What a beautiful spot. Met up for a fishing trip with my bible study group. Highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed seating for all, games, tv, fully equipped (although small) kitchen. The property does have 30 acres, but it is on a residential street, with other homes nearby. Lots of rules posted!

The house seemed exactly how it was listed. It was very cute it had everything you needed. I would definitely stay there again and I would love to stay there in the summertime with the pond.

We really enjoyed our stay for a weekend of winter fun in the mountains. The house was great, well stocked, and warm!

The house is cozy and secluded, which is a great place for a get away from the frenzy of everyday life. It is a great place for outdoors folks, and seemed to be a great winter destination . For the summer, however, it is secluded and in an area with nothing much to do.

Everything was nice and clean. Perfect for our little getaway. We couldn’t figure out the tv but it didn’t really matter to us.

We had a lovely week at Alden's Acres. The house is perfectly sized for a family and has great amenities - new dishwasher, all the pots and pans you could need, etc. The master bedroom has a half bath; there is another bedroom and a kids' bedroom with two bunk beds. There are many games, tapes, and DVDs on the property. The pond is a short walk from the house and has fish and lizards, although it is a little too small for a boat. The walk to the pond has a great view of the mountains; the house itself doesn't have much of a view, but it is quiet. Nice location a few minutes from Salamanca and Ellicottville and the Allegany State Park. There is no air conditioning although we did not have trouble in early August. The only negative reaction I had about the experience was the list of pre-check in requirements, which are long, specific, and prescriptive. In addition to the pet fee, your pet cannot go in the bedrooms or on any of the furniture. I understand that this is probably the result of bad experience with past guests, but overall it did not feel "pet friendly" and we worried the entire time. If you are traveling with your pet, know before you book.

This property is a quaint, cozy little home. The pictures online are deceiving. The home is much smaller then anticipated. The home is well kept, except for chipping paint on a wall in the master bedroom and a horrible musty smell throughout the whole house. We had to keep every window open when we were able to. The property is beautiful. You can tell the owners are in the process of renovating to improve this home. Not sure I would stay again, just because of that smell, but my family enjoyed ourselves and we had a fun weekend in the woods! We visited Allegheny State Park, which was only a short 15 min drive. We also visited Ellicottville which is just about 20 mins away. The location of this home was just what we were looking for. The house is well stocked with everything you would need.

The house itself could have used a good cleaning. The ad was misleading as the pond is not visible from the house and quite a distance away. We were walking in four to six inches of mud everywhere on the property as there is no pavement or gravel. We had brought our dog so he basically had to have a bath every time he came in. Our son and his family moved up to that area and we were hoping this would be a regular rental for us when we visit but we will never go back!!.

It had everything in the house we needed for our ski weekend.

Great house! Close to the slopes! House was exactly what we needed to relax in after a busy day on the slopes. Had all the amenities you would need and all the beds were very comfortable, which is very important if you ski for 3 days in a row!!! Would definitely rent again for another ski weekend!

Overall we had a great time. Lots of laughs and fun. We were a bit disappointed that there was only like 4 pieces of firewood which was suppose to be included in rental and only 2 rolls of toilet paper. However, it was clean and comfy for our mom getaway.

Very nice, clean rental. It was cold and rainy the weekend we went but we made the most of it. Property is very peaceful and the house had everything we need. The only criticism I have is due to the rain we had ample time to watch tv but the channel selection was scarce.

Family of 5. With three bedrooms and two baths on the one level we had lots of room inside and lots to explore outside on walks with the dog. Kids loved the golf video game and we had lots of movies to pick from. Never found the shuffleboard but had lots to entertain us and was close enough to Holiday Valley to go back and forth. Garage came in handy with the amount of snow we got and was very relieved to see someone come in to plow the driveway! Nancy was quick to respond to our inquiries and very helpful.

Overall my experience at Alden Acres was wonderful - I stayed here with 8 of my closest friends and family members for fall festival weekend. It is about a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Ellicottville. The house is located on several acres of land (30 I believe) and has a pond about 100 yards away. The grounds were gorgeous, as we stayed here during peak fall foliage. Nancy was incredibly responsive to any requests and was able to effectively resolve any issues we came across. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a weekend get-away with friends! Thanks again!

The landlords were extremely easy to contact and respond quickly! The house has everything you need for a getaway and is only a short 12 minute drive away from Holiday Valley. The board games and Golden Tee were a hit for our group, and it has more than enough room to fit 10 comfortably. Highly recommend!

We visited this home for a family thanksgiving. The property is very serene and peaceful with beautiful views. The house contained everything we needed or wanted and is a short drive from Allegheny State Park as well as Ellicotville. The owners were very accommodating. I would recommend this home to anyone wanting a quiet getaway.

Have gone the past two years with my best friends. There is plenty of room for everyone and makes us all feel very comfortable. It is so close to the casino, skiing, shopping and restaurants. The nature hikes are an added plus. The owners always have the property ready for our arrival and are very nice. I would recommend this property for anytime of the year. You will never be bored.

Our second pre-holiday visit to Ellicottville was as accommodating and enjoyable as the first the year before! The house offers up the perfect balance of a peaceful- private wooded setting , with the bonus of being just a short drive from the perfectly quaint town center! So, for anything from a ski weekend to a romantic weekend away to a girls pre-holiday weekend together, I would highly recommend this location as a potentially perfect getaway spot!

Loved, loved, loved my stay!!!! Felt like I was home away from home! Have gone the past two years and plan on going a third and fourth if not more! So many activities to choose from all close by! Favorite being hiking on the property! All amenities provided for comfort and convenience. Owners wonderful to work with and Nancy made sure our stay was nothing but the same.

Nice house, nicely decorated, well stocked kitchen, big decks, beautiful view, beautiful pond, wonderful hiking about the property. Loved Ellicottville, great restaurants, shops, even went to a spa, Anew Beginnings, wonderful. Loved the Jazz Festival and A Taste of Ellicottville...Onofest at the Onoville Marina, beautiful Kinzua, Allegany State Park, Amish country. Relaxing and refreshing visit in this beautiful bucolic region.
