House is spacious, well equipped and perfect for a group. Access to beach and wonderful restaurant, coffee shop, market all ideal. Shawna was readily available and great to work with. Meylin cooked us a delicious meal the night we arrived and house was stocked with pre ordered groceries. Everyone in our family was 100% happy at Casa Amigos!

Beautiful house and cannot beat the location for access to Playa Grande. We saw gorgeous sunsets each evening and the kids learned to surf this trip! The property manager also helped us to arrange a catamaran trip and some other fun activities. 10/10 would stay here again! Thank you!

Our extended family traveled down to Playa Grande to stay at Casa Amigos in February for the kid's school break. We had 6 adults and 4 children in our group, and I will say this was one of the best experiences with VRBO we have had ever. Between the hands down professional style trip planning services provided by Shawna (Casa Manager) prior to our arrival, to the constant communication and face to face greeting upon check in, we were extremely impressed by the level of service provided. The house was well appointed, extremely clean and provided a relaxing and fun retreat for everyone. Shawna provided grocery stocking service prior to our arrival, assisted with several day trip activities, scheduled a local chef (Yani) to prepare several lovely meals for us and was available and communicative with us all week while we navigated our first time in CR. The house's proximity to the beach path was amazing, especially for quick dips down for early morning coffee or evening happy hour sunsets. The pool and pergolas were a welcome retreat from the heat during the day and there were plenty of pool floats, toys, and floatation devices for the kids. Truly a fantastic experience and would recommend Casa Amigos to anyone traveling to the Playa Grande area, especially with larger group or family.

I cannot say enough good things about Casa Amigos. My family of 7 spent a wonderful week in this house. The backyard is as lovely as the pictures from the pool and the shaded cabana where we had our coffee every morning to the large table area also in the shade for our dinners and nightly games. The home is very clean and supplied with everything you could possibly need. Our granddaughter especially loved the huge bag of beach toys for the pool and beach. Just a short walk away were 3 great places to eat, all with wonderful outdoor seating. The beach is close by and is semi private to watch the sunset or just enjoy the sand and water. We felt very safe in the house and walking anywhere in the area. The house manager, Shawna, was so very helpful, from stocking us with groceries before we got there to arranging transportation and all of our excursions. We would have been lost without her. Do not pass on this house. It is one of the best rental homes I have ever stayed in. We had high expectations for this home based on the pictures, and Casa Amigos exceeded them.

Property was excellent. Suited our family wonderfully. Beach was close and pool was great. We did not rent a vehicle so getting some groceries was a challenge, but we figured it out.

Property is just as described. Great location, beautiful home, gorgeous pool area, short walk to beach. It was the perfect getaway with the BEST restaurant just steps away! Would definitely return!

Wow! Our family had THE BEST TIME. The very attentive concierge service helped us organize activities (sailing, animal sanctuary, mud baths) The 5 bedrooms/5 bathrooms was a PERFECT set up for our group. We had the kitchen stocked and ready for us. The walk to Playa Grande was THE BEST PART. Costa Rica (my first trip) is now at the top of my list. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. Very memorable. Casa amigos is an amazing property. The property is exactly as described, close to the beach (about 2 minute walk), had everything we needed, and more! On top of the amazing property, Shawna is fabulous to work with. She was super helpful throughout the entire planning process, arrival and available at all times during our stay! She said everything up for us, and even arrange for a chef to come in, which I highly recommend Yani if you are staying there! can’t say enough good things about this property and the people associated with it! Would definitely stay again!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The beach was gorgeous and such a wonderful location for our small wedding. Shawna was awesome. I find pictures usually look better online but this place was better in person. Everyone had a great time.

The house was perfect for our party of 9. The kids (teenagers) had plenty to keep them busy between the pool, beach, and ping pong table. The house had everything you could need to cook at home but there were restaurants within walking distance as well. The beach is very easy to access and was great for both swimming and surfing. We would definitely consider staying at this house again if we travel with a large group again.

