Weather was cold, but the house was cozy and perfect for my family to enjoy the packers and each other.

This a beautiful, charming house overlooking the ocean. Easy parking, lots of amenities, one block walk to town. We loved it for family Christmas stay.

Loved the house and the location. Walkable to restaurants/beach and a little removed from the hustle of LA, but we were easily able to tour the area as well. Super close to the airport too but noise from planes wasn't an issue. The house is well stocked (we cooked a full Thanksgiving meal there), very comfortable, and has incredible views. Darla was a very kind and attentive host and we'd definitely stay there again.

The house is just perfect…beautiful and so clean and the location can’t be beat…but what truly stands out is Darla’s hospitality and attention to detail. We look forward to spending more time in LA and, if you’ll have us, staying at 218 Montreal…thank you!

Our family stay was as close to perfect as it has ever been! The host was excellent and the home itself felt like it was designed just for our family! The views were "post-card picturesque" and it was everything we hoped for! The property itself is incredible but the communiity is too! Great location! Great house and view !

We had a lot to do during our stay in the LA area and it was such a pleasure to have this house to come back to daily. The homeowner, Darla, was great to work with and provided everything for a wonderful stay. While just a short drive from LAX, you’d never know you were near an airport. You drive through a wilderness area to get to Playa and it feels like a secluded enclave among the hustle and bustle. It was close to most everything you’d be looking to do in LA. There were beautiful views of the beach and marina from every room, a hot tub up high overlooking it all, and it was very walkable to a number of great restaurants and shops. There wasn’t anything we needed that wasn’t more than 10 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

Our trip to move our daughter off LMU campus was a complete success. Proximity to LMU and all the beach communities make this a prime location. You can’t put a price on the awesome view of the ocean from every bedroom as promised. We enjoyed all the dining options, just a short walk down the street. Our communication with Darla was first rate. She was there to greet us and give us a comprehensive tour of the house and answered our questions via text right away. The house had everything we needed for our week long stay. So what started out as a “to do” trip ended up feeling more like a vacation. We also want to thank Darla for graciously allowing us to delay our departure by a few hours when our plane home was cancelled and not re-booked until much later that day. We safely left our car parked right outside the home with all our luggage while we enjoyed a prolonged lunch at Bacari PDR. Thank you and we are looking forward to our next visit!

The house is gorgeous! Stocked with everything we needed and then some. Darla is so sweet and made everything easy. The location is perfect with a quick walk to great coffee, restaurants and the beach! You can't beat the view from every room in the house and the fabulous roof deck. Cannot wait to come back! We loved everything about this house! Perfect size for our group and close to everything we wanted to do around the area! Literally a 5 minute walk down to the beach! Definitely will be back!

We stayed at this property while in LA for a one week sporting event, and there is no question we will be staying here again anytime we return to LA. The house is very beachy and the views are fabulous. However, what makes this such a great property is the area it is in. It is not in the congested overcrowded parts of LA and is a secret gem in a quiet neighborhood with everything you could ask for. The restaurants in the area are exceptional. the beach is a quick 5 min walk, the airport is 10 minutes away, and the hosts are incredible. Without a doubt, this will be our regular landing pad whenever we come to LA, and we can't thank the hosts enough for having us.

Everything was perfect. Lovely home with many cozy sitting areas, a huge rooftop deck, and ocean views from everywhere. Best feature - the host! She was amazing, accommodating our wierd schedule and taking time to make us feel welcome in her home!

Perfect, very clean and comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood near the beach with lots of easy dining restaurants. The be all and end of this place is the roof top deck with its view of Santa Monica Bay and Mountains and the city sky line. And there is a fire pit and a jacuzzi. The kitchen was really well equipped and there is a Whole Foods up the road. Could not have been a better find in LA!

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Spacious, clean, and great view. Within walking distance to restaurants and market. Very nice master suite and roof top deck was exceptional. The host was great at check in and had excellent communication though out the process.

A lovely, modern, spacious home overlooking the ocean. A perfect getaway for a couple wishing to entertain friends or family. The house has a serious kitchen for those who want to cook, including an outdoor gas grill. The property is full of light, with delightful views. The house was scrupulously clean and well-stocked with just about everything one could want.

Everything was perfect! Our close friends and us had a fabulous stay at this well appointed, beautiful home. The views are amazing and the house is walking distance to several restaurants. Our host Darla was terrific! We will definitely be back.

My family made the trip to the LA area and Montreal Magic on the wettest week of 2021. Despite the rain and some ants it ushered into the property - it was a great trip. The property is terrific. Views of the beach, ocean, hills are amazing. We were quick stumble or walk to the water. The home has 3 bedrooms. We had 5 people. It was laid out in such a way that we were totally comfortable and could have fit more. Sitting outside in the hot tub was exquisite and shared the same views. The fireplaces (outside and in), the plants … the place was magical. Responsiveness - The owners got back to us immediately the couple times we reached out to them. They were very patient. They also gave us great recommendations on places to eat and things to do in Playa Del Rey. Overall a great stay in a great place made better by great hosts.

Every part of the process worked seamlessly. Home was in a great location and perfect for my family. Darla was an exceptional host!!

The house is a perfect choice if you are staying in the LA area. Gorgeous views, beautiful house! Very comfortable place to stay. Everything provided for an enjoyable stay. Very cordial hosts!!

The house is clean, stunning and tastefully decorated. Feels like a family home. Walking distance from coffee, excellent restaurants, cute shops and local bars. From the deck, there are breathtaking views of the Marina and the beach. All in all this home is a perfectly curated family beach oasis in PDR. It would be a perfect place for a summer BBQ... however, be aware that the neighbors are on high alert for parties / groups over 6.

This house was exactly as shown in the photos. The house had everything we needed, was extremely clean and well stocked. The roof deck is even better than the the photos. You will feel like you are in a 5 star hotel! We loved this home and would definitely stay again! Darla was a great host!
