Great place to stay and the owner was so nice and took us with his car to the train station in the early morning😊

* A very dodgy payment situation...the moment I arrived he just came at me "You have to pay cash!"...I called my bank, they said they hadn't blocked any payments, so it's like they just really wanted to get paid in cash...??? Very dodgy... * NO Sun blocking curtains - so the room is all lit up at 6am and you can't get back to sleep. It's amazing how property owners forget about the obvious details like this. This is your holiday, you will want to sleep in and not be woken up by the sunlight. A 5 Euro curtain from the IKEA would make such a HUGE difference...but they often forget these things which lead to bad reviews. * The location is NOT for a holiday trip!!!!...it's a 40 minute walk to the bus/train station, a 40 minute walk to the nearest beach, and a 1+ hour walk to the Casino area (buses are not very practical, routes are very unclear). * The area is not nice at all, and walking back at night was not a pleasant experience. * The bed was pretty bad, you can feel the coils in your back when you sleep...didn't get a good sleep at all * NO English....communication was very energy consuming... If you are going to be serious about running a tourist hotel...learn at least the basics. It could have been that you did have a solution for some of the issues I've listed, but the thought of going into a one hour back and forth session with Google translate so I could explain what the problems were (which should have not been there in the first place) during my holiday was a no go. If you don't offer a practical way of communicating, guests will communicate via their reviews. I see there are a lot of positive reviews for this place, but I noticed there are quite a few people staying here that didn't seem to be tourists...they seemed more long term...workers?

the room was great. a/c great. nice patio attached to room. no complaints about bathroom. kitchen had what i needed. mini fridge in room. and truly, the owners were nice people. overall, it really was a nice stay. with the exception of my explanation below.

two different days, two men attempted to open my door. one did and i confronted him and he said he mistook my door for the door to the stairs (bullsh*t). i’ve attached a photo of the door to the stairs and the door to my room, i’m sure you all can guess which is which. unfortunate experience because the owners are nice, despite the lack of communication we could have. speaking of which, older couple who i believe owns the property do not speak English. which is fine. but they take the approach that louder and faster Romanian will solve the problem. they also refuse to use the google translate on your phone you offer to them. frustrating. but, since i cannot speak Romanian, it’s hard to complain too much that they cannot speak English. regardless, when attempting to explain how men are attempting to come into your room, it proves frustrating. i did not wish to leave any negative aspects to my review. but i was not happy with someone attempting to enter my room two days in a row. because it does not reflect on the owners, entirely..
