We loved the house. It was really well done with period pieces that were classic to its vintage. The house was very clean, well-appointed and just in a great location to where we needed to be. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely old home with nice amenities. Hostess was very responsive to our needs. Close to Blanco square and easy to get to nearby activities.

Shyrle was a lovely host. House was clean, comfortable and as described. We were welcomed with some delicious home baked goods. Good cell service made no wi-fi a non-issue.

This property is exactly as it's advertised. Absolutely charming! We thoroughly enjoyed the owner's thoughtfulness with pastries, ice, coffee, and extras. We will return!

Conveniently in the middle of town, this was a clean house with interesting features. 3 bedrooms accommodated us all without any crowding. The muffins and banana bread on arrival were a sweet bonus. Highly recommended.

If you are traveling I recommend that you check out this property. It is very much the same as it was 70 years ago. It is a nice reach back to the past. Very convenient to downtown Blanco and the Blanco State Park.

Location was very central to the town and state park. Front porch was my favorite!!

From the wrap around porch to all the yummy baked goods, this is a great spot. The mattress’ are very old and not comfortable but everything else is amazing.

Wow! We can't begin to tell you what a fantastic time we had in Blanco. Our hostess was amazing - the yummiest banana nut bread and pastries were wanting for us upon our arrival. So much history in her grandparents home. Everything you could possibly need is under that roof!! Great location - walking distance to Blanco's downtown and the Lavender Festival.

What a sweet little home. A great location in a great little town. Very centrally located. The baked goods were yummy. The owner is very kind and thoughtful.

property advertised "TV" but it's a small computer screen for you to watch dvd's on. Living room, kitchen, bathroom and main bedroom all have windows that don't have coveriings on them so at night you can not get privacy. Parking is along the street out front and a bit dangerous in that street is narrow. I was afraid of being side swiped. neighborhood felt a bit sketchy for a single female staying alone. owner did leave muffins and things for continental breakfast however i did not eat them. Home was clean for it's age but beds were horrible! Every time I moved they made a crackling, creaking sound like the mattress protector was made of bubble wrap or something. You could not get out of bed without waking the entire home if others were staying there!

Lots of history and beautiful antiques. Very clean. Everything was just as it was presented online. Great porch with rocking chairs. The history of the home is very interesting and the family pictures were a nice touch. The mattresses are good, but the beds creak a great deal. Every time you move the bed creaks very loud. I would try to fix that for the future. Thank you for a nice, clean home.

This property was clean, comfortable, well appointed and convenient to Main Square in Blanco and made day trips to Austin, Dripping Springs and other areas easy. This location felt safe and was within easy walking distance to downtown Blanco. The beds were clean and very comfortable, the water pressure for showers was great and the temp was wonderful too. Our hostess Sheryl checked in with us before the stay and during the stay with recommendations on restaurants and to make sure our expectations were being met (they were!). If you like to cook, the kitchen had plenty of cookware with plates , coffee cups, and wine glasses available to use. Sheryl also had oatmeal, granola bars, coffee (and a coffee pot and filters) and creamer available. Rocking chairs are on the porch with a nook table to enjoy coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. I would stay here again if the opportunity arises. Sheryl, thanks for being an amazing hostess!

Wonderful home in Blanco. The owner was extremely nice and delivered delicious baked goods. This home was easy access to the wedding venue for our daughter's wedding.

Very nice cozy little home. Very clean and very maintained. The host was very nice also and respectful. Left us a continental breakfast set up. Perfect spot right downtown

Lots of stuff to break, so definitely not the house for everyone, but ohmygod are all those decorations cute. Even the ceilings are great. Super clean place, too. Reception was questionable and the tv was small, and that's exactly how I wanted it. Kept my boyfriend away from the screens and focused on the good stuff. Blanco State Park is literally two seconds away (11/10 would recommend), we were on top of downtown, some breweries and gelato places were around the corner. All the little things you need to relax and have a good time and nothing extra.

We really enjoyed our stay at Crossley House and appreciated the hospitality of our hostess, Shyrle. Everything was as described. The notes and background shared about the house really made us appreciate the warm and loving history of the owner’s childhood home. The attention to detail with coffee, milk, eggs, yogurt and homemade baked goods was lovely too. The house is about 4 blocks from the Blanco square so within easy walking distance. It rained a lot while we were there so we mostly drove but did walk to dinner once. There are several good restaurants right there on the square. We also made trips to San Marcos, Wimberley, Johnson City, Luckenbach, and Fredericksburg and all are within 20 to 40 minutes. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations and the warm welcome and felt any needs or concerns would be addressed quickly had we had any. Luckily we didn’t. It was an all around great experience and would stay again.

Outstanding home with a generous host. We had everything we needed and more. Spent most of our time on the amazing porch. The mattress are old spring mattress that are quite uncomfortable. Other than that this rental is perfect.

The house is lovely and the breakfast provided was very nice. However, be aware there is an extra charge per person (if there are over two) per night. This is not clearly written on the listing and was a shock to pay extra on top of the listed price.

Extremely comfortable and familiar feeling. Owner called in advance to chat and make sure all was clear. She also stopped in to meet us. She is very friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of towels, cooking stuff, and breakfast things to eat. The front porch was great for evening cocktails and morning coffee. This was my best home rental experience ever.

This house is adorable - it was perfect for our stay. And Shyrle is a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed and was so gracious. The house is so close to downtown Blanco and Shyrle gave us great recommendations as to where to eat and also left so many wonderful treats for us! Homemade banana nut bread, pastries, yogurt, milk, cereal, muffins, coffee - anything you could want for breakfast. And it was so fun to look at all the antiques and unique items she decorated the house with - unfortunately it was a little chilly to hang out on the front porch but maybe next time. :) It was a perfect place to relax and spend a little time checking out Blanco. Definitely eat at Uptown Blanco, Josie's Kitchen, Redbud Cafe, and Chess Club - all were so good!

We stayed at Crossley House for a weekend and loved everything about it. Sheryl left a light on for us when we told her we’d be getting in late. She also left fruit and pastries for us to enjoy for breakfast and throughout the day. Next time I’m in Blanco I hope to stay there again.

We had an amazing trip and the house was a big part of it. There’s several really neat antique nicknacks throughout the home. The host also left us some goodies to enjoy. We found a plate of fresh fruit in the fridge, cookies on the table, a loaf of banana nut bread, some muffins, jalepeno pig in blankets, mini cereal boxes, and some yogurt in the fridge. She didn’t have to, but it made for the sweetest surprise! The only negative I could say was the lighting. With a few gals getting ready for a late wedding, we need a lot of light to do our makeup. The porch was a perfect spot to enjoy the weather and each other. It was super easy to find and the location was great. We weren’t in the busy part of town, but less than a mile away when we needed to get there. We loved it and cannot wait to come again

Do not miss out on this hidden gem! Very charming home with lots of personality and history. Extremely excellent interaction with owner and lovely continental breakfast! Only a short drive to many tourist locations. Blanco town proper is adorable and the nearby state park would be a treat in itself. Beautiful porch sets off evenings with deer walking by.

this place was perfect for our stay in every way and the host know what she is doing! Coffee, milk, home made snacks and pastries. This was very comfortable. I can't say enough good things about it
