Das Haus liegt wunderbar, etwas erhöht, mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Natur und die Ruhe genossen. Ausserdem hatten wir das Glück, eine fantastische Polarlichtshow zu sehen. Vielen Dank an Kari und Jan, dass wir dieses Haus nutzen durften.

Amazing house with the most fantastic view! The house has everything someone may need during their stay! The hosts were very kind and willing to help us in whatever we needed! We hope to come back one day!

Our stay was absolutelly wonderful! We arrived at late night, saw nothern lights the same night and in the morning we could see breathtaking view on fjord just from the window. I would consider similar picture a kitch, but it was a beautiful colorful reality (although in November!). Everything was just perfect - well equiped house, superfast WiFi, big bathroom, nice dining room. We could see nothern lights almost every day, althouth it was cloudy. We didn't have a chance to meet the owner, but we didn't feel lost or alone, we have communicated over the booking chat. Happy to come back one day.

The only thing we would change was the strong light from the house on the opposite. It is a bit annoying when you watch the nothern lights, but you can go few steps aside and that is it - problém solved

Excellent property with spacious dining and living room. Cozy bedrooms with comfortable beds and blankets. Breathtaking views on all sides - snow covered mountains and a big lake. Quiet, except for the sound of seagulls!

Pricing is a little steep

The house was almost perfect. It has everything you could ever need. All necessary supplies for the kitchen, bathroom and fireplace are supplied. It was perfectly clean. The view is fantastic - we even saw beautiful northern lights from the porch. Our hosts were very friendly. We were four people, but even six can be very comfortable. If you want a quiet holiday in a beautiful landscape, this is the house for you.

Karistua is a hidden gem! The location is amazing, the hosts are amazing and the lodge is very cosy and has everything you need for the perfect stay. We went to see the northern lights and were lucky enough to see them 4 out of 6 nights.

Leaving!!

Het uitzicht (the view), the peacefulness. It was really quiet around the house. We went for a weekend staying the first 2 days in Tromso, and arriving here at Karistua on saturday. The house looks really new, and the view over the lake and mountains is amazing! We went for a walk up the mountain. You can do this by leaving the house and going down to the main road, then turn turn right for about 100-200 meters until you see a big white building on your right-hand side which is the community building (Grendehus). Here you have a path which you can follow up the mountain. Small little creeks flowing next to it. We went in winter so everything was white.

The house was perfect. This is just an advice to make it even better as there were no bad things. They can make better use of the balcony by putting a lounge set on it, because they have such a good view. Maybe they have a lounge set on the balcony in summer, but it was not there in winter, but there were a few chairs and a table, which we used. And they are fine as well! I would really recommend the house if you go for nature, the quiet, beautiful views.
