The cabin is always a great place to stay. From playing pool to sitting by the fire ( plenty of firewood supplied) or even playing games, there is always something to do. If you want to relax, there is a wondering large size veranda with plenty of outdoor furniture, table and BBQ. You will be visited by a variety of birds, possums, echidnas and wallabies. Go for walks down to the community pool or just around the property. 20 minute drive to Dungog if you need to replenish food or drinks. I 5 to 10 minute drive to Chichester Dam for sight seeing or a picnic lunch. Always a very relaxing stay and will keep going back as long as we can. Blackwattle is by far my favourite cabin.

the bed could have been more comfortable but really a minor complaint, everything else was great

big open living area and big covered deck. We all loved the pool table and the friendly native animals that visited us throughout the day and into the evening.

couches are too shallow and uncomfortable for taller people but this is a minor thing

Lovely position, peaceful and quiet. Abundance of bird and animal life.

Fireplace hopeless, no heat generated. Flue possibly needs cleaning, firewood was damp. Combustion fire requires a fan to spread the heat. Even with split air con on high, incapable of heating living area. Bathroom door hinge broken, door had to be lifted to open and close otherwise it would jamb.

We loved our stay at blackwattle! Such a peaceful setting with visiting birds, possums and kangaroos each day. It was great to have access to the tennis court and pool too. The kitchen was amazing and the whole space just fantastic especially the large deck.

Great location and space! Pool table was awesome - and the dartboard! Swimming pool & tennis court were also a hit.

would have liked the grass around the home to be mowed - although it made for great entertainment to see the wallabies nestling in! Swimming pool water quality was not the greatest… Aircon seemed to struggle to keep the place cool - but it was 37 degrees!
