This is an absolutely terrific studio apartment. It’s clean, comfy, well-equipped, beautifully designed, and has a lovely view directly on to a canal and canal boats, is walking distance to the Île des Machines, which was our major destination (albeit, it’s a long walk!). The host was very helpful and responsive. We’d stay here again, without question. Huge bonus was the fact that the apartment was on the third floor and there’s an elevator.

There was only one problem that marred our overnight stay, and it wasn’t within the host’s control. We were there on a Saturday night in August, and had the misfortune to end up there on a night in which drunken partiers were yelling and screaming at each other directly in front of the building until the wee hours of the morning. I got almost zero sleep, but my wife slept through it all. Then around 4 am a single flute player started up playing soft, sweet music, and my wife woke up to that!

Great location and great view of the waterway. It is small but has everything you need. It is newly remodeled, so feels very fresh and stylish. There are two drawbacks. 1.)Because it was no air conditioning, we left the sliding door to the balcony open during the night for cool air. But the bars along the river are noisy, and the streetcar is noisy in the morning. 2.) The bed is OK, but the pillows are not adequate. Needs better, softer, thicker pillows.
