Had a great week again staying at this property. I think this is the 5th year my family has stayed at the property and every year we’re pleased with the changes made to the house. We absolutely love our stays in Bethany and plan to book again next year.

The house is adorable, clean, updated and on a large canal. The porch is quiet and relaxing and the upstairs deck was enjoyed by all. Loved the location. Owner was so friendly and helpful. Truly a slice of heaven

The Wagner’s home is a peaceful sanctuary and we can’t wait to return for more family fun and relaxation. This home is cozy, quiet and full of charm nestled in an adorable neighborhood close to the beach and bayside. We are grateful for our Thanksgiving getaway here at this little gem. Talk about much needed R & R and we will be back before we know it!

Fantastic vacation rental! Easy driving distance to the beach and in a very quiet neighborhood. The canal system is really cool to see and the house is close to everything. Will be back!

Late September, very quiet on the canal and beach. Very nice house and host and well stocked for guests. A 10 min hike to beach, but we mostly drove and walked the many local trails. Many takeout places close by. A lovely relaxing vacation from work!

This property has all the basics covered, but all the extras too! The puzzles, games, and books were great. The kitchen is well stocked. Lots of seating is available. The layout of the house is great. And the owner is super kind.

My brother and cousins just rented this house for a quick Thursday to Sunday golf weekend. Great house, with everything we needed. Working with Mary was a breeze, and we look forward to renting this again next year. Thanks!!

The place is great. And communication with owners was perfect. We all wanted to go home and demolish our bathrooms, and copy the two in this house. So clean and fresh. So many different places to sit and relax. Thank you for a great birthday weekend.

This house is in a great, quiet neighborhood, walkable to beach. The house is comfortable and well kept. The porches are great and I have to say the water pressure is spectacular.

Lovely quaint property within biking distance to the beach. Communication with owner was wonderful. Disagree with an extra cleaning fee that was charged at weeks end- property was left in very clean condition. We cleaned even more than what was requested in the paperwork. Would take pictures next time and request pictures of what required “extra cleaning time.” Disappointing way to end and overall nice vacation

Love this Beach house! Away from the crowds but a short bike ride to the beach. Great updates, but my favorite is still the screened in porch. So peaceful. Perfect for relaxing with a good book.

This is a wonderful house on the canal in a s very quiet neighborhood. It is close enough to walk to the beach but we drove since Mary Ann left parking tags for the renters, which was extremely nice. The kitchen was well stocked and we used the grill too. We brought our paddle boards to use on the canal. Great location and we definitely would rent here again! Thanks for a lovely stay, Mary Ann.

We had a wonderful time in South Bethany. Love this location with the canal out back & the beach just a few blocks away. Loved the outside shower after coming from the beach.

Such a cute house! The third bedroom is small, that's about the only thing guests need to be aware of. Everything else was great. We really liked the location--it's not super close to the beach, but that allows a measure of privacy that the beach-side houses don't have. Too, because it's far from route 1, I felt comfortable letting the dog roam a bit. Nobody seemed to mind. We did have to get into the car whenever we wanted to go to the store, however.

We've stayed in a few houses in Bethany and this one was our favorite. Very comfortable, and the renovated bathrooms are beautiful. Would absolutely stay here again.

My family and I loved this house. The neighborhood was fantastic and quiet. Nice area to walk the dog. Beach is walkable. Close to restaurants as well. Being on the canal was fun as well. Great screened in porch and sun porch as well. Great water pressure! The bathrooms were beautiful and the beds comfortable. We would most definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Mary Ann’s South Bethany home. We were six adults and were very comfortable. We loved the short walk to the beach and being on the canals. The updates they have been doing to the home are high quality and the place was well stocked and clean when we arrived. The third bedroom is a little small, but an easy trade off for staying in South Bethany where the beaches were notably quieter and less crowded than its neighbors. I’d stay here again!

