Luigi was an excellent host, met us on the property to assist with check in and other local information. The home was perfect, 3 spacious bedrooms and nice living area and kitchen. Outdoor patio was well maintained and covered from sun. An excellent home and value for anyone traveling to Naples.

Fantastic apartment! Well equipped, spacious and with the best possible balcony and terrace. Luigi was helpful, easy to communicate with and efficient. We all hope to come back to Casa del cedro.

The view, the setting, the neighborhood, the apartment were all superior and truly fantastic. There's a lot of walking up hills to be done, and this needs to be taken into account. One issue is that there is no hot tub, as the listing says, and there are not four bedrooms but three. Other than that, the listing was accurate.

Beautiful apartment, roomy, fully supplied, gorgeous garden and terraces, wonderful neighborhood, close to Funicolare. Luigi was a wonderful host, extremely helpful. His communication was excellent. Our only regret is we should have booked a longer stay. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful apartment. The views are breathtaking. The apartment is comfortable and provides everything you need. The beds have the right amount of firmness without being too hard and great bedding. Luigi is a wonderful host and always available to answer questions we had during our stay. We can’t wait to come back.

We loved staying here, the apartment is a short walk from the local Metro which can take you all over Naples. The host was very helpful and the apartment was well appointed. The Carefour Market is just a ten minutes walk away making it easy to stock up on food and drink. The real gem is the views from the apartment of Naples, Naples Bay and Mount Vesuvius.

Luigi’s apartment is an absolute slice of heaven. The property is beyond lovely, in a great neighborhood, very comfortable and well appointed. The surrounding terrace with its views of the bay, Capri, and Mt Vesuvius is stunning. The pictures on the Vrbo site don’t do it justice, it is hands down the most fantastic Vrbo rental property we have ever used. I cannot recommend the apartment, nor Luigi’s hospitality, highly enough. Should we be lucky enough to return to Naples again, I know exactly who to reach out to for another stay; in a word, perfection.

Stunning view of the bay from a beautiful garden terrace. Two outdoor seating areas. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of room for three couples with private baths. Short walk to funicular and Metro station. Luigi is a wonderful host. Met us at the apartment when we arrived and was very helpful with taxis. Loved our stay!

When you arrive at Luigi’s apartment, a beautiful home unfolds before you. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful bedrooms. Beautiful bathrooms (one for each bedroom). A sleek kitchen and large lounge and dining room. Then you see the view and it takes your breath away. Across the bay to Mount Vesuvius. Down a few stairs to your own private multi-level garden. The whole apartment is an oasis from the vibrant hustle and bustle of Naples. Tempting as it is to stay in the apartment all day, you must get out and discover Naples. During the day, take a visit to Herculaneum or head up to the Castle. Wind your way through the backstreets and find the Maradona street portrait. At night head up to Vomero and enjoy the local cuisine in the nearby restaurants.

Beautifully maintained apartment -wonderfully furnished and supplied. Location is within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, a fabulous supermarket and La Floridiana Park. Truly a charming and safe part of the Spanish Quarter. Luigi and his wife are lovely hosts answering all our questions in order to give us a walking lay of the land. Would love to go back to Naples to stay in their VRBO.

This is an absolutely wonderful property. This is the 2nd year in a row where my wife and I stayed. Vomero is above Naples proper and offers a magnificent view of the city and the Gulf of Naples. Luigi is a great host as well. Highly recommended.

Luigi could not have been more accommodating. The apartment had the very best views and the patio was more than expected. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms were modern and spacious. This was the very best stay my wife and I have had in Naples. If we visit Naples again we will stay here.

I cannot recommend this property enough. Naples was the best stop on our Italian vacation. Our check in at this property sets the bar incredibly high for any other experience. Luigi had a few light refreshments for us and even helped us order taxis for our excursions. He was the BEST host we’ve ever had. I will highly recommend this for any friends and family traveling to Italy. You must see Pompeii while in Naples. It was the best tour of our vacation. Book with Paolo or a member of his family for the best experience. The topography of the city is a little challenging for those not used to walking, which is the only aspect that contributed to my less than perfect rating.

Luigi met my family on location to introduce us to the property. The pictures for the property do not do it justice (size, patio & view). All the “little things” were there to make the stay perfect. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful and Luigi was available for any local support. Magnifico! 👌

Great location and very safe at night to walk. It’s close to the funicular and Metro. (even though we didn’t take the metro). We slept with the windows open each night and ate our breakfast on each of the outdoor tables. The apartment is large (1600 sq. Ft) view is incredible, especially at night. Remembering this is in a building surrounded by multiple dwellings, it has the sound of a large city. Horns honking and dogs are barking. Luigi was an excellent host and answered all questions promptly. He helped with transportation to and from the airport. It was quite comfortable for two of us. A trip to Capri is a ‘Must’! We spent the night there. A microwave and toaster would have been nice to have at the apartment. We walked to town (the first couple of times is a killer as it is all uphill and stairs) each morning for fresh pastries. The sushi and hamburger place across from the funicular are great!! Lots of great restaurants to choose from. We’d stay again if we cam back to Naples. Ciao.

