This property was just as described. It was very clean and comfortable. It was a nice stay for my husband and I. This was our first time staying in Black Mountain. The rental was very close to town. I saw someone was concerned with the roads to the unit but we never had issues. We are from a small town so the roads were normal for us. The one thing I would recommend is the driveway the renter uses is very rough and does need to be repaved or graveled. We were in a Jeep so it wasn't an issue for us but if we were in a car that sits lower to the ground it may have been a problem. That is not a complaint but just letting others be aware. We had no complaints. The unit was clean and comfortable for us. There were lots of extra amenities also, there was coffee, sweeteners, tea bags and snacks. Everything you could need while there was provided and some bonuses. We had a great time and if we travel in this location again I wouldn't hesitate to rent this unit again.

A clean property which answers most everyone’s needs. The owners responded promptly to my questions. It is located on a narrow road, which has signage saying, “ Do not Enter” on one end, which was very confusing. I was always afraid I would meet another car and have nowhere to pull over. You are in the mountains, so you must understand that the roads are not wide.

Neighborhood and house was nice. Studio with kitchen and bathroom was clean and well maintained. I received email with address, but no further information. Went to house and knocked. Was given verbal instructions to take first right, then right to basement apartment. Door had code. Nothing on email. Then owner walks outside and gives me code to door lock. Other than that, all was perfect.

Our stay was very relaxing. We loved the proximity to town and the tranquility of the neighborhood. Brandi was very kind and communication was easy.

Super clean. Hosts were great, very accommodating. Lots of nice attention to detail. Comfortable bed. Highly recommended.

Property was located in a quiet community, a short walk to Lake Tamarack and down town., making for nice walks with our dog. Our bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot.

The “peaceful mountain getaway” was just that! We enjoyed our stay in this cozy black mountain apartment. The location was quiet yet within walking distance to Lake Tomahawk ( great for me and my dog), and just a short drive to Asheville. The accommodations were clean and stocked with all necessities. Brandi was easy to contact and a great host. I will definitely stay there again in the future.

This little basement apartment is very clean, and everything I needed was supplied. I didn't have my dog with me but thought it was so thoughtful to provide dog towels and bags! Even though it is a basement it felt very bright. The bed is very comfy, extra blanket provided if needed. I felt very safe here and enjoyed my stay!

It was a nice getaway form the city

Enjoyed the heart of black mountain. A 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville. Just the perfect space for two. And pup friendly!!

My husband and I love this little place. It's pet friendly, close to Lake Tomahawk and all Black Mountain has to offer. We're so glad we found this cozy rental!

We couldn’t stream anything to watch - assuming it was due to internet//being in the mountains. No big deal for us since it was late anyway & we were tired. We didn’t spend a lot of time here- just sleeping & shower to leave out next morning.

I wanted a peaceful place to stay after a long drive and this place was perfect. Quiet, clean and safe with a large outdoor area to hang-out. Lovely

What a warm and inviting home. No stone was left unturned, Jay and Brandi thought of everything. The bed was so comfortable, kitchen well stocked, temperature perfect and there was plenty of space for two of us and our large 4 legged baby. J&B were so kind, communicative and gave us wonderful recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The location was central to all things, especially great hiking trails. We will absolutely be back and we HIGHLY recommend this sweet place to stay.

Overall a nice clean, and quiet place to stay, All of the basic needs supplied. Nice lake to walk around very close. Short drive to main street.. I would give this a five but the driveway needs to be repaved it is crumbling, with some deep pits and hard to navigate and not hit bottom if you are not in a truck or similar vehicle.

A comfy bed, enough room for our large dog's crate, great internet, and a kitchen where we could heat up the dinners we brought on a little two burner unit. But to us, what stood out was how many thoughtful little touches there were -- the art, the extra dog towels, the sense that our hosts cared about the space as much as they might care for their home above us. It was easy getting there, thanks to their good directions, and easy to use the code. These are things that matter to us after a long day driving in the rain~!
