Very comfortable apart from lack of hot water
Pipes frozen necessitating trip to supermarket to buy water. Frozen pipes in winter in Braidwood must be a common occurrence and should be fixed or at least guests given a warning. Very inconvenient when trying to get ready for a breakfast function. A supply of water would have been appreciated.

Located in centre of town close to cafes. Room was comfortable with an eclectic mix of old and new.
Towels needed softener 😬.

This is the cutest little cottage with a bit of a quirky touch. It’s on the main street so close to everything but not noisy. The room and the bed were both very comfortable. We loved our stay here and would gladly come again.

I just loved the feel of the cottage and it was central to everything. 3 mins to the wedding destination made it even better.

I loved how the space was used. The room felt cosy, the decor was interesting. It was central to town but was quiet at night.

The property was very quaint and with no trucks rumbling past it would be perfect!

We loved our stay at Wallace Lodge. It's a lovely and charming cottage with loads of character. It was very clean and comfortable with everything you would need. It's location is right in the centre of the town. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely furnishings, very comfortable and quant studio in the main street.
I would of liked a hot plate to brew coffee but there was a coffee plunger so we made do.

Such a well thought out apartment. So many interesting items and beautiful paintings. The king bed was pure lush!

The room was extremely clean and located right in town. You can step out and find all you need within walking distance.
We were initially concerned regarding traffic noise but it was quiet overnight.
You can park on the street directly outside the apartment.
The apartment has an unusual but interesting decor with a mixture of modern to antique.
The owner met us prior to our departure. Elizabeth was very friendly and did not rush us in any way.
A very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The apartment had all that you needed the only issue was that the bath towels were rough but they did dry well.

We loved everything about our stay here. The location, the comfy bed, the large room. Peaceful at night even though right on the main road. Some amazing restaurants in Braidwood. Great spot to stay.

It's more like an apartment than a motel room. The very large bed is extremely comfortable. And the place is full of tasteful antique furniture and original artwork by the owner.
The cooking facilities are basic but since Wallace Lodge is located in the middle of Braidwood on the main street this really isn't a disadvantage.

We called the phone number provided and were met within 5 minutes to receive the key.

This is a great little cottage accommodation right in the historic town of Braidwood. Everything we needed was walking distance with the outlook being a heritage buildings streetscape. Elizabeth has excelled in her ability to make the best use of the space using an eclectic style of interior decorating which was very pleasant and incredibly comfortable . You will find one night is nowhere near long enough for your stay so make plans to extend your break .
Our stay was cut short due to a snap state Covid lockdown which meant we had to head home before we intended.
