This little house was very welcoming and well maintained. The owner has spent much time in decorating and making things look pretty. We had some difficulty with the fuse going out in the kitchen when I used the hot water kettle and coffee maker at the same time. However, the owner sent kind, friendly relatives to come and fix the problem. They also helped us figure out how to turn on the TV and the washer, both of which were confusing because so different from what we are used to. The bathroom was very warm because the switch to turn off the heater was broken, but we were ablt to open the window to cool things down. Other than these problems, the house was very pleasant and cozy.

We loved staying here. Was so comfortable in this home. Great location, close to the airport and the Blue Lagoon. Very spacious and great kitchen. Great response when we needed assistance as well. We would return here!

All of the other reviewers were right. This house is a dream. Rosa was so very helpful with any questions. We went out every day and experienced every type of weather imaginable, from snow to bright sunshine, but whatever the weather, getting back to the house was just lovely. Rosa is definately a wizz at styling the house, it's just so welcoming with everything you need for self catering there and ready to go. Alas, we didn't get to see the northern lights, the moon was full and there was quite a bit of cloud. We will certainly be back, but planning to be there for a no moon few nights. Its a box that we so want to tick. Blue lagoon is right on the doorstep, but secret lagoon is certainly worth the drive too. Hope to come back later in the year, now, Where's my moon phase guide for Iceland....

The house is beautiful, comfy, warm and very well equipped - the perfect refuge to come home to after a day of walking, sightseeing and exploring the area. The kitchen was especially appreciated (cooking for a group of five was no problem). The area around the house is very nice and quiet, close to the ocean and some walking trails. The airport, the Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik are only a short drive away. We didn’t meet Rosa, but she sent us a lot of information before our trip, responded to all our questions and was very kind and accommodating. When we had some trouble with the gas canister in the house, we called her on the phone and help arrived within minutes. All in all, we had a lovely time and only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

The house is well located just close to the seashore, about midway between the airport and Reykjavik, in a very quiet area. The house is very comfortable, bright, clean and fully equipped. Rosa took care of everything so that we spent a fantastic week there. We highly recommend it for a stay in the region. We were a family of 4 and it was perfect for us.

It was really nice to end the day in a place that was a little more relaxed and away from things. It is only about 20 minutes from the capitol, and is a stones throw from the ocean with a fantastic walking/running trail. The hosts are very helpful throughout the process and were very accomodating.

Absolutely would stay again! Exactly as advertised and the owner was fabulous! The home had everything we needed for our family of five adults and then some. The neighborhood was excellent with walking trails and very sweet people. The view of the ocean from the kitchen and breakfast room was such a treat and the home is a perfect location for coming in from the airport (15 minute drive), going to The Blue Lagoon (15 minute drive and our personal favorite after flying in) or a short drive into Reykjavík. Absolutely loved it and will definitely book again when we return. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay! We loved the easy location (close to the airport, the Golden Circle, the Blue Lagoon, and Reykjavik), warm hospitality from Rosa, well appointed home, and all the space our family needed to enjoy our first trip to Iceland!

We were very pleased with this lovely home away from home. There was a lot of room to relax after busy days of sightseeing. The beds were very comfortable, the neighborhood very quiet with a nice view of the water. The patio was the perfect place for stargazing or spotting the Northern Lights if they should appear. It's only 15 km from the airport so definitely a good place to stay just after arriving or just before leaving. I highly recommend Rosa's home.

Myself, my wife, two sons (12 and 15), and mother were finishing up a long anticipated trip to Iceland. We had already spent 11 days driving the ring road staying in a different place every night with the last two nights at a condo in downtown Reykjavik. Now we would spend the last two nights of our trip in this home, and it was the perfect prescription to wind down with a less frenzied pace, get some solitude and space from the togetherness of the last two weeks, and prepare for our trip back home. While there we drove the golden circle, went horseback riding at Is Hestar, and visited the Blue Lagoon. We enjoyed meals prepared in the amply supplied kitchen, time relaxing in the comfortable living areas, and walks along the water. The wifi was strong and consistent, and the laundry facilities allowed us to arrive home with clean clothes ready to be put away. This was perfect.

This place is really such a great comforting place! We stop in Iceland on the way back from a 10 week European trip. We have 4 kids, we were exhausted and ready for home. This place was the perfect place to recover from and refresh for our trip home. The owner is very helpful and nice. The house is clean and well equipped. The beds are amazing! The drive from the airport and Reykjavik are super easy from this location. The owner really made us feel as if the was a home away from home! I will forever be grateful for this house and our time here. And really grateful for the little touches that made a world of difference for an exhausted family, like putting milk and cereal for breakfast! Thanks so much! We will be back!

We so loved staying in Rosa's home for our getaway to Iceland. Close to airport and Reykjavik. We loved coming back to this house after long days of sight seeing- plenty of space for our family of 5 (2 teens and a preteen!) we all felt at home here. Rosa was so easy to communicate with she even left some food and milk for us as we arrived in Iceland on a very late flight. Was great to have some breakfast food to start our first morning there. I can not say enough good things about this house.