The house had everything we needed and literally a 3 minute walk to the beach. The owner and house manager answered all our questions and took care of EVERYTHING, our excursions, transportation and groceries. My one and only complaint is that there is not a tv in the bedrooms, except for the outside-upstairs room. Great location and we lived out the backyard oasis.

We had a fabulous time! The casa was wonderful and perfect for three family friends wanting to celebrate a 50th birthday and two high school graduations. The home has five ensuite bedrooms with one suite upstairs. One has a bunk bed and queen bed w/bath. For three families with eight teens it worked perfectly for our vacation! The home is very comfortable with AC during a hot, rainy and very humid season. Pool was great and perfectly heated. Beach is extremely close and safe just across the dirt road. The whole area is gated with a guard station. We felt comfortable walking to dining at night. The size of the place is not huge, est under 3K sf but the layout worked perfectly for our needs. Shawna is awesome and very quick with communication. She helped setup the tours, transfers and transportation to and from the activities. I would reco using Shawna and her team to schedule activities versus going through an online sites. It costs a bit more but it's full service with transportation and your own driver for the day. Most of the activities (Guachepelin and Rio Celeste) were about 2+ hour drive from the casa. They were completely worth it! The drivers were accommodating if you needed to add additional stops (ATM, grocery market, food pick-up, etc.). All-in-all we all had a great first visit to Costa Rica! We will be back!

We had a great time at Casa De Amigos. It’s beautifully decorated and you can’t beat the location. The beach was so close and we got fresh coconuts from the women at the corner. It had everything we could need and it was private. The outdoor area was a nice retreat after catching the morning waves. Shawna, the property manager is wonderful and answered all our questions and setup our deep sea fishing trip and transfers. She is amazing!! We got to meet Mark (one of the owners) and he was a fountain of knowledge and such a delight to talk with. Don’t hesitate to book this place!

Casa Amigos was absolutely perfect! We had a large groups with 6 adults and 3 teenagers. The house was spotless, stocked, spacious enough for everyone, the backyard was just the right vibe for relaxing and the location of the house couldn’t have been better! A super short walk out to the beach and right next door to Cafe Azul! Which lets put this out there right now, Cafe Azul’s food was spot on every single time! Not to mention friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Oh and happy hour everyday! We ate there at least 4 times :-) Also the Grateful Hotel had some amazing Ahi Tuna and mango margaritas:-) Surf lessons for the teens were a huge hit as well as renting surf boards and bikes. My only lesson learned is stop at the grocery store in Liberia on your way in! There is a store in Tamarindo and in the neighborhood, but as expected they are super pricey and might not have what you need. We got what we needed, just paid a little more. Scott the owner was incredibly friendly and was easy to communicate with from the beginning. One of the biggest pluses of this house was getting to work with Shawna and Jorge. Shawn worked with me for months and we had a large group which means changing plans. She was so patient and helpful and we couldn’t have done this trip without her. She stopped by during the week to check on us and even brought by a fruit that a member of our group had been searching for all week! My kids are already planning our return!!!

We had an amazing stay on our first trip to Costa Rica at Casa de Amigos. We were two families, 4 adults and 5 kids. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and fully air conditioned. The house was very well equipped with everything you’ll need including beach towels, chairs and boogie boards. Located right across from the public access to the beach, we could walk into the water in just two minutes. Saw the best sunsets every night. Fantastic pool and outdoor area at the house as well. Palm Beach Estates felt very safe and we really enjoyed walking to great restaurants, bars, surf shops and the market. The house manager Shawna helped us arrange a few activities including a trip to Buena Vista del Rincon Eco Lodge. We also used a local surf shop to arrange group surfing lessons and a snorkeling excursion. Can’t say enough about this great property! We will be back.

Fantastic place to stay in Costa Rica. The house was big enough for 11 of us (3 generations). The outside space is amazing. So close to the beach. Shawna was great to work with. Highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed this house. The house is well-equipped and the backyard/pool area is stunning. Our kids enjoyed the ping pong table, the boogie boards and the pool. The beach across the road is gorgeous and the restaurant next door was our favourite place to eat. Overall we had a really great stay!

