We use VRBO to experience what life is like in the country we are in. Valerie's spot in Skerries right on the water with a walk along the shore to town gave us that experience and more. Our host was fantastic providing true Irish hospitality. From Skerries we were able to travel to Malahide and Howth by rail. These 3 towns along the north shore of County Dublin are fantastic visits. But our return each day to this place on the water watching the sunset was special. We made friends with the restaurant staff and saw them on the street to say high. A great way to experience true Ireland.

Stayed at Valeries Flat for a week with my sister and it was wonderful. The flat is as described and the view of the water just wonderful. Valerie was warm and very helpful. She helped us with directions, cab info and even drove us to the train station, which is about a 20-minute walk from the flat. The flat had all the items we needed, most importantly to my sister and I... coffee. We would definitely stay again, as the flat and Skerries was just wonderful. Thank you, Valerie, for a wonderful stay.

Another fabulous week in Skerries to ease into the working year. The views amazing, Valerie is very communicative, the apartment is very well kitted out, lovely personal touches.

Beautiful apartment in a fantastic setting. We spent a lot of time looking out the windows at the wildlife - seals every day.No road between the apartment and the sea front, you are right there. Large bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Valerie was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Local supermarket was 5 min walk. We arrived by train and that was walkable with light luggage.

We had such a relaxing time so sorry we weren't able to stay longer. Property, host! location ! brilliant cant wait to return 😀

Listening to the Sea from our White Cottage was so soothing. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and a pint are a short walk. Valerie was very accommodating. We liked sitting out on the patio with complete privacy. We watched the sun come up over Skerries and set over Balbriggan. Great location. Dublin is a short drive south. North Ireland is a short drive north. Galway and the Cliffs of Moher due west. Great stay. Thank you.

Friendly owners delicious scones and the soothing sounds of the sea at night sending you to sleep.Very handy walk into town about 10 minutes and Skerries station not far for trains into Dublin you could stay there without a car easily.

Fantastic apartment in a great location just a ten minute walk to the harbour area with lovely bars and restaurants. View from the apartment was amazing. Valerie was a great host and would hope to return again.

We expected it to be wonderful and it exceeded all our expectations. The apt. is totally lovely, excellent attention to detail. The view is to die for! Best of all, the warm and charming hostess and her family. Easy to get into Dublin by short train ride. A lovely walk to the harbor to enjoy the best food .imaginable. Lots of friendly locals. Looking forward to returning.

We were warmly greeted by Valerie who showed us around the apartment. She even had milk, eggs and fresh scones with butter and jam waiting for us. The apartment was clean, bright and had amazing views. Our boys loved exploring the tide pools and the town of Skerries was a quick 10 minute walk away. We would definitely come again and would recommend it to friends. Thank you Valerie for sharing your wonderful home with us.

My husband and I ended our 14 day trip around Ireland here at Skerries and this property was the perfect way to unwind and relax! We enjoyed walking to dinner, watching the sunsets and sunrises, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves! The apartment was clean and well stocked. Valerie was very helpful! We will definitely stay again when we return!

This is a lovely place to stay. Ideally located for trips to Dublin and great for exploring the Boyne valley. The accommodation has all you could require (and more) with lots of little homely touches - like the scone awaiting you on arrival. It is warm and welcoming as is Valerie! And the view is to die for.

We loved the location and the private off road parking. Kitchen was well laid out and a welcome surprise for us who like to cook. Great king sized bed and very comfy with lots of cupboards and storage. Because this apartment is on the second floor the view out the living room window was only of the sky; not the water. The outdoor deck overlooking the water actually belongs to the owner’s property on the main level (directly in front of their apartment) so it is not private.however they did observe our privacy when ever we used it. Photos and description are misleading about this. The bathroom was a good size although the shower could use an upgrade. The owner Valerie was very friendly and most accommodating.

Valerie was the most gracious and kind host. I very much appreciated the thoughtful welcome gift of scones, eggs, and basics which was perfect. My husband and I wish we'd had more time to visit alas our schedule kept us busy in the short time we stayed. The rest of our group stayed next door at the white cottages b&b and had a fantastic experience as well. We are grateful to not only have found a beautiful place in Skerries but also a welcoming place to call home base in our time there. Thank you again. ~Carrie and Eric
