Overall we had a good stay few things let down were more fridge space the oven door was broken the vege garden wasn’t up kept and the beds downstairs could be updated.

Great place to spend time as a group catching up. It had very spacious communal areas and a huge kitchen with all the needed tools and serving equipment.

We had such a great time staying at the Blodge! The host is very friendly, the house is massive and very well kitted out, perfect for larger groups. There is a pizza oven which was a huge plus! It gets a lovely sunset, and is such a calming place to unwind. We would love to come back here - we all had the best time!

We were a large family group (15 ranging from 9 months to 87 years) for 3 nights and the place didn't live up to our needs, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless - the view, the pizza oven, and the spacious lounge were a hit, as others have said. The errors - well the dishwasher had broken down and there was no dishwashing liquid, no gas in the BBQ, no fire guard for the crawling baby, not nearly enough toilet paper and only enough room for 10 around the dining room table at a stretch, even with some perched-on stools. We had a lot of single young adults in our group and there weren't enough spare mattresses and private space on the floors (they were definitely not wanting to sleep with parents!) On the mezzanine floor we squeezed in 2 next to the leaking door through the downpour and fortunately they didn't get wet! The fridge, freezer and pantry were quite full of the owner's food so difficult to find room and remember which was ours. We were kindly allowed to bring our dog and the owner left their dog, who was not supposed to come into the house or follow us on our walks.... like I said a comedy of errors, but a comedy, not a tragedy!

The Blodge is an impressive and unique residence in a peaceful setting with rural views. We loved the main living area, it is very spacious, comfortable and can cater for a large group of people. It was well equipped with all the required cooking equipment etc. There is plenty of room for young children to play outside. There were a few minor issues which I think could have improved our stay such as a more professional, welcoming, and up to date information folder which would have been great - and the night lighting was a bit dim. Overall I think anyone looking for spacious relaxed quiet accommodation that lends itself particularly to a larger group, would be very happy staying at the Blodge

Lovely and comfortable house for a big group or family
We really enjoyed our stay. We were a big group and the place was still big enough for all of us. Nice and clean. Modern and quirky. Lovely deco all around the house. Everything was great but if we had to add anything to it would be an extra fridge and probably another toilet would be great (there’s only one downstairs for 4 bedrooms) there’s enough showers but another toilet would be very useful. The outside was also lovely. Kids enjoyed running around, feeding the chickens and jumping on the trampoline. There’s lots of games and toys inside as well. Well equipped for family and/or friends. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Wonderful getaway
My friends and I were all very impressed with this place. It was well stocked with amenities and very clean. It was so much bigger than we expected which meant our large group had lots of space and everyone had a bed to sleep on. The drive to get into town and to the beach wasn't long at all. This is a great place if you're wanting a getaway in nature!

Great Place
Had a fantastic time here, the fire is brilliant for the middle of winter. Massive space that is gorgeous. We had 16 people stay here who all loved it. Was cosy, spacious and not too far from Raglan town. Lots of utensils and the pizza oven is great!

Funky pad great for large groups
House was even better than in the photos, great set up for large groups with lots of space and a range of bedding options. Most of the beds were comfy, a second fridge would of been good, some of the items in the house required repair such as the broken oven door handle, and broken bar stools, but overall would highly recommend. Perfect for kids of all ages as well as adults.

Just stunning and relaxing
We came to the blodge with 3 other family friends and everyone loved it so much. The house is unusual but so confortable and done with great taste, the kids loved it too and cherry on the cake... the view! Also just a very short drive to Raglan town which was perfect. Thx so much for letting us having your house for this great week end.

Great character bach
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the bach, it has a great character and an enormous amount of space. The living room has a nice setup and the wood burner makes it really cozy. The outside area and the views are marvellous as well. However, if I would nitpick I'd say that provided fridge is very small for groups of 10+, as well as not having doors for most of the rooms in the house proved somewhat challenging for our friends with kids, although it certainly adds to the overall character of the place. Lastly, instructions for rubbish disposal were confusing, we ended up taking rubbish home as it seemed to be the easiest option.

Amazing Blodge!
Our group had an amazing time at the Blodge this weekend! We had a group of 14 adults and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time there! The overall process to book, and communicate and then check in was easy and the whole place was clean and tidy when we arrived. The location was fabulous, and as a group we will definitely come back! Great spot for a weekend
Awesome spot overlooking Mt Karioi and out to the ocean. Well set up house, very cool to have a pizza oven to be able to use. No issues at all. Would definitely recommend to a larger group!! Thanks!!!

Big Barn Warm Heart.
We needed a place with enough room for family from Northland, Manawatu and the Bay of Plenty to meet up and spend and relaxed time together for a few days.
The Blodge was perfect. A crafted, interesting building with great spaces inside and a woodburner to keep everything warm despite the cold winter weather outside.

Perfect property to base yourself for a visit to Raglan, the views and surroundings are great, easy to drive to activities from, and lovely spaces in the house to relax in. Great comms throughout the booking process too. Would definitely recommend this place for a weekend away for a larger group.

Raglan Long-weekend
Fantastic spot, 5mins from Raglan township with plenty of space for our three families with kids aged 6-11.
We loved using the pizza oven, playing cricket out the back, dining outside with magnificent views across farmland to the harbour and the myriad of cool activities suggested by our hosts on the blackboard which made us feel like Raglan insiders.
