We had a fantastic vacation in the Finger Lakes, and our stay at Casa Carmela was certainly a highlight. The view is amazing looking out over Owasco Lake and we enjoyed the use of the kayaks and boat. The house is in a great location to access western NY, the other Finger Lakes, and Syracuse. Wish we could have taken advantage of the ice cream and mini-golf up the hill, but maybe we'll be back in the summer months!

Lovely spot on Owasco Lake. A wonderful and family friendly home to catch a beautiful sunset! The pictures don't do this property justice. A truly lovely location close to Auburn. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with.

We loved the incredible views of the lake from so many rooms and the size of the house. It was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed and was exactly as described. Riccardo was very helpful and easy to contact if we needed anything.

We rented a house so that we could visit with my mom from Arizona, my children all local to Auburn, and my husband and I from Tennessee. We were able to celebrate Christmas as a unit for the first time in 21 years! The house was perfect for us and we really enjoyed the gorgeous views of the lake. We had an amazing Christmas gathering!!

This home is so special! Rick is an amazing host who goes above and beyond for his guests. The house was clean, large, and has an incredible view of the lake. We stayed here during our wedding weekend and the property is so beautiful, we ended up taking some professional photos here. This will be the first of many stays!

I spent a long weekend here with my husband and another couple when in town for a wedding in Auburn. The house was spotless and the views of the lake were amazing. The owner was very responsive and made sure we were happy and didn’t need anything. The house has code access which made everything so easy. No need to pick anything up or drop anything off. The house was comfortable and updated and clean. The beds were also very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful view and nice property .. very serene but within 15 minutes of parks, restaurants. There are kayaks and a rowboat for those who want to get out on the lake.

This property and setting were beautiful. We were in town for a wedding and wanted to experience the area more than a hotel. The property host could not have been more accommodating and the area offers lots to do from shopping/ dining on the lake in nearby Skineatles to meandering along the cayuga wine trail. We can’t wait to come back! Would highly recommend this property .

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Carmela. Beautiful home and excellent host. Our children absolutely loved the kayaks as well as walking to Tom Thumb for mini golf and delicious ice cream. We hope to return soon to this slice of lake heaven.

We really enjoyed our stay at Riccardo's lake house. We enjoyed the paddleboard and kayaks and they were clean and in good condition. Fishing off the dock, slow mornings sipping coffee on the deck overlooking the lake, suppers on the patio, beautiful sunsets - all contributors to a great vacay. Riccardo was responsive and friendly.

Perfect week. Beautiful home that had everything we needed on beautiful Owasco Lake. Riccardo was a great host. He checked in to see what we needed throughout our stay. Loved the kayaks, paddle board etc. Would definitely come back.

Terrible leaky old refrigerator . Water was all over the floor, air conditioning was not installed when we came. Contacted owner to install it Once air conditioners were installed which was installed incorrectly. Loads of bugs came inside the rooms and the rooms were infested with bugs the owner did fix all the problems but this never should of happened.

Everything about our stay was beyond superb. We would come again in an instant! Location, cleanliness, amenities, and especially our host were beyond expectations!

we stayed there 10/2020 when the covid restrictions were still very much in effect. it was a fantastic getaway for my birthday. my daughter and her boyfriend used the boat and went out on the lake. they also did some hiking. my hubby and girlfriend visited the wineries and went to high end restaurants. we also used the fire pit and bbq at the house. they owner was helpful with minor house issues we had. we will be back!

Seven family members, including several from far away, came together for a week at Casa Carmela to celebrate an 80th birthday--as well as other birthdays and anniversaries--and to enjoy the Finger Lakes. The house was absolutely clean and well furnished, and the washer and dryer were most welcome. There’s a large kitchen and dining room so we could be together for meals. There’s ample space over 3 floors for people to spread out as they wish. The property is right at the edge of the lake and the views are gorgeous. The sunsets are magnificent. The owner was readily available by text for any questions, and he checked in with us several times during the week to make sure all was well. My wife and I had stayed here once 2 years previously and we’re very glad that we were able to come again for this family gathering. Thanks to the owner!

