Properly was as advertised. Good value. Was there for business and beach time when i could. Was a good alternative to expensive hotel rates. Would consider staying there again.

We were in town for a concert at the Stone Pony. Everything in town (and across the bridge) is very walkable. The beach is gorgeous. The house has plenty of beach chairs. There are many very old structures in town. This is a house that was built many years ago and things are a little small/tight. But it was perfect for our weekend get away.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The beach is only a short walk away, as is Asbury park with dozens of restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and very clean. The apartment was stocked with the necessities and paper goods. I would definitely stay here again.

It was small but perfect little place to enjoy Ocean Grove.

Good location for beach and Asbury Park restaurants. Great bath and beach towels and new beach chairs. Spent a lot of time on porch. But the condition of the property was disappointing. Also, basics such as bath soap, garbage bags and condiments were missing.

All reviews we read regarding this place were extremely positive but not exactly accurate.
We arrived at the rental and found the keys easily. We entered the rental to find that the place was clean and tidy but extremely dated. The windows need replacing desperately and it would have been nice if the owners would have left a check in/out sheet of paper with all the details on it. Instead we needed to hunt for everything. Also, we arrived back from our first night out and we could not open the front access door with the key. The owner was contacted and she had her longtime renter open the door for us...mind you it was midnight. the lock needs to be replaced. We never again trusted the front door and accessed this apartment from the kitchen. In most VRBO's I have stayed at there were some coffees and tea bags as a nice amenity. Not here. All in all, we were disappointed in the place for the money they charged.

Apartment was small, but clean, comfortable and had everything needed for a long weekend. Just blocks from Main street with
shopping , dining spots and Day's ice cream !!! The homes in Ocean Grove are unique and the properties are well taken care of. Melissa was a great host and I look forward to returning next year !

This is my second year, you can see my review from August 2020. The place is perfect for a nice get away to NJ shore. I believe it will become my annual tradition.

Great weekend at the beach
Perfect beach cottage stay for a couple. Reasonably priced, Walkable to everything and very clean. Host was also very responsive.

Wonderful time!
We enjoyed our stay at Mt. Tabor cottage! This is a great option if you're looking for an affordable, no-frills stay for a small group. It was a great size for myself and my 2 daughters. We especially loved that everything was within walking distance (beach, Day's ice cream shop, several dining options). We look forward to returning sometime! The host was very quick about answering questions.

I do recommend a new pull out bed in the living room and a new sofa. Both seem dated. Other than just a few furniture and aesthetic updates it’s a nice place with a great location

Cottage for Beach lovers
The size is great for two, or anyone with two or less children. Could have three adults. It had all the necessary things to cook with. Short walks to Asbury for dinning. Cookman Ave is like restaurant road at the shore. Walking to the beach was great after a year of COVID non exercise . Every where in town is within walking distance to restaurants, church . Parking a little challenging, but once you park no need to drive around. Melissa is ready to answers any questions. Expect to return again.

I highly recommend this rental for a lovely stay in Ocean Grove. Melissa was a wonderful host. The apartment was spotlessly clean, well stocked with pretty much whatever we needed in terms of amenities, and was comfortable.
The property is very close to the best parts of Asbury Park, which was so convenient to walk to rather than struggling to try to find parking. There is a spot on the back deck to store bicycles too. We had three bikes and they fit nicely.
Melissa and her family are kind, gracious and made our stay quite comfortable. They responded quickly to whatever questions we had too. We really enjoyed our stay in Ocean Grove and I highly recommend this rental. It was a great choice for us.

Amazing location!
Spent a lovely weekend there with husband and two kids- perfect for 2 people and totally doable for 4. (We had originally planned for just the two of us). Fast communication with owners. Would stay there again!

This place was really the best, it ticked all our boxes, like being clean and sanitary, being just a few blocks from the beach(definitely within walking distance)and being on the ground floor...but what made it really special was how amazing our host was!

Great little property for a big getaway
This is a great property, located in a quiet area that gives easy access to both the beach and restaurants of Asbury Park (such as they are!)
The apartment is completely as advertised, and perfectly sized for a couple looking to get out of town for a trip to the beach. Melissa (along with David and Jacob) were spectacular hosts, with easy communications, and super-friendly/helpful with recommendations and infromation about the area.
The property was very clean, and came loaded with plenty of items that aren't always found in other places that make life easy (kitchen was fully-stocked with utensils; the grill is clean and easy to use; hand soap in the bathroom...just the "little things" that are easy to neglect).
Thank you, Melissa, David, and Jacob for such a great week! We'll look forward to staying with you again soon!
