We had a wonderful stay in this magnificent barn which was furnished and equipped to an outstanding level. We have stayed in many properties over the years and this is up there as one of the best we have stayed in. We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed a fabulous meal at one of the local restaurants that was a short walk away which was a bonus. The property is in a great location with easy access in to Cambridge itself via the park and ride a short drive away.

Lovely break away with friends, the property was beautiful and was the perfect choice for a brief 3 day getaway. Cambridge was easily accessible but the property also gave us the feeling of been out of the city and in beautiful country surroundings with a lovely village just down the road as well!

It is a lovely house. Purpose built with everything you could ask for - coffee machine, dishwasher tablets, towels etc. Super clean, wonderfully comfy beds and great outdoor space too. Modern feel with games you can use, bluetooth speaker, smart TVs. Great for a family with kids of all ages. The holiday ended on a bit of a negative as we requested to check out late, which was happily accepted. We had a few things in the hall (delayed due to medical needs of child) when the cleaner and owner arrived which really didn't go down well and they ended up throwing out things out of the door and shutting it in our face - rather than giving us a few minutes to explain or start cleaning in the house while we moved out things out of the hall. Really changed the feel of the holiday for us and felt super sad to have left like that with no conversation and certainly no friendliness - which was very different to all the other communication. Very odd really. Overall it was a FAB place to go, lovely house - we would recommend - just don't check out late!

Lovely property and fantastic hosts. The property was spacious and suitable for our family catch up with wonderful views of the fields and cows. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a very cosy feel to the whole property. Will definitely be staying in the future.

We spent great 5 days here in a peaceful location, which we used as a base to explore nearby Cambridge, St Neots and Grantchester. The property was spotless, with all the furnishings and fittings done out to a high standard. We made full use of the bbq, the patio furniture and the full size table tennis table, as well as Netflix in the evening. Sally was a very hospitable host, nothing was too much trouble. Watching the cows grazing in the nearby field whilst enjoying a morning coffee on the patio was a bonus. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

This is a great house in a beautiful setting. I have never found a property as well equipped as the Bull Pen and Sally was so helpful both before and during the stay. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and having three en-suite bathrooms was an added bonus with six of us plus two babies in the property. Would love to come back again, perhaps even with some sunshine!

This property is set in the delightful village of Bourn, with an easy walk to the farm shop and the Willow Tree pub, both of which are worth a visit. The Bull Pen sits facing the field and a magnificent oak tree sits in full view. The sunset from the garden area entices you to use the outside space, which is as well equipped as the house - very cosy. The house is finished to a high standard and the kitchen has everything you need to cook at home if you choose to do so. Good beds and bed linen. All bathrooms are a good size and the hot water never ran out. The bedroom on the first floor is accessed by a very tight spiral staircase that goes directly into the bedroom, so you can hear all movement via the hallway. This was fine for us, but maybe worth considering dependant on who you plan to share the house with. Sally is a fantastic host with just the right balance of being available and leaving you to enjoy your time there. Thoroughly recommended!

The property was just perfect, extremely clean and had everything we needed. Local Indian takeaway was fantastic.

Given the COVID situation, we booked The Bull Pen, with the view of it being somewhere clean, that had everything we could need if public places were closed, and that we could work from if required. The Bull Pen was everything we could have hoped for and more. Sally and Nick really have thought of everything. Upon arrival, the place had been cleaned within an inch of it's life! There were some lovely touches, such as personalised guides and instructions. All of the furnishings are of the highest spec, including massage beds!! Our highlights have to be the neighbouring cows though :). They come right up to the gate to be nosey. It's so relaxing to just sit and watch them. Cambridge city centre is just

A very enjoyable stay at the Bull Pen. The accommodations are fantastic. Sally and Nick are responsive property owners. The Bull Pen is private and the location secluded. Several very good restaurants within walking distance (.5 mile) and easy access to grocery store and other pubs and sites. Highly recommended and will stay here next time.

Pictures and reviews were the reason I booked this property!! Neither the pictures nor reviews truly do this property justice!! This was a trip of a life time and to see and stay in this home far exceeded our expectations! You are crazy NOT to stay here. It is 90 minutes North of Heathrow and 10 minutes to beautiful Cambridge! Such gracious hosts that simply leave you alone!! I will NOT stay any where else should I return to this area!! This outstanding rebuild of the original Bull Pen provides a great base to visit the area. We had a wonderful time while out and about and really enjoyed getting back to the house in the evening. The accommodation is first class. So too are the owners - good communication before arrival and a warm welcome.

Very well equipped and decorated. A very comfortable place for our stay. Hosts very helpful and friendly. Well worth the 5 stars I have given.

6 adults taking a short break at the Bull Pen. We were not sure what to expect but could not have had a better property from which to explore the local area. Everything you needed was there, as one of our party said “a home from home”. Sally, the owner, was there to greet us and on hand if we needed anything. Highly recommended

Really lovely couple of days, super clean accommodation with lots of character and space and everything you would ever need ...it’s all thought of.

This is a beautiful very well equipped barn situated on a farm with cattle and the most amazing bull in the paddock. There is a lovely pub in walking distance which has a great atmosphere and serves good food.

4 adults, 2 Children and a Baby stayed for 3 nights and all of us absolutely loved the place! The accommodation is all you can wish in a really great setting. It’s a great place for exploring the surrounding areas or for just having some time together. Sally is a great host and really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We would all definitely want to come and stay again! Would definitely recommend the farm to friends and Family. Thanks again Sally.

Everything anyone could want in this delightful property. Sally was most welcoming but not intrusive and provided generously for us. Beds were comfortable and the barn was spotlessly clean. We wanted for nothing and enjoyed the peaceful location with rural views

A perfect place to enjoy comfort, peace, and quiet, with the soothing sight of grazing cattle. There is an airy open spacious feeling both inside and out. When the weather is fine you can fling the doors open and let your breakfast or dinner party spill out onto the patio. For my family - 3 adult couples - it was really nice to have 3 comparable bedrooms, so nobody suffered from bedroom envy. The hosts - Sally and Nick - are delightful, and available whenever you need them. We had a lovely stay (7 days) ... would love to have stayed longer.