This house exceeded my expectations, we had family and friends get together, perfect for all of us. The house is equipped with everything you’ll need, the pool is perfect, the beach is a few steps away, we can’t think of anything else to make it a perfect stay. It also felt very private and safe! I recommend 100%, we will be back for sure! As a costarican that has been coming to playa grande for over 30 years, this location continues to be a top favorite.

Well sorted house that suits everyones desires. Layout was superb, pool was amazing, grounds were well thought out and maintained, proximity was excellent.

First, the up-front communication in advance of our stay was excellent and thoughtful. The location with easy access to the beach is wonderful. There is an upstairs suite accessed adjacent to the pool that makes it separate from the main living area which is nice if you have two groups like we did. The house is well equipped with everything including beach toys, chairs, etc. There are several areas for lounging and eating. Cleaning staff came twice during our week and were excellent. Several restaurants and bars and a small store are all within walking distance including a water taxi to Tamarindo. I would enjoy returning. It’s difficult to imagine finding anything that could surpass our experience here.

Casa Amigos made our vacation wonderful! Located a 2min walk to ocean beach with waves for surfers/boogie boarders and swimmers jumping through and over the waves! Located a 2min walk to Cafe Mar Azul run by Victor where we ate daily excellent local fish and even lobster one day! Breakfasts and tropical drinks were popular! Also near very small grocery store which we used into our 12 day visit! We were happy to not use rental cars and the house manager arranged a van driver, usually Alejandro, to drive us to and from Liberia airport, fishing trips in Tamarindo and an excellent day trip to Buena Vista del Rincon Eco Adventure Lodge! The house Casa Amigos was clean, well supplied with everything including 15 big beach towels, Tommy Bahama folding beach chairs, 6 boogie boards, pool toys, nice drip coffee maker, and indoor ping pong table. A/C in all indoor areas was great! Individual control in all 5 bedrms! Pool was big and 8 nice padded chaise lounges around the pool. Shaded large outdoor dining table and shaded couches/chairs under large fans! We used everything daily. Surf board rental 2 min walk! Palm Beach neighborhood is a tropical forest filled with owner and rental homes and small hotels well spaced apart all close to the ocean beach. Gated yards made for great privacy. Away from the tourist filled Tamarindo but easily accessible if desired by $2 boat ride across Tamarindo Estuary 1/2 mi beach walk fr house. We highly recommend the services that house mgr Shawna offered us. She had our large grocery list filled and waiting when we arrived. We bought liquor at the Liberia duty free shop. But we were so happy with the drinks and fish at Cafe Mar Azul (almost next door), we often went there! We left with 2 loaves of their banana bread for a very early breakfast and airplane food! Excellent idea! This house was such a wonderful home for our trip! No regrets! We used the pool and ocean beach both equally! And beach umbrellas can be rented at surf shop near the little grocery store. We didn’t but will on our next trip😎 Many thanks go to the owner Scott, for an excellent team of local people and a home well kept for us to enjoy!

Beautiful house that lives up to the website pictures. Super well equipped so didn't have to buy a thing other than consumables. Short walk to the beach (100m). Gorgeous beach for walking. Car is mandatory. Multiple great restaurants and groceries within 30 min drive. Some closer options for small purchases. Road to the house is pothole city. Be prepared. Property manager Shawna is wonderful and easy to access. Only minor suggestion would be to label the keys. After 9 days I was still struggling with which one was which. Astonishing value. One room at the nearby Westin cost more per night than this entire 5 bedroom house. We were there at the end of rainy season (October). Maybe 20 minutes of rain a day mostly in the evening. Don't hesitate to book this.