We had such a lovely stay at Luigi’s beautiful apartment. The apartment was stunning as were the garden and view. Luigi was also super helpful and really nice. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We hope to be back again soon!

The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. We loved the terraces. The location is excellent, away from the congestion of the city and fabulous views. Luigi was very helpful in booking taxis to the airport for us. Great to have a washing machine. We had a very relaxing time, just what we wanted.

We arrive later in the evening and Luigi met us at the apartment. He walked us through the unit and an overview of the area. The view of the bay of Naples from the private garden that we had was wonderful. The apartment is on a quiet street, with limited traffic. We enjoyed coming home at the end of the day and sitting in the garden. The apartment was probably the High Point first day in Naples.

We stayed for 10 days in Luigi's stupendous apartment in the Vomero. For the first week we were two, and for the last three days four Italian friends joined us. There was plenty of room for three couples, each having their own bathroom. Even for two people, the main part of the apartment is vast: it is spacious, elegant, and beautiful. The views out the three double-door French windows onto the balcony are truly breathtaking - and the icing on this gorgeous Neapolitan cake is the two-level PRIVATE garden. Our host Luigi was extremely gracious, intelligent and helpful. He spent what must have been hours struggling with the VRBO system to accommodate our addition of three days and four more people long after we have made the initial reservation. He came to meet us with his lovely wife, showed us the apartment, left meticulous instructions, was easy to reach when we had a question during our stay, and saw us off when we left. The apartment on the quiet via Palizzi is a haven of peace and quiet, before and after a day sight-seeing down in hectic Naples. The Vomero is a lively and interesting neighborhood, with plenty of restaurants and shops. One of the highlights of the Vomero for me was the Certosa di San Martino, a 15 or 20-minute walk from the apartment, with its Neapolitan Baroque splendors. What treat to be able to visit, view great art, and amble home (downhill...). But to return to the apartment -- we truly believe that it is the best place to stay in Naples. We hope to return one day, but will have to book months in advance! Our warmest thanks to Luigi for sharing his remarkable home.

My wife and I have been to Napoli 4 times, staying in different parts of the city to get a feeling for the different quarters. This was the first time we stayed in Vomero. It's a wonderful location above the city with a spectacular view of the Bay and its surroundings. The property was also wonderful. Spacious, grand, and well-equipped inside with an exquisite garden overlooking the city outside. The neighbor is quiet and safe, with great old residential buildings. It's important to know that Vomero is very hilly and requires the ability to walk up hill and climb a lot of stairs. This should not be a problem for most people - my wife and I are both in our 70s and had no problem getting around in the heat of early September. Close by - within a 10 minute walk - is a bustling neighbor with shops, restaurants, specialty food shops, a Carrerfour supermarket and public transportation - the Line 1 Metro, and two funiculars are nearby. Luigi is a wonderful host, and would always answer our texts within about 10 minutes. His family has owed this property for many years, and this makes a big difference when renting. We have learned over the years to rent from property owners who really care about their property. And Luigi really does.

We loved the flat! The view was amazing and the flat was well appointed, had everything we needed and was super clean. The hill to get to transportation is a bit of a challenge, but manageable once you sort it the first time. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Luigi!

Beautiful decor, stunning views, peaceful location all made this stay truly lovely! Nice location between a modern shopping area the historic area. Close to public transport though my family walked everywhere. We saw all of the sites without moving our car which we easily parked upon arrival on the street near the apartment. Host was very kind and left us cool drinks in the refrigerator which we greatly appreciated. We will be back!

This place exceeded our expectations. The apartment was very well decorated, spacious, with a lovely garden and amazing views over Naples across the bay to Sorrento and Capri. A rare find in a busy city. If anything it’s better than advertised! Only minor minus is the walk up the hill to the metro and shops. Once at the Metro access to the city is easy and fast.

This is a really amazing property with ample space, well maintained, superlative outdoor area with garden and amazing view over Naples. Great communication with Luigi. Exceeded all our expectations!

The space was very comfortable and the patio was excellent. We enjoyed sitting each afternoon and just enjoying the view. The local restaurants and shops are very nice. It takes a while to get down to the waterfront etc.

Great place! Very clean and modern. We drove to Naples and we’re blessed to find a parking spot on the street right in front of the property. Everything was within walking distance in our opinion. We did ride the Metro to Pompeii and it was really smooth. Luigi was there to great us and show us around. He gave recommendations for dinner and provided a map of the area. The garden terrace was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out enjoying the views in the evening.
