Just steps from the ocean, the cottage’s location is convenient for families with children. The pool provides a refreshing respite from the sandy shore and is an alternate activity for the kiddos. The interior of the house has been recently updated and includes modern appliances and stylish tiles.

The home was beautiful and very clean. Very nice being oceanfront. Unfortunately the washing machine did not work. The air conditioning continued cutting off and on. Other than that we enjoyed our vacation.

My husband and I recently spent 9 days at this beautiful property. The location is fantastic - quiet community with beautiful beaches. Perfect for some relaxing time away after Labor Day. The public beach access points are 500 feet in either direction of the cottage, so the only other people on the beach near the cottage where from the neighboring properties. We also enjoyed using the private pool in the afternoons. It is the perfect size and depth (about 4 feet, I would estimate) for a quick dip to cool off. We enjoyed cocktails each evening on the deck found between the beach and the house. The blue chairs pictured in the listing are the perfect spot to watch the sun drop over the horizon (not exactly a sunset as the deck faces east, but lovely nonetheless.) However, our favorite part of the cottage was the interior of the home. It is the perfect combination of vintage and updated. The paneled walls and ceilings add to the vintage charm and are accented by many pieces of antique furniture. At the same time, the cottage is wonderfully updated with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The beachy accents throughout remind you where you are without being too obvious. The overall effect makes you feel at home at once. A complete standout for us compared to other places we have rented which focused more on cheap and minimal furnishing and decor. I love to cook and prepared most of our meals during our stay. While I had to get creative a few times, I found the kitchen well-stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, and serving/dining pieces. My husband was disappointed to find only one bowl small enough for cereal each morning, but a quick wash, and it was ready for the next day. We did have two days of rain during our stay and decided it would be the perfect time to do our laundry. Unfortunately, this didn't work out as well as we had hoped as the washer and dryer are in the storage room under the cottage which can only be accessed via two sets of outdoor stairs - neither of which are covered. Not a major issue, but just wanted to note this for future guests. We will absolutely stay at this cottage again when we are in the area. While we were by ourselves on this visit, we would gladly bring our kids and grandkids with us next time. There is plenty of room.

We had a great week at this place. Ocean was right there but when we needed a break we came back to pool area. The pool was fantastic and the shaded sitting area by the pool proved to be our favorite hangout. A perfect beach vacation!

We had everything we needed for a week on the beach. And we loved having a pool.

We had a couple minor issues with the house (tv, dishwasher, door and outdoor shower coming in from the beach) but the property manager addressed everything very quickly. The house is very close to the beach and had everything that we could have wanted. We loved all of the umbrellas, chairs, rafts and a lot of other beach accessories that we were allowed to use in the storage shed. We also liked that there was a second refrigerator downstairs. My family had a great week at this property and I would definitely rent this house again in the future.

Upon arrival, we immediately fell in love with this house. The pool and lounge area was very clean and comfortable. The house was in great condition and very clean. The house was nicely decorated and looked freshly renovated. The house is between public beach accesses and the beach was surprisingly not crowded. Overall, it was a great experience and we would like to book again soon!

Great Place!

I’ve been coming to the Brunswick islands my whole life and I have to say this was probably my favorite home I’ve ever stayed in! This was our first family vacation and this place did not disappoint! From the adorable decor to the ocean views this cottage was everything pictured and more! My kids love the pool and the area wasn’t too far from the access bridge which made dinners and ice cream a breeze! Will definitely be coming back! Thank you so much!

Nice cozy home with a private pool and direct beach access! We were a bit early in the season so it was too cold to enjoy, but that’s no fault of the home. Thank you for letting us stay!

Everything you need in a vacation home! Right on the beach.

The property was very clean and in a perfect location. Owner was very prompt in returning messages and check in process was simple. Looking forward to staying again.

We loved how well equipped the house was: extra towels, beach cahirs, umbrella. Our teens LOVED the pool w/ inflatable basketball goal and played there for hours after dark. The owners were accessible and forthcoming. We are looking at calendars and hope to book the house again next summer.

We had a fantastic week! Between the pool and the beach everyone was happy. The kitchen is fully equipped with whatever you need. We rented a golf cart which was helpful to run to pick up food or ice. Being it a holiday and a pandemic, I would recommend cooking at home as restaurants were either closed, a long wait, or packed. Overall it was a wonderful week!

This house was perfect for our family of 5. The house was beautifully decorated with beach themes and we had everything we could need. We loved the wide, clean beach, the pool area, sun deck, and covered porch. The beach was not crowded at all and the island was very charming.

We really enjoyed the house. It was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 kids. We usually stay in a multi-level property and I was a little worried about being in a smaller space but it was actually nice to be able to have everyone close together. There is plenty of outdoor space if you need to escape! The house is beautifully updated and clean. The owner has toys and bikes available for use. The pool was great and access to the beach is direct and easy. Since it's not too close to a public beach access we never felt crowded on the beach.

What a charming, magical little cottage! The interior is adorable - really sweetly and whimsically decorated (mermaids and flamingos abound!). My family of 4 had a great time staying here! Everything was sparkling clean. Of course we loved sitting out in the porch chairs watching the ocean. We even saw a fox one evening! Be sure to arrange for linens and towels or bring them with you. We ate in every night and the kitchen was more than adequately stocked with dishes, pots and pans, knives, etc. But you’ll need to bring dish detergent, toilet paper, and kitchen towels/rags. The house has plenty of beach chairs! The WiFi was better than home. All in all, we had a lovely time. Thank you so much!

This is a sweet oceanfront cottage with pool on one of NC's best beach towns- Ocean Isle Beach. We have been to OIB many times and thought this was a great rental we would consider staying in again. If you don't have a need for an enormous house but still want something really clean, oceanfront, and with a pool - this is a terrific option. The kitchen is well stocked with many things you would want. The location is about a mile from the OIB pier but not so far down on the east end that you feel you're too far away to hit up Sharky's for dinner or the Drift or putt putt. Communication with the owner was always prompt and helpful. Very helpful to have beach chairs already at the rental and no need worry about renting any while there. Also really appreciated having fans in every bedroom - because of them even a light sleeper can comfortably sleep on the street-side of the house. Would definitely consider staying again when we are back on the island! Only constructive feedback would be that the room with twin beds could have more comfortable mattresses at some point - absolutely fine for kids to sleep in, though. (And this adult slept there one night with no significant issues either.)
