This lake house is truly about 60 feet from the lake. The pontoon boat is great and the atmosphere in the house itself is artistic, and cozy with the best of everything provided. There's lots of sun every day. We're hoping to come back next August again. So impressed.

Our family (adult daughters with spouses + one grandchild) is crazy about this property and squeezed in one more year here before out-growing it. The house is charming, the lake is beautiful and clean, the porch is inviting, and even on rainy days you don't mind being inside playing games, chatting with family or curling up on comfy couch watching tv. This along with all of the amazing amenities and the thoughtful, communicative owner have moved us to look forward to coming back for our fourth time next year.

Sunset Beach is a beautiful and well stocked lake home. You will have everything you need. I did bring my Kuerig because I was unsure if the cottage had one and there is one! So bring your favorite K-cups! My family enjoyed the quiet lake, fishing was awesome and the boat rides at night were enjoyable.

When we knew we were going to be doing a triathlon in the area, we looked for a place we could bring our dogs with us. We wanted to take them on a trip with us versus boarding them. The cottage we found had everything we were looking for. Jim was very prompt with all communications and expectations. I only wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the lake with the pontoon boat and take full advantage of the sunsets off the back porch. We would certainly without a doubt rent with Jim again if we come back for the race again and it is available.

My family and I spent a week at the Sunset Beach cottage in June for our summer vacation, and we had a wonderful time. The cottage is lovely. It had everything we needed and the hosts left several special touches that made us feel very welcome. We hosted a family bbq and enjoyed hours of swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The boat was also a nice addition to our stay. Our family had a wonderful time, and several of our friends and relatives commented on how nice the cottage was for location and amenities. We would definitely come back to stay at this beautiful cottage. The location was perfect for what we wanted. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice lakeside vacation.

My wife and I (and our pups) totally enjoyed our stay at Jim's cottage. This is our 3rd stay, and it works perfectly for us. We worked from home with a great internet connection, and had an 'office view' of the lake. . My wife enjoyed the kayaking. Next time I might try paddle boarding. We also enjoyed a few of the local restaurants ... some really good choices. And, Jim is very good about responding to any questions. We'll defintiely be back.

This was my family’s second vacation at Jim’s cottage, and despite a couple days of rain, we had a great time. Having a pontoon to use is great and the kayaks and paddle boards were a big plus. My Grandchildren really enjoyed the kayaks and are already asking to go back, which we are hoping to do next summer. Thank you Jim for being a great host.

Cottage was warm and welcoming on arrival. Nice beach. Pontoon a big plus. Comfortable beds. Spent most of our time on the large deck. Plenty of chairs. Kayaks were almost new and fun. Would rent again and will recommend to friends. Thanks Jim.

We really enjoyed the boat. That was the biggest seller. The cottage was a little bit to small for my comfort. To have two adults and four kids would be fine but not comfortable for five adults and one child. Not enough privacy.

Our family returned to this property because we had a phenomenal experience last year and we were not disappointed. There is nothing not to like about this place. We enjoyed the lake, the toys and the comfy house. Many of the things one needs to feel at home are provided, and the lake is fantastic. The area is quiet and it is a hop, skip and a jump from stores and such . We enjoyed a trip to Mishawaka's Central Park which had a splash pad, and a nice mini golf place is not far away--the adult kids enjoyed that. We are so grateful for our (2nd) time there and for the heartwarming memories we took home with us.

The house was neat as a pin and exceptionally comfortable. My husband and I spent many hours on the pontoon quietly fishing. Will be back.

My wife and I decided a change of scenery would be nice while working from home. This lake cottage was a fantastic get away. We worked with a huge picture window view of the lake, sunsets, swans, ducks, etc. We also took the pontoon out and checked out all the houses around the lake, and my wife enjoyed kayaking. Also, the homeowner quickly answered our couple of questions. Totally enjoyed the trip and the house.

We came from North Dakota for a Notre Dame football game and this little cottage was absolutely perfect and a price that can't be beat. Warm, cozy, comfortable and a short drive after a late game. We will stay again! Go Irish!!

Jim is incredible. He went way beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. Our communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The cottage is very tidy and lovely, equipped with everything you need. for real, everything! There were brand new shower puffs with tags on in the bathroom. I stayed here for about a week with my puppy. I was working remotely during the weekdays, the internet was great, 100+ Mbps. More than enough for my meetings and watching Netflix in the evenings :) The property is right on the lake and you have direct access to the deck and kayaks and the pontoon. Jim came over and demonstrated how to use the pontoon on a Saturday morning when my boyfriend was staying with us for the weekend. We had a great time taking the pontoon out and kayaking and watching the stunning sunset. It was a great trip to relax, unwind while being able to work during the day. I'll definitely come back again!

My husband and I had an excellent stay at this beautiful cottage. It had everything we needed, and you couldn't ask for a better host than Jim. We arrived to relaxing music, lamp-lit rooms, and a welcome gift of wine, chocolates, and a case of water. Jim was also super quick to respond to any questions we had. We had a memorable stay with warm, leisurely afternoons on the lake and amazing sunset views in the evening. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this comfortable cottage again.

This is our third stay!Jim is a great host but we need nothing while there. Sunset Beach is clean and comfortable and provides beautiful sunsets and lake fun for young and old. We are grateful for our time there.

There would not be enough space to explain how enjoyable this place is for a small group or family. This was our 5th annual summer vacation with our adult children and we were not disappointed. All the water toys and pontoon boat were enjoyed enormously, and our infant granddaughter went “tubing” (we pushed her around on the tube near the shore) and took to lake life quite well. Happy memories were taken home by all. This is a comfortable, well-equipped home. We hope to go back.

My wife and I decided on a winter get-away before Christmas, and found this hidden gem near my parents. We'd WFH on good WiFi with a fabulous lake view, beginning our day by watching the sun begin to shine on the lake. Bringing our dogs with us was an added bonus, and the enclosed front porch a great way to clean paws before entering the house. What a relaxing 10 nights. The owner Jim was great to work with, and easy to touch base with. When we arrived, he had the Christmas tree lit, Christmas music playing, and a welcoming treat set out. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. The area had a number of mom-and-pop restaurants which were really good. I'd recommend Four Square for the seafood. We'd stay here again in a second, and plan to check availability on any subsequent trips to see my parents.

Everyone is very comfortable at Sunset Beach. There are lake toys and table games for all. Rain didn’t steal our fun.. Jim couldn’t be more prompt in response or bigger in desire for you to make happy family memories. That we did! Thank you (again) from our family.
