Cinque Terre, Portofino and Sestri Levante. The hot tub was fabulous after a day of adventures and the pizza oven was a lot of fun. Great stay, we highly recommend! A+

Stayed at this property 9th-16th June 2018 Good location and spacious villa for eight people. Very well equipped and furnished. Flaminia could not have been more helpful and so kind of her to provide food and wine for us on arrival. Villa is well located for public transport links but a car is essential as quite away up a hill. Would return to this villa.

We had a real warm welcome from the owner Flamenia. On the big table in the large Kitchen we found delicious welcome Snacks and a bottle of the house wine. This living kitchen was our favorite room and the fireplace made a homely ambiente. Fire wood we got for free as well. The whole house is well designed and every room nice, clean and comfortable. From 3 bedrooms we had a beautiful sea view. Juergen & Maria

We rented this house for our month long vacation. We were sad to leave. The house is greatly located near interesting tourist locations (Pisa, Portofino, Cinque Terre) and the surrounding country side is also very beautiful. Sestri Levante was a nice surprise, the town is very cute and has some good pastries shops. My husband and I like outdoors climbing and we had various options nearby (closest crag less than 10 min away). Sunset at the house was very nice. We made a point to be outside and enjoy it every day. It is such a gorgeous view from the house! At our arrival there was foccacia, pesto, charcuterie and wine welcoming us. The house has everything you might need for a comfortable stay. It is spacious and has a pizza oven which we used quite a few times. The kitchen is well equipped and the wine cabinet made it very easy to try some local wines. We cooked at home most of the days but also tried a couple of local restaurants in Cavi which were very good! Ask Flaminia for suggestions, she is spot on. Since we stayed for such long time, Flaminia came with someone to clean the house and change sheets weekly. She also kindly offered us home made tiramisu twice, prepared by her husband. Both Flaminia and her husband were very kind and responsive to us throughout our stay. If you're looking for a vacation destination in Liguria, I strongly recommend Casa Tonio and Flaminia.

We stayed just before Easter and loved it. When we arrived, Flaminia had prepared a selection of food as welcome, which was great after the trip. We found her to be incredibly responsive and if ever something needed taking care of it was done straight away! The house is very nice, spacious, clean and well equipped. We also found the wine cabinet to be real advantage, as it allowed us to try reasonably priced wines knowing they would be good quality. The kitchen had all the basics (sugar, oil, spices, etc...) so we didn't have to buy everything. We also tried out the pizza oven outside and made our own pizza... And last but not least, the spa pool. Particularly nice on a cool evening or after a walk in the hills of Cinque Terre! There are some good restaurants in Cavi and Sestri Levante is surprisingly good for shopping. All in all I can definitely recommend the place and would love to go back there, Thank you Flaminia and Stefano!

Had the most amazing time at Casa Tonio, didn't want to leave! The villa is truly stunning and Casa Tonio looks exactly like the photos. It is modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The Vila is furnished immaculately and has every appliance you need. It was truly breathtaking waking up each morning to stunning views of the sea. The flowers and outdoor seating area are istunning. The hot tub was a perfect end to a perfect day! The town of Cavi is a lovely, friendly town. Few nice restaurants, bakers and Flaminia owns a lovely boutique there. I would like to say a very big thank you to the owner of the property, Flaminia. She really is one of the most kindest, generous woman I have ever met. She had made lots of delicious aperitifs for our arrival. Her husband also made the most amazing tiramisu! Thank you so much Flaminia for making our holiday so special and can't wait to stay at your beautiful villa again some day. We were so sad to leave, just wish we had stayed longer! My extended family and I ( 9 of us) just returned from a 2 week vacation in Italy. We spent the first week at Casa Tonio and the second week near Venice. Although Venice was beautiful we left our hearts at Casa Tonio and with the adorable town of Cavi! The villa looks exactly like the photos. It is modern, clean, and comfortable. We typically ate 2 meals a day in the enormous and gorgeous kitchen. There was plenty of space for all 9 of us. The property is beautiful. The purple bougainvillea flowers and outdoor seating area are incredible. Our children flipped for the hot tub and my husband loved the outdoor shower. The town of Cavi is perfect. We had some of the best breakfasts and desserts from the bakery in town. The butcher in town had the highest quality of meat. The men in our group insist that the veal from the butcher was the best veal they every had in their lives! There is also a shop in town that makes homemade pasta ( to die for) and probably the best eggplant parmigiana we have ever tasted. Last but certainly not least is the wonderful, kind, and generous hostess/property owner Flaminia. She welcomed all 9 of us to her beautiful home with open arms. Any time we needed advice, she was there to help us. She owns an incredible clothing store in town with high quality clothing, shoes, and accessories. Her husband, Stefano, ran over when we needed help with Wi-Fi and he made us two of the best desserts we have ever tasted. I cannot say enough about Casa Tonio and Cavi di Lavagna. To be honest we want to go back as soon as possible and not leave!!! Thank you Flaminia and Stefano and Cavi di Lavagna for a magical week!

