The hotel told me one night was complimentary but this wasn’t reflected in the price I paid Booking.com

The staff from the General Manager Victorio Gonzalez to the pool attendants Ricardo and Luc, the entire property runs seamlessly, professionally and with heart. I love the privacy of not feeling on top of other guests and yet it is fully occupied. You feel watched over and cared for in a manner that is much like the service at the Four Seasons Hotels. I loved it all! Tremendous service with genuine smiles. My travel companion and I were unfortunately hurt in a car accident on our way to the Montage. The Montage staff (Angel Rodriguez) arrived at the hospital and cared for us, offered to unpack us, upgraded our room to a suite, were generous in every way possible with providing us with their personnel (Security Manager Mario Martinez Diaz) who acted as a liaison for us in our communications with police, the U.S. consulate and with the criminal justice center. We were overseen and cared for by Angel Rodriguez who orchestrated our daily interactions with his staff and others. I cannot recommend this Montage hotel enough. I can't wait to return under better circumstances. The grounds are beautiful, the several pools give balance and space between guests to enjoy the pool area. The beach is lovely with complimentary kayaks, paddleboards, snorkling equipment, etc. They have attendants that assist with the sports and life jackets. Everything is there. The hotel rooms are spacious, well thought out and decorated with a luxurious bathroom including an outdoor, yet private shower. I haven't felt this pampered by a hotel in a long time. It felt SOOOOO good.

The spa is beautiful, with a jacuzzi and lap pool and cold punge. The facilities are beautiful and the staff very attentive. However, I would say that although my friend received a complimentary massage for her birthday and for having suffered in the accident; I'm not sure I would pay $275 for an hour massage. The prices seem higher than they should even for a luxury hotel.
