Great location and facility for large family gathering.

The property is just as advertised. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Minutes from Buena Vista with wonderful views. Was a perfect farm setting with the goats and horses. Our group especially appreciated the parking, which was perfect for our two trucks, trailers that carried out off-road equipment. Area was safe and secure for parking as you traveled through two gates to get to the home. The host was very helpful in directing us to get a tire patched on a Saturday for one of the trucks. Will definitely return next year if the home is available for our family ATV trip. Thank you

This farm is just a little slice of heaven! The farm is a well-built establishment and excellently maintained. Everything you could possibly need is already ready for you at the home. The location is wonderful, with the mountains in view from everywhere. There are also a bunch of fun locations to visit nearby. We visited the sand dunes, cottonwood hot springs, st. elmo's ghost town, and salida for lunch on the river. All are just a short drive away. We often visited the animals on the farm as well; horses are visible right outside the back window! Thank you Dawn for sharing your home with us. We will remember it for a lifetime!

Our group was a party of seven coming out to Buena Vista for a mountain trail race. Found this home on VRBO. The group loved the home because it is a large home with a lot of space to spread out. The home is great for a large group or two big families. Lots of space to hang out together or be alone. The group thought the fact that we were on a goat farm was the coolest idea. The goat farm is so cute. It has a lot of goats but it also has horse, sheep, dogs and cats. They have a little store that sells really good cheese. We found a great whitewater rafting company River Runners not far from the house. Highly recommend Ki. Main Street of town is a mile and a half from the house with shops and restaurants.

The JGGD was the perfect place for our summer friends and family gathering. We always enjoy the good times in Chaffee County, and the guest house at JGGD made it all the more sweet. Lots of space, good animals on the farm, and a special setting to get us outdoors. The kitchen and dining room were great for the times we were in. All the amenities and creature comforts of the guest house were superb. Thank you!

Dawns house is super clean and well located. Ear Buena Vista. As a family of 7 it is a treat for each kid to have their own bed and this house was amazing. Thanks for a great stay!

I'll be honest: I felt like I was in a Hallmark Christmas movie. It couldn't have been better! We loved our stay....it far exceeded our expectations. The house is absolutely wonderful, and perfect for our party of 8 adults. The pictures don't do it justice- it's really large, welcoming, homey, warm, well stocked, with great touches throughout. We stayed over Christmas week, and we were so happy to even have pretty Christmas decorations up. It's magnificent in that the house is in the valley, so there are mountains surrounding you in every direction. Waking up to the view of horses roaming just steps from the house was priceless. We went horseback riding, to natural hot springs, and skiing all in a week from this location. The downtown is cute and a very quick drive down the road. All 8 of us agreed that we will definitely want to return one day soon. Thank you for a fantastic stay- it made my Christmas wish come true!

We had a great stay here and everything was very nice

Our family enjoyed the HUGE Farmhouse and all the animals. It was absolutely beautiful and very close to Buena Vista and multiple hiking paths, mountains and places to eat. The house had everything we needed. If you have children, it's perfect. Our grandson absolutely LOVED all the animals. The settings was amazing and we had family photos taken on the property.

This house is gorgeous, with everything you could possibly need. My kids had a blast playing with all the toys in the loft and petting the goats and horses. The beds were comfy, and it was a true farm experience waking up to the crowing rooster. The views from the property are amazing, and it’s close to town and tons of hiking. 10/10!

We loved staying here! Absolutely beautiful and such a fun experience. The house was huge and the guest gave us some cheese to sample.

We wanted a family vacation near Buena Vista and room to park a trailer we were towing. Dawn graciously let us park the trailer on the property before check-in so we could go for a hike w/o dragging it around. House was clean and homey with lots of space and a well-stocked kitchen; it is quiet and has views of the farm animals and nearby mountains. Still close enough to be convenient for getting into town. We didn't make it to local hot springs, but there are several nearby. My daughter and I enjoyed a horseback ride with Jewel, Dawn's daughter. Also thanks for the yummy goat cheese! We'd love to come stay here again.

Wonderful stay with two adult children. Close to Buena Vista and amenities but a wonderful retreat to just enjoy the farm and the views of the mountains. Owner was super helpful and it was terrific to see all the animals. Goat cheese was delicious!

Location was close enough to town but felt extremely rural. House was large enough for 6 adults. It’s a real house, thoroughly stocked and decorated. Felt we were in a home not a large extended stay hotel. We wanted for nothing

This was a unique and memorable experience. We had a 2 year old who loved the farm animals and small play area onsite. There are great mountain views and the proximity to fun attractions was very convenient. Dawn was a great, communicative host and left us amazing products from the farm to sample! The house was comfortable and spacious for our group of 5. We enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone in the area.

Dawn's place is amazing! Who wouldn't love a beautiful house on a working dairy farm?? The house is large and well stocked, including a fun game room area with kids' toys! Right outside the window, you can peacefully watch the grazing of the goats, sheep, and horses. Make sure to take advantage of the farm tour! Dawn even let the kids feed a couple of baby goats she rescued. When we are in BV, we always visit the General store to taste the amazing cheeses made on site and other local treats. Nestled at the base of Mt. Princeton gives killer views and the town of Buena Vista is just a few minutes away so it is the perfect place to stay while traveling to CO!!

What a wonderful way to experience the beauty of the Colorado mountains and the town of Buena Vista. The farm house had everything we needed with the addition of baby goats to bottle feed, horses, baby cows, dogs that herd and more goats. We didn’t get to stay long enough to do everything but we will be back.