Love staying at this property. This has been our 4th year and when we arrived we loved the new look of the house. Loved all the changes and updates made. Already booked the property for Summer 2021.

My family including my husband and our two kids visited this house in June 2020. We had such a great time. The location is perfect - right on the canal and .4 mi to the beach. The house comes with resident beach parking so we ended up driving and parked right next to the beach entrance. The house is great. They are renovating it room by room with updated finishes. You will not find something in this area with this price tag. We hope to go back again.

Wonderful time with family at the Wagner’s! The cottage was clean, beds were comfy and the outside shower was great!! Screened in porch we’re we spent most of our time was really nice along with the shady spot on canal. Grans had a great time crabbing. Had my kayak and loved exploring the canals and back bay. Hope we can stay next year, looking forward to the updates the have in store for the fall.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in South Bethany Harbor. Great neighborhood, wonderful setting on a canal, very comfortable, lovely beach cottage. Property owner responds quickly to any questions/problems. Close to beach, restaurants, and boardwalk in Bethany.

We had a lovely time at the Canal Beach House. Once we figured it out the code locking system meant that we could be on our way without anyone worrying about being locked out. My daughter and her family had rented kayaks that were delivered the day they requested them and picked up the morning we left. They launched into the Canal behind the house and off to explore the bay . There is a second floor sun deck off the two up stairs bedrooms. Perfect for less energetic enjoyment. And books and puzzles for rainy days The house is well supplied with cooking and serving utensils. And many condiments and storage items. There are two supermarkets within a short drive and a deli about six block walk or bike ride. The sheets and towels were nice quality the beds were very comfortable. The whole house is clean and cleaned between rentals I would whole heartedly recommend this house and owner So we grilled several nights on the back deck and ate in the screened porch. Dinners out we made reservations with no problems Bethany describes itself as the quiet resort and compared to Dewey or Rehoboth or Ocean City it is. It has multiple small malls with Lenny of shopping options. And a charming small boardwalk area with beach acces and toilet facilities but no changing facilities. We used the Beach just across Route 1. From the section where the Canal house is located

This is the third year we’ve stayed in this house. When we arrived we noticed multiple upgrades to the house. We love the location of the house and the experience renting this house is great. Owner is very responsive and great to deal with. Will definitely return!

The house is wonderful, clean and well stocked. My family of 5 enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and canal out back. We ate several times on the screened in porch and enjoyed a jigsaw puzzle when it rained. We rented bikes for the week and were able to bike to the beach in about 5 minutes. Parking was not a problem and we appreciated the washer and dryer. The town of Bethany offered a quaint quality and we ventured to Rehoboth for a Sunday night concert at the bandstand.

We had a great Easter visit. Cottage well maintained and within walking distance of the beach. Looking forward to our staying there again.

We loved this home and would definitely recommend it. The home is not sparkly new, but it's very comfortable, in a great location, and well-stocked. Our 2 families of 4 adults and 5 kids age 8 and under stayed here and had a fantastic time! Amenities are abundant! The kitchen had many basic cooking items available, including spices, oil, and sugar during our visit. We bought a couple kids fishing poles for the canal and caught some small fish and crabs. We rented kayaks and traversed the canals and the bay. We walked, biked, and scootered to the beach. (our bikes). An adult drove the car over each day with all of our beach stuff. The 2 included parking passes were great. You can park very close if you want to drive. The shed had some boogie boards, a skim board and chairs to borrow. The home is colorful and comfortable, offering large upstairs bedrooms, a screened-in porch, and a couple dining areas. Upstairs bedrooms have beds for 4 people in each room. We even blew up an air mattress and had room for it!) Upstairs bath is updated. Downstairs is older but fine. The cozy sunroom with books was the favorite for the adults. We played with several of the games in house like Monopoly and Trivia Pursuit. The outdoor hose and shower were helpful. A shade was broken, but it was fixed the next day. We only had 1 key for the home. A 2nd would have been nice.