I would highly recommend this property! The house was well equipped and very comfortable. There were 4 adults and we had more than enough room to spread out. Cooked most of our meals at home and the kitchen was great. Riccardo was great to work with. Very responsive to the few questions we had. We certainly hope to return!!!

We rented this property on the lake because it was close to family and friends. The home two nice outside seating areas to enjoy the beautiful lake view. The owner was very responsive to any questions I had and checked throughout the stay to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I would recommend this property.

We had a wonderful experience with this listing and property owner. It is lovely home and the setting is gorgeous. Furthermore, there is an abundance of things to do in the area besides the lake right on the property and the ice cream shop and putter golf up the street. The water view out most windows is peaceful and relaxing. Definitely a wonderful experience and the owner was welcoming and helpful.

Our host, Riccardo, is terrific. Roomy enough for us all-six adults and two children. Clean and kept--and generous provisions. The waterfront with all the stairs can be challenge for elders or toddlers, but has a good dock for boating. A lovely setting and wonderful deck for viewing the lake and Owasco sunsets.

This is a fantastic home with beautiful outside spaces and lovely sunsets. The owner is quite responsive. Enjoyed the week very much.

Our family had a wonderful time at this lake house! The house is right on the lake with very easy access. The water was relatively shallow, which is great for little kids, and incredibly clear/clean. The house is well appointed with everything you need and plenty of space (enough for 2 kids and 2 adults who were working remotely while vacationing). The location is perfect within a short walk to Tom Thumbs for miniature golf, ice cream and beautiful sunsets! We look forward to staying here again!

Wake to the soothing sound of waves hitting gently against the shore. Enjoy breakfast on the spacious upper (or lower) deck. Plenty of seating to take in the panoramic view of the lake. Take a refreshing turn in one of the kayaks or SUP. And be sure to walk the five minutes to Tom Thumb to enjoy ice cream or a quick lunch or dinner (check hours) as well as mini-golf. The Lakehouse also serves as a convenient base to enjoy the Fingerlakes region.

During these times when travel is so restricted and socializing is limited it’s wonderful to get away. We enjoyed the lake, beautiful views from the spacious decks, hiking at Fillmore Glen and visiting Anyela Winery. Our hosts were very welcoming. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We look forward to returning some time soon!

We LOVED this house, the location and the view!! Rick was in communication and was extremely accommodating! The sunset views were spectacular and the boat, kayaks and paddle board provided were fun! The multi-level home allowed for LOTS of space for the 6 of us and was very clean and nicely updated. Can’t wait to come back!!

Our week at this Owasco Lake spot went great. Having rented at many other VRBO locations, every room in the house was exceptionally clean, welcoming and kept up. Everything was in tip top working order, The furniture was comfortable, lighting great, and plenty of space, either to join together or go off on your own. There were many little extras that added simple enjoyment for the week...additional towels for each bedroom, Cleaning items for the washer/dryer, along with plenty of other extra supplies on hand. All the appliances, lights, and furniture were working and good quality...nothing about the place seemed chintzy. The lake, itself, is beautiful, the setting uncrowded and quiet and there are a variety of opportunities to enjoy outside-comfortable outside seating In three different locations, boating options, the fire pit (Accompanied by packets of fresh wood Just waiting to be lighted). Rick was available, when needed, attentive and seemed to took his owner responsibility seriously. While the cost to rent this house isn’t inexpensive, it was worth it.

The property was as advertised. Our family of 6 had plenty of room and there was also ample parking. The house was very clean, had nice furniture, and all the linens and cooking utensils/equipment we needed. We grilled almost every night and ate outside on the deck as the sun set. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks (2) and the paddleboard. Beach and fire pit area is nice. Bring shoes to wear in the water because the beach is a little rocky. Rick was a great host. He was super accessible, the communication was great, and he was flexible with our schedule. The Tom Thumb Drive In was a big hit and thanks to our host for some free tokens! The burgers and ice cream were great and the mini-golf was a lot of fun. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and visit again. Given all the craziness of this year, our week at Owasco Lake was the perfect summer vacation. Thanks!
