Always look forward to our week in Surf City and this year did not disappoint. The home was great, weather was beautiful. Everyone had a wonderful time. Hope to do it again.

This property was great for our family vacation. We had four families together and had a wonderful experience. This property is so conveniently located to everything you need and just a few steps to the beach. We will be back again! Thanks Ted!

The location of the property is great. It’s near many restaurants, coffee shops, and attractions. We still had a ton of room to ourself on the beach even though we were very close to the pier and public beach access. We would definitely stay here again. Communication with the property owner was great.

We traveled for a destination ready with family , the house was fantastic! 3 floors so everyone could have space when needed , very comfortable and clean for our family. To see the ocean right from the back deck and be able to walk down your stairs to the beach is worth everything. The location is great as we could walk just next door to get food/drinks or walk across the street for that matter, anything we needed was within walking distance. Thank You for making our stay a memorable one, we would stay again for sure !

There is no better location than this in Surf City or anywhere near. Directly on the beach, near the pier, right by the coffee shops and ice cream stores and restaurants and shops. Plenty of beds, five bedrooms, open living/dining room on the top floor, elevator to make it easy to get your bags and stuff upstairs. Plenty of parking under the house. Perfect for large gatherings or just a quiet get-away to watch the waves.

We all enjoyed the house and proximity to the beach. Caution to others that the kitchen area is really tight. Preparing for a big meal is challenging. Just a normal non-thanksgiving type meal is fine. I also suggest adding grab bars in the showers for those who have family members who need a bit more security. I also suggest not listing this as 5 bedrooms. I realize there is a disclaimer in the description but its not proximate to a bathroom do not really usable.

I don’t typically give 5 star reviews nor do I trust them, but there isn’t anything I can say negative about this place or The Waltz family. The beds sleep good, the showers have amazing pressure, and the place was clean and just like it was listed. It’s nice to stay in place that is as nice as my house. You cannot beat the location. We stayed for the week and only had to use our car twice to grab some groceries. The beach was never crowded and at night everything gets even quieter. I used to go to the Myrtle Beach area and now there is no way I could ever go back to that crowded of a beach.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The location was perfect - everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The elevator was perfect for our senior dog. Happy to say the house was one of the cleanest we have ever rented at Topsail. The kitchen was very well appointed and the luxury bedding did not disappoint! Would definitely rent this property again and would highly recommend!

For over 20 years, we have joined friends on topsail Island for an annual get together. This was the first time we were actually right near town where we could walk to everything. We had a great time! We will definitely consider this again in the future.

The house is lovely, ideal location. If you have large vehicles try to travel together only 4 will fit

Great place, located walking distance from center of Surf City. Unexpected advantage was being able to watch the surfers who take advantage of the waves near the pier.

The house was everything that we hoped for. Coming into a pay it forward house was wonderful. Smoothest elevator in a beach house was invaluable for Grandma, luggage and groceries. 3 generations enjoyed the ease of being in walking distance to nearly everything. Deck furniture and bed mattresses were STELLAR! Last, but not least, Koby the water dog got to come too! Thanks for a much longed for superb week atthe beach!!

House was comfy and nice. Had everything we needed. Ted and his wife were always so nice and accommodating. Nice to have en suite bathrooms in all the rooms.

A really nice house in a great location. No need to drive anywhere. Everything you need is within walking distance! Direct beach access, beautiful swimming pool, and awesome views.

The location of this comfortable and well appointed home simply can’t be beat. You are a minute walk away from multiple restaurants, shops, the local, grocery store, ice cream, the pier, etc. You literally don’t have to drive anywhere once you arrive for your vacation. The views of the ocean from the porches, and even from the large family style table are breathtaking. Perhaps most surprising of all was the tremendous communication with the owner, who was extremely gracious, accommodating, and kind. He made sure we were comfortable and even gave excellent recommendations for places to eat, and things to do while we were enjoying our week at topsail. So much better than renting from a larger corporate entity.

Had a great week here! We never had to move our car! The convenience of having everything you need within walking distance is unbeatable! There is an IGA basically across street, several restaurants and bars and even shopping - all right there! Highly recommend Shaka Taco, which is basically in your backyard - Delicious!! The elevator was super convenient, especially with having 3 floors. All of the bedrooms are a great size and have their own bathroom. We traveled with a 2 year old and the bedroom on the ground floor does not have windows so it was perfect for long (dark) naps during the day! We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

The property was fantastic. Well appointed family friendly had lots of extras we could use for the kids. Location was great walked to several restaurants and of course they had to try a different ice cream shop nightly. Big activity was building sand castles only to have the 3 year old with great delight smash them

This house was amazing. Very clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious. The location is perfect, we could literally walk to anything we wanted to do. We plan to rent this house again next summer and can't wait to go back! Plus, the elevator is a huge benefit for those of us with arthritis!

4th year staying in Surf City. This unit was BY FAR the best yet! Those morning views of the sunrise, sitting on decks, by the pool, on the beach…THE best!! Across the street from just about everything- walked everywhere! The owner was VERY accessible (not that we needed him that much as every thing was perfect.) Their “pay it forward “ works great with non/perishables left to start your week. And…1 PM check-in! How great to start your week early!!! Totally recommend this owner’s units!!! Thank you Ted!!

Our stay was amazing! This vacation was everything we could wish for, from the beach literally steps away and a pool included too. Our sunsets while sitting on the porch balconies. Enjoying the warm breeze on your face. You have the sunrise off the ocean and the sunset off the back bedroom porch. The house fit all our family. We all had our own room. With each a private full bathroom, one with a jacuzzi full of bubbles! The elevator was one of the best options since it’s 3 levels and carrying up our belongings and groceries! The walks in the beach collecting shells walking down under the pier is gorgeous. We were welcomed by all we met, everywhere we went. Everything you want to do is in walking distance from this iconic amazing beautiful home. I’m sure I’m missing something… one of our Best stays ever. Can’t wait for next year.

We loved this charming oceanfront duplex. We hardly had to drive anywhere as everything we needed and wanted to see was within walking distance. Right next door is Daddy mac’s restaurant and across the street we had Shaka tacos. It was the perfect Christmas getaway.

The location can’t be beat. Right on the beach. Easy walk to great food, coffee, and groceries. Owner is super communicative and helpful. Place is comfortable, spacious Ideal for our family Thanksgiving with 9 of us. Views from the porches can’t be eat. Would love to return.
