Gabriele met us at the parking garage down the street and opened the apartment for us. He checked in by text once or twice during our stay and was very helpful. The location of the apartment was great and so was the opportunity to wash our clothes after several days of hiking!

There was a little bit of noise from other nearby apartments (people on balconies at night), but closing the windows and turning on the AC took care of that just fine.

Our host met us at the train station & drove us to the center of Varenna, then assisted us down the rustic city stairs to our unit. The unit was a complete one bedroom apartment with a balcony/bistro table & chairs, living room with sofa, dining area with table & chairs, fully furnished & equipped kitchen, full bathroom with a washing machine & a big bedroom with a comfy bed and large closets. Last, but not least, we could stand by the living room window & gaze out at Lake Como. Outstanding!! We found that we were a short walk down to the sunset watching/swimming area, had a brief walk to the ferry station for cruising to towns on the lake & had great experiences at the coffee bar at the top of the stairs & the restaurants in the town center. The entire experience was so positive that we could easily have stayed for a much longer time.

A spacious and well located apartment. The owner arranged to pick us up from and deliver us back to the train station which was a huge bonus. Located in the lane way opposite the information centre and nearby the square where the main church and many cafes are located. All amenities were available and even a small balcony to take in the fresh air.

The location is perfect for access to village square in less than a minute, but just sufficiently away from it for peacefulness and quiet. Apartment is roomy, spotlessly clean and well stocked with all you need. There are 3 or 4 small village shops that between them will provide all the food and drink provisions to satisfy self-catering needs. The bed was comfortable for a good and quiet night's sleep. Last but not least was Gabriele who offered to pick us up from the local train station on arrival (and take us back again). He was very helpful on check in, and knowledgeable about the village and surrounds.

The location was perfect, extremely close to both the beach and restaurants. The apartment was very nice, clean and comfortable. A nice balcony from which you can se the lake if you stand up tall.

The kitchen supply is okey but it could have been better equipped.

Location was initially somewhat challenging to find, more a reflection of how streets are laid out, but once we arrived we loved it.

The host met us upon arrival and facilitated the parking of our car. He was very helpful, flexible and friendly. The apartment itself was very clean and very well equipped. It is also located centrally in Varenna. You can easily walk to all the places worth visiting. Just a minute walk from the apartment there is a nice spot to swim in the lake!

Nothing! Everything was perfect, just like we expected it to be!

We very much appreciated Gabriele's pick up and drop off at the train station! He also provided us with all the information we needed about staying in the property as well as where to find groceries. We loved the location of this flat - it was quiet and private, but close enough to amenities and the water. Afternoon sun on the balcony accompanied with a glass of wine was heaven.

The well-equipped kitchen did not have wine glasses.

The hidden cleaning charges of €30 PER PERSON which are totally excessive and are not advertised on booking.com before you book. The €150 cash deposit for damages of which they take the cleaning charges from so therefore there is false advertising. Also terrible sofa bed. It goes down in the middle and one of our guests had to put the mattress on the floor as the sofa is so bad to sit on and sleep on. This is an apartment for 2 people....do NOT have a 3rd person as their back will be sore from the "sofa bed".
