Lovely house with great biking and walking, in a friendly, safe and quiet area. Property management group was responsive and easy to access. One of the best properties I've stayed in, and I've rented from VRBO for >20y.

The house was spacious and cozy. Great location near town plus lots to do in the area. Fantastic view from the deck and living areas. Prompt communication with the rental company. Overall an excellent experience!

VERY misleading listing. Home has an elevator that is not available to renters. This important fact is not stated in the listing and MUST be stated in the listing. Gas grill shown on deck in primary photo on listing is NOT on deck. It is actually down 10 stairs from deck. This made the grill unusable for my family. This is a critical misrepresentation in the listing. Listing states home is walking distance from town. NOT TRUE. Town of Payson is at least one and a half miles from home. Another critical misrepresentation. Main bath shower, although spacious is in need of a couple of grab bars. Shower floor is extremely slippery, mandating grab bars. The home has stairs. That is apparent from the listing, so, no complaint. However, access to the home is in the rear, requiring climbing many steps which have no hand railings and are of varying size and shapes. UNSAFE!

This home is great for families and groups! Upgraded, clean and spacious. We enjoyed making meals in the well-stocked kitchen and hanging out by the fireplace and on the deck. Just minutes from the lake and community pickle ball courts. We had a fabulous time.

Overall lovely home. View from the patio is gorgeous, just know that it's off the front porch, facing neighbors and not a secluded back yard area. Quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to a beautiful park.

Our granddaughters enjoyed the deck for play and stargazing with the grownups. Green Valley Park was nearby and good for walks. The downstairs bedroom would be more useable if a bathroom were nearby. But the manager warned us. That bedroom did have a desk, so it became a quiet office for the remote worker in our group. We’d stay again.

Everything was as described. We had a great time and really enjoyed the property.

This home was beautiful, clean and well stocked. We had no complaints and would stay here again in the future. It was unusually warm during out trip and the AC kept it nice and cool in the home. Comfortable beds, good sized kitchen and large bedrooms.

I’m definitely bringing the kids back here! I absolutely loved staying here. We were able to have down time, comfortably (it was me and 4 kids). The house is also STOCKED with anything you might need. It’s close to lakes and hiking, and grocery stores. We stayed for 5 days and really didn’t want to leave.

The house was everything we could have hoped for! Location, cleanliness, the view, to name a few. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The master bed was very comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. It was nice to have a garage to park in. Would definitely rent again!

Overall, this was a perfect home for our stay in Payson. It comfortably slept 2 families and the amenities were top notch. Management was great and quick to resolve a minor issue with a coffee machine by dropping off a new one within minutes of notification. This is definitely a property we will look to rent again in the future.

Nice place. Clean and quiet

Home is beautiful and the view from the porch was incredible. Great home for the family to cook and enjoy time together. Neighborhood was very quiet and the ponds downs the street were adorable. Same with the park too!

We LOVED our stay! We cooked a lot and the place was perfect. The patio was amazing! The view and doors to access the patio was awesome! Would def stay here again!

My family enjoyed 4 nights in this exceptionally clean home. Terrific views from the large deck, comfortable beds, and quiet neighborhood.

Everything about this property was amazing. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to make a holiday dinner. The only item I couldn't find was a cooking thermometer. I would love to stay here again when I visit Payson!

The house was pretty amazing. Really clean and lots of great amenities. This was one of the best VRBO's I've stayed in. You know how sometimes the pictures on the site look way better than the actual house. Well, this was the opposite. The pictures already looked great, but the house IRL is so much better. The beds were large and comfy, The bathrooms were clean and full of towels. The balcony was my favorite part of the house, a great place to wake up and watch the sunrise while sipping your morning coffee.

This house was beautiful, clean and had a gorgeous view. It had everything we needed, we even found baby shampoo and a bag of dinosaurs for my 3 year old. The AC works great. The beds were comfy. They had plenty of throw blankets and had extra supplies. The location next to Main Street, the lake and the rodeo grounds is perfect!

No issues, all was well, clean and as advertised with the exception of the couches, they have different smaller couches and a leather recliner now instead of what it pictured. They were still fine, just not the reclining theater type couches we were expecting. (we spent a lot of time relaxing watching movies). Very quiet neighborhood off the beaten path, would stay here again.

Beautiful home, just as VRBO photos suggest, in the prettiest part of Payson. The showstopper is the deck, which offers 180 degree views of the Mogollon Rim, and other distant mountains. The home was clean, and well stocked. Easy walk down to the lakes, and museum.

Our group really enjoyed their stay. The beds were comfortable. Having 1 bathroom outside the master bedroom was not great but a small thing to overlook. The place was super clean which is great for someone with OCD. One thing I didn't like was getting text while I'm golfing that a storm was coming through and it was my responsibility to anchor down outside furniture. Considering I had spent 5 minutes at the house and then gone golfing when we arrived on Friday, I didn't understand why it was my responsibility to anchor items they have outside and that we haven't touched.

Whispering Elk Lodge was the perfect vacation rental for our family which consisted of 5 adults and 1 child. It's a beautiful home with many wonderful amenities. We had everything we needed and more at our disposal. The property was very clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed many nights on the patio watching sunsets, sunrises and playing games. The living room fireplace kept us toasty and warm. The bedding was nice with comfortable beds in all bedrooms. The location is also perfect, close to town, a short walk or drive to Green Valley Park, antique stores and Main Street. We had a successful couple of days for trout fishing at the park and the house is equipped with fishing gear if you don't have your own. There are also bikes available for renters to use. The property managers were very responsive and respected our privacy. We all had a terrific time and look forward to visiting again soon.

Our stay was perfect!! Everything was super clean and the view was amazing! The description was super accurate. We will 100% stay here again if we get the chance! The ONLY thing bad I have to say is there is a dog next door that barks 24/7 so if you are going to be spending a lot of time there I would definitely say something. We didn’t spend a ton of time there so it wasn’t a big deal for us. Just a little annoying while we were there. Haha!
