Old property with a lovely view of the river mouth. Well equipped with kitchen utensils. Would have appreciated some tea bags and coffee as a welcome gesture. The 2 nights we booked were going to be like 5 deg in the morning so would need either electric blanket to warm up bed at least or heater. One bedroom was missing the heater so contacted host. Eventually managed to find a heater in the unit below the house. Overall enjoyed our stay in Augusta

A very relaxing home to stay in. It is very well equipped and very clean. The views are so beautiful - missed the whale on this visit to Augusta. It is lovely to sit on the verandah to enjoy the surroundings. Easy access to the ocean and river.

Chaudiere is a lovely home, comfortable and clean and with all you need in the kitchen. There is a wonderful view out to the ocean from the big veranda. It was a perfect place for our group of 5 adults hiking the Cape to Cape track.

Great spot for last few days of our Cape to Cape walk. Plenty of room for a group with all amenities required. Comfortable stay.

The property was clean and very well appointed, we wanted for nothing! The beds were extremely comfortable. We will definitely be looking to come here again very soon.

We visited for my mothers 70th birthday with 10 adults and a teen. The location is perfect situated within walking distance to Flinders bay, the river mouth and the town centre. The house was so comfortable, plenty of outdoor and indoor sitting areas a spectacular view of the bay and all the amenities anyone needs in a home. If you need to book a large house in Augusta this is the place!

Stayed here a few times now. Has definitely become a favourite. House has pretty much everything you need. Well stocked with utensils etc. Lots of light with great views. Beautiful walk into town along the river, and close to beach and cafe. Will be back again for sure.

A great location and ideal house for our special weekend

We are a group of old friends, 10 in all, who are all between 70 and 80 years of age. We loved the property as it had a very nice beach feel inside however it needed a bit of maintenance on the outside. This didn’t really worry us as the inside was charming. The house had an amazing view and was in a gorgeous spot with a lovely walk to town along the river. Lovely walks to granny’s pool as well. A fabulous cafe was just around the corner. A great place to stay with plenty of room for 10. Only slight comment is that maybe the cleaners could look under the beds and move them occasionally when cleaning. None the less we loved it.

The property was great - we unfortunately only had a couple of nights, but would definitely love to come back. The house was well appointed, coped well with the weather and had super views from the deck which seated all of us comfortably. Super secret - this was the *most* comfortable mattress I've ever experienced in a holiday rental.

Great quiet location and wonderful ocean views were a highlight of our weekend stay. The property is well equipped and suited our mixed family of 9 for the weekend. The downstairs flat could have been a little cleaner and slightly modernised but the upstairs house had great functionality and an older beach house vibe! A few things weren’t cleaned such as the BBQ and some of the outdoor furniture was a little old. Beautiful walk into the main part of town and close drive to the new mariner and lighthouse. The street was very quiet and it was lovely listening to the ocean. We walked to the Colour Patch cafe for dinner which was lovely. One small thing we noticed was no fly screen in the bedrooms as we opened windows for fresh air so we had a few mosquitoes in the house over the weekend. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Chaudiere Beach House.

Great location and nice big property that can fit a few families. House is a little dated, but overall we enjoyed our stay and the location was fantastic.

Always enjoy staying in Augusta during Winter. House adequate for our needs and in great location

Overall it was very good with the following exceptions. 1. Leaves needed to blown away from carports, doors and general traffic areas. Flat entry had been done but definitely the rest hadn't been touched. 2. Double bedroom (sleepout) door tracks were full of rotting leaves, occupant started to clean them out but we told her to leave them. 3. Lastly the steps leading down to the flat were dangerous at night. Urgently needs a light at top of stairs before someone doesn't see them in the dark and falls straight down causing significant injuries.

Great location, quiet area walking distance to beach to new colour patch wine bar eatery ....which has fabulous food . Looking forward to returning .
