Mary was a great host to our family and we felt very much at home. It was a superb base for then having adventures like Safaris. The kids loved her breakfast and it was also neat to stay in this apartment complex with locals.

Of course, it is far off from Nairobi and there is not much around in walking distance. But we knew that and with apps like "bolt" it was easy to get anywhere.

Kitchen was fully equiped and the owner was helpfull.

The homestay in Annies House is great. We had booked the room with seperate bathroom and breakfast. The whole place was very clean, the breakfast was great and we got help for the questions we had from Mary, the owner. It is located close to the airport and SGR trainstation and situated in a safe gated community.

Mary, the owner is the real friendly host. She has the talent of identifying your needs and culture very well and makes your stay home away home. I will definitely come back to this place whenever I am on transit via Nairobi. Also, the place is very quiet, nice and tidy with the decent neighborhood and 24/7 security. Recommended for a family with children as well.

Mary is very friendly and helpful! She can also cook very tasteful breakfast and dinner! The appartement is outstanding! It feels like home. Good beds, big clean bathroom, big cosy room. The location is very good! Really close to the airport (10 minutes) and the appartement is in a very safe and quiet area. Thanks for the wonderful stay Mary!

The accommodation is great, a perfect location to the airport and Mombasa Road. It is in a well protected gated community so we felt completely safe. The rooms are very clean and well furnished. Mary, the host, is super nice and gave us a very friendly welcome and looked after us very well. You should definitely have dinner at her place, the food was super fresh and very tasty. One of the best dinners on our trip. We would definitely come back again.

Mary is a very nice hostess, and the room was nice, and quiet, exactly what we needed after a long flight! It is located in a safe environment in about 10 min from the airport. Would definitely come back if we are lucky enough to visit Kenya again!

Mary was very very friendly. She received us well and explained all the important things that we needed to know. Breakfast was good and punctual, though She forgot or ignored?? my request to have sausages for breakfast. Overall I would highly recommend the place. It is in a secure gated community, and the showers were working perfectly!

The serenity, security and hospitality was unexpected. You have to kindly ask Mary to prepare you the fried sausages for breakfast. Bidets are working fine and very convenient.

Mary is an amazing host, you feel immediately home when she greets you. Despite our very late arrival, she welcomed us with a huge smile, was very relaxed with the check out and prepared a nice breakfast for us. She offered water to fill our water bottles and offered to get a cab if needed.

We were a bit puzzled when arrived as the property didn’t really match the property description. Reading the amazing reviews it might have been only our misunderstanding, but despite the description of “private apartment” “private shower” “restaurant “ “gym” etc, we had the impression of an apartment hotel, but instead we ended up in a tiny room in a little apartment in a block of flats with three other guests in another bedroom plus our otherwise absolutely adorable host, all the 8 of days us using the same bathroom. Price wise it was a good one night stay for the price we paid, but the description was quite misleading. The location is quite off, no public transport, the taxi driver had difficulty finding the place. Mary did everything possible to help him find the place though.

Mary, the owner, is a very friendly and helpful person, a very good cook (I recommend the "Spanish Omelette" for breakfast) ... well, Annelie's House is as good as it can get for Kenya. And the shower is the best I ever got for an African B&B in this price category.

a little bit of hassle getting into the residential area "Great Wall Apartments Phase 2" on Beijing road - it gets time for an European to he used to the security in Kenya. But the good thing about this hassle is, that it's safe.