Our family had an amazing time staying at Casa Amigos. We have been traveling to Playa Grande for the past twenty years and this was our first time staying in the Palm Beach Estate area. Ownership and property management (Shawna) were very communicative from the time we booked all the way through the time we got back to Texas to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The house was perfect proximity to the beach which was super helpful for checking out surf conditions each morning and afternoon. The house had plenty of gaming options to keep the family and kids entertained during downtime. The rooms were clean and there was enough space throughout to remain comfortable the entire time. Shawna was incredibly helpful with last minute arrangements. Overall it was a great trip and great stay. Highly recommended!

Case de Amigos served as an amazing home base for our family vacation in the Guanacaste region. The house is beautiful and clean with a wonderful back patio for dinner, pool, and generally relaxing. Access to the beach is super convenient and the beach is pristine. The property manager was great She took care of everything from stocking us with groceries, booking expeditions and giving us local recommendations. We can’t wait to go back!

The name of the house was the hint from the beginning. What a wonderful place to get together with long time friends that don't get to see each other often. The property was well equipped with everything you need to enjoy the beautiful beach, playa grande, that was just a 2min walk across the street. Palm beach estates had a resort feel with the privacy of your own home . The small restaurants within walking distance where amazing. .the food was fresh and amazing especially cafe azul mar. Shawna the house manager was readily available to assist or answer questions. Just be prepared for a dirt road with some pot holes to drive in but our small suv was perfect. We hope to be back soon.

We stayed had a wonderful experience at Casa Amigos! Location to the beach was perfect! Restaurants walking distance and the. House manager, Shawna was SO helpful! We asked where we could buy local fresh fish and she sent a guy straight to the house with his catch!! Massages at the house we great and affordable! Tatiana came and cooked Arroz Con Pollo and it was the best meal we had! House was perfect for a larger group! Small market within walking distance was helpful! Shawna stocked our fridge before we arrived which was amazing! We tried to rent a van but found out there were additional insurances that needed to be purchased so last min decided not to and Shawna arranged transportation for us as needed. Tamarindo was a 20 min walk with a short boat ride if you wanted to go into town. Otherwise, we just stayed around the perfect pool and beach!! Highly recommend and we would definitely come again!

Casa de Amigas was a truly wonderful vacation home! We were a larger party and felt we had ample space. We cooked quite a bit and loved the kitchen. All of the beds were very comfortable. The pool area and palapa was Fabulous! The location was amazing. Palm Beach Estates was a lovely little neighborhood. The coffee shops and restaurants were great. We even took an estuary tour from the neighborhood. The Beach was beautiful. I have never seen so many sea shells and our party surfed every day! My only complaint is we needed more time! We will be back!

Don’t miss this house. It lives really well with a large air conditioned great room that extends to a backyard that is very private and secure. The location is one of the very best in the community. The beach is a very short walk directly in front of the house. It’s clean and has everything you’ll want. The upstairs bedroom was perfect for the the older teenagers that wanted to sleep in. All the other rooms are downstairs and good size. We would definitely stay here again.

I would recommend this property to others. The pool area was beautiful and we spent a lot of time there. We also had some highly competitive ping pong tournaments going on! The beach path is right across the street. We had no issues with anything in the house. Shawna, the property manager, was incredibly friendly and helpful.

I cannot give enough stars to this home! 5+++++. The house was in a great location. We loved walking out our front door and down a short path to a beautiful and very quiet beach. And out the back sliders doors into another oasis with lots of shade, sun and swimming options. The owners of this home thought of everything. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We loved having private bathrooms off of each of the five bedrooms. Great layout! Shawna was amazing. She helped us plan activities- best masseuse and chef came to visit us! She helped arrange excursions and helped us with umbrellas for the beach as the sun was strong. If possible, the pictures don't do this place justice. You will not be disappointed! The neighborhood was also great-- safe, private and with enough amenities to make it easy to stay local for days at a time. We visited Cafe Azul a LOT and it was just two doors down. We also walked to the end of the beach and took a ferry to Tamarindo to check out the stores and restaurants. Everyone in our group from teenagers to grandparents loved this home. We will definitely be back again!