For those of you looking for a great stay while in the Liguria area, this property has all that you need. Convenient, yet not in the city center, the house is situated up a hill, just a few minute drive from the village and a few more minutes to the great town of Sestri Levante (in case you don't want to drive to Portofino, which is also a beautiful drive, although about 30 minutes with no traffic) It has wonderful views and beautifully maintained gardens. The hot tub is an added bonus to enjoy. We have two 9 year old sons, and the property had plenty of room for them to play soccer outside, explore and have a great time. The interior is very well maintained, clean and done with upgraded and modern amenities and exactly how the pictures show - A very comfortable home that we greatly enjoyed. The best part of the property is the graciousness and assistance of the owner, Flaminia. By the time you leave, you will feel like family. She and her family have been from the village for many generations and by the way, she has a great clothing store in the village for men and women. The restaurants in the village are small and welcoming with the owners always happy to welcome visitors. I don't think you will be disappointed, but be sure to have a car during your stay to see all that the area has to offer.

There are all necessary items in the kitchen. Beds are new and comfortable. There is a wonderful view to the sea. We used a lot a hydro massage bath even if the weather was quite cool. The owners are very kind and hospitable. We got a real supper on arrival and later we tried Italian home made tiramisy. On the top of the mountain you can find a wonderful church and even small zoo. It's private land, but small children will be happy to see all those animals. The supermarket is around 2-3 km to drive and there are nice restaurants in the village down the hill. I will be glad to recommend this property to my friends and family members.

This was truly an incredible stay for our two families - everything you see is even better in person!! With eight people in total ( 4 Adults and 4 teenage boys) - we had plenty of room to spare. The bedrooms are large and all have air conditioning - which was ideal when temps hit 36 C. The outdoor terrace and grass space was ideal for all of us to relax and for the boys pass the football around. The house is incredibly well equipped if you decide to cook - and Flaminia our host, was available to guide you through restaurant recommendations and anything else you need in town. The town of Cavi was a pleasant surprise and a refreshing change to the busyness in Cinqe Terre - Cavi restaurants are incredibly authentic and there are NO Tourists in sight! All the restaurants are fantastic and the owners are humble and proud. The Villa's location from Cinqe Terre is perfect and we especially liked the easy access from Sestri via train - after full day of sightseeing and being on trains, coming home to Casa T. was wonderful! Keep in mind you must have a car to drive from the villa to town of Cavi and Sestri. We spent two beach days in Cavi ( yellow umbrella beach) you pay, but its worth it. We can't wait to share our experience with friends and family - thank you for everything Flaminia - we will definitely book again!

This was an amazing stay for us. But what topped it off was the host Flaminia, the kindness and helpfulness of her and the whole village of Cavi were amazing. I cant give enough credit to the people of Cavi, everyone was willing to help with what ever matter came our way, from hand made pizza dough, to a 3 year old little girls last min birthday cake picked up and delivered from a friend a town over. Thanks for everything. Now for some info house and town details. The Good The house is great, views are amazing, quiet, secluded area that shares its road/driveway with only one other property. Everything you need is in the house, from cooking utensils, pots pans, to pack and plays/cribs, plastic cups, and bowls for the kids, and high chairs. We had 4 adults in the house and 4 children under 4. There was plenty of room in the 4 bedrooms upstairs for all of us, and due to the great outdoor space we never felt on top of each other. Flaminia also has a great selection of wine for the house on an honor bar system that we were happy to take full advantage of. The Bad There is no real bad with the house, just stuff you need to be aware of when traveling in Europe, the stair case is partially open, which is very common for Europe, so we had to keep an eye on our two youngest kids, you will need to sort you own garbage, all of Europe recycles, which is great, so make sure to do your part. There is multiple garbage cans in the house, inside and out to help you, and village trash at the bottom of the hill if your stay is extended. Lastly parking in the village is cramped, you can find spots in the early am (before 9), during siesta (but almost all of town is closed), and in the evenings. This will be your access to the small grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. The great thing is Flaminia has access to a private lot on the hill that is a short 5-8 min walk into the village, so you will always have parking. Overall again, a great home, great people, and great access to the entire Cinque Terre area. Oh and don't miss spending time in Sestri Levanti, a great city next door, with good food, shopping, and your best access to a train for all your Cinque Terre travels. Cheers Daryn

My wife, sister, brother-in-law, their two kids and my dad absolutely loved this property. There is so much that I could go on about. First off Flaminia was a huge help with getting everything booked and took plenty of time to answer our questions as we had never traveled to Italy before. The booking was very easy and worry free. On our arrival we were met with a gift of local food and wine which was just the start of the unexpected hospitality to come through the week. The property is just amazing. The pictures give you a good taste of the views to expect. We really enjoyed eating dinner on the porch watching the sunsets while enjoying wine that has been hand selected from the area right on hand for you to buy. The interior finishes left nothing to be desired. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. Flaminia has a clothing shop right in town and was always very willing to answer any questions and help with what ever we needed. Her daughter and my niece became friends and enjoyed playing at the beach club right in Cavi. The Train station was less then ten minuets from Cavi in Sestre Lavante. Making it the perfect home base to travel to Cinque Terra but still have complete peace and quiet. I would absolutely recommend staying here and if we are back in the area again we would do it all over.

We had a wonderful holiday at Casa Tonio in June. This Villa has spectacular view of the sea and olive trees. The house is very modern,comfortable and spacious. The house has very charming and beautiful terrace with jacuzzi and relax area. There you can observe a magnificent sea view. The atmosphere is very pleasant and comfortable. The house has all the modern equipment. Flaminia - the owner - was so friendly and welcoming. She was very helpful with all necessary information. The location of the Casa Tonio is very convenient regarding all the main interesting sights such as Portofino, Genoa, Five lands. We strongly recommend this splendid villa with its fantastic view.