We stayed at the Jumpin Good Goat farm in June of 2022. We’ve stayed in various locations in BV in past visits, but the pictures of this property along with the stellar reviews had us intrigued - I mean - who wouldn’t want to have a bunch of animals around the house to watch during downtimes. Upon arrival - we were greeted by the property manager, Dawn, and her daughter, Jewel. We were immediately thrown into farm living when Jewel asked if our kids wanted to help feed the calves and baby goats. The children, aged 13, 11, and 7 jumped at the opportunity and our vacation was off and running before we even explored the home. Once inside though, we were amazed at just how large the house was. A spacious loft with three full sized beds was more than enough room for all three kids. The loft was jam-packed with board games and toys that piqued our kids interest during downtimes. On the other side of the house were 3 more bedrooms with queen beds. In between the loft and the 3 bedrooms, there was a well-equipped kitchen, a relaxing den with a tv, a living room for afternoon or early morning horse-viewing and a dining room. The house was clean and has been well maintained by Jewel, Dawn and family. One of the biggest perks of staying at Jumpin Good this summer was coordinating an afternoon with Jewel to horseback on the property. We were introduced to August (Augy), Sunday, Ares, and Jake - beautiful horses that live on the farm. We spent time in the ring with these beautiful animals, getting comfortable riding. Jewel then took us out on the 300 acres of property in the shadow of Mt. Princeton on horseback. I highly recommend that if you plan to say on the property, inquire about horseback opportunities with Jewel. She was wonderful with our kids and taught all of us a thing or two about these wonderful animals. This was better than an overly-commercial experience you may find at other local stables. My wife enjoyed the country store on the property with the assortment of artisan cheeses made by Dawn and her team in the creamery on the property. We purchased a few bottles of wine in town and had a nice farm-to-table cheese charcuterie appetizer each evening before dinner. I’m telling you - this experience is like no other you will have in a rental property in BV. Overall - the worst thing about this trip was having to leave. If this property is available- go ahead and lock it in. You won’t be disappointed in your decision.

I took my kids here and Dawn and her family were great hosts. The kids loved interacting with her and the farm animals. The house was immaculate and very spacious. We only used 2 rooms. The kitchen was super as well. Close to town but far enough away to feel away. We look forward to returning soon. Thanks!!

We spent Spring Break in this lovely home and enjoyed so many beautiful views! Looking out from the kitchen or den you can see the beautiful mountains, horses, goats and chickens. The house was clean, spacious and had everything everything we could possibly need. Our kids loved the loft and interacting with the animals! We would definitely stay there again!!

This authentic farmstead had everything we were looking for. It is out in the quiet country yet close to town. A short drive to many hiking trails in all directions. The kitchen was well supplied so we were able to cook all our meals there. There were enough rooms in the home that we could all be together when we wanted, yet have our own space when we wanted. We enjoyed walking around the farm and greeting the horses, goats, llama and chickens. Such a peaceful and relaxing place. Note: the resident rooster does start crowing before dawn and will be heard from the bedrooms on the back side of the house, so put the early-rising folks in those bedrooms!

Dawn Jump was great as a hostess, solid communication & better than expected. Central Colorado is a wonderful place to decouple an plan the next 3-5 years. Dawn's facility fit the bill for solid location and improving our planning process for Agri business opportunities

Our family of 6 and two sets of grandparents stayed here for about a week. Our kids are 11,10, 8 & 7 (all girls). They had such a great time. We enjoyed finding and meeting all the animals every day. I even missed our good morning Rooster the one morning we didn’t hear him. Dawn, the owner, was wonderful and very accommodating. The house is huge and very clean and comfortable. It had everything we could possibly imagine and the location is very close to town. Our girls knew the name of every single animal on the farm by the end of our stay! Highly recommend staying here if you want a relaxing/rustic stay with modern amenities.

Your stay in this quaint farmhouse will not disappoint. The house was clean and comes with almost everything you could want for your stay. It is located less than 5 minutes from downtown Buena Vista and everything it has to offer. There is plenty of room for everyone to sleep and lounge around while you plan your excursions into Buena Vista and the Collegiate Peaks just outside your back door. Dawn (the owner) is very responsive and easy to get in touch with if you have any questions. There are only two things I would recommend updating for future guests: I would make sure there is a working ice maker in the fridge and I would update the mattresses. Most, if not all, of them are pretty dated and sunk in the middle. Other than that I have no complaints. You can go visit the goats, chickens, horses, sheep, etc. at the farm right next door or drive into town to visit one of the many new or established restaurants and shops. This charming property and town have plenty to do and see.

What a wonderful stay in Buena Vista at the Jumpin Good Goat Dairy Farm. Dawn was such a wonderful host and the property and Home were just beautiful. The home was clean and well supplied with plenty of room. Having all of the animals around created a family vacation with wonderful memories made. My grandsons squeals of delight at all of the animals and his happy smiles will forever be a memory. I highly recommend the vacation rental and really do hope I can come back another visit.

Dawn was the best host! She communicated with us before booking and worked with us as we didn't meet all the requirements. The check in process was super easy for us. The house was meticulously cleaned which I really appreciated! The location of the farmhouse is awesome as it's close to downtown BV but also close to Salida. We quite enjoyed the roomy farmhouse and seeing all the farm animals along with rabbits and Prarie dogs as well. We loved stating with Dawn and we'll look for this home again next time!

We had a great time at the farm house. Was decorated very festive for the holiday. Weather was amazing so we were able to enjoy hiking and skiing the area had to offer.

The Farm Stay was fantastic. The house is beautiful with plenty of room, and filled with activities for the whole family. The kid's loft is large and filled with toys and stuffed animals to keep the little ones entertained. The kitchen was fully stocked which allowed use to cook Thanksgiving dinner. The farm animals were friendly and accessible. I highly recommend when staying in Buena Vista to stay here. For our next family reunion we will be back.
