If you are looking for a private location of a cabin this is for you! Amazing property and awesome location near Lead/Deadwood. There is a very steep driveway so make sure you have a bigger vehicle.

We enjoyed our stay. Having the garage to park our side by sides and atv in and having a place to leave the trailer beside the garage was very nice. There was some hiway riding to get to trails but the trails were varied and fun. The property was nice, and the hot tub felt good after a day on the trails. Unfortunately there were no blinds on any windows, the kitchen had only minimal dishes and the garbage disposal was still out of service. The dead mice in the basement window well could, and should, be addressed. There was no laundry detergent although it was listed as supplied. There were no closets for the downstairs bedrooms and the upstairs bedroom closet was full of mattresses making it unusable. Not deal breakers but leaves room for improvement. We did enjoy watching the deer browse their way through the yard, and having meals/drinks on the deck was pleasant. One of our deciding factors to choose this property was the ability to maneuver and park a 24’ enclosed trailer. Even though the drive way was steep, as others have mentioned, we were able to pull the loaded trailer up into the yard and had enough room to unload it and get it parked out of the way for the duration of our stay.

The inside of the home is beautiful. The furniture is in excellent condition and comfortable. Next-the bad. There are not enough dishes for all guests if fully booked. The dish rags were in tatters. There was only one replacement battery for the dead tv remote. There's no cutting board and using the natural stone countertops would not be a good idea. There were no containers of any kind to store leftover food in. The coffee maker is so plugged up that it literally to over 30 minutes to make an 8 cup pot of coffee. There was not enough paper towels or garbage bags to last the 4 of us for 6 days. There is zero upkeep of the landscaping- sad for the cost of the stay. Now, the ugly. All the smoke detectors in the basement were disconnected. The driveway is horrendous(gravel, steep, washed out with huge ruts. My friend dumped his Harley over in the first 5 yards from the ruts. We had to walk both my Harley and his all the way down to the road. We had to leave the trailer parked by the road and store the bikes in there the rest of the week. At a minimum there should be a disclosure that this place is not motorcycle friendly. Maybe have the driveway repaired/maintained for the price being charged (cost of business).

The house was perfectly situated in the wilderness with wildlife at your back deck. The location is perfect for miles of ATVing, a short drive to Deadwood, Sturgis, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and many other hot spots. After a day site seeing, the house is very cozy and perfect for a relaxing evening outside grilling on the deck or watching a movie on the lower level. Highly recommended for those who love adventure and the outdoors.

Great location and easy to find. The cabin was very beautiful, but I would suggest whoever stays there bring some sheets or blankets to hang on the bedroom windows. No curtains or blinds in any of the bedrooms and there are 2 cabins close by. Also, if you plan on cooking bring your own knives.

The beds were comfortable but the pillows were very hard and there were no extra blankets. The coffee pot took over an hour to brew half a pot of coffee so we bought our own vinegar and tan it through a few times... it was disgusting but worked much better when we left. Also, there were no blinds on the windows so privacy and sleeping in was difficult to come by. The location was very peaceful and quiet and the cabin worked great for our girls weekend but with the price and cleaning fee charged I would expect everything to be clean and in good working order.

There were a few things we noticed that wouldn't prevent us from staying here in the future, but that would be good to be aware of depending on your personal preferences.1) If you're going with a big group, be aware that it's not terribly well stocked. There would definitely not be enough plates, glasses etc. for a larger group of people. It was just my husband and I so it worked fine for us.2) Overall the house was clean and relatively well-kept. There were some minor maintenance things, specifically in the kitchen area/sink that could be addressed (the disposal didn't work and the drain plugs don't hold water because they're so worn out), but they weren't deal breakers for us.3) There are no curtains anywhere, and there are houses within viewing distance of the loft bedroom, specifically. (Not to mention we really wanted to sleep in on our break from "real life" so a little darkness would have been really nice to allow that to happen)4) It had just snowed and the driveway is quite steep - we were told we'd need AWD/4WD so we were prepared, but again, something to be aware of.Overall we enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again, but there are a few minor things that could take this house from good to AMAZING without much effort. :-)

Wonderful location. Well-decorated. Clean. Functional. The only thing for future reference for other renters would be the driveway is steep and no place to park a snowmobile trailer. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

Loved the convenient location of the home. It was everything we needed and plenty of space and amenities. We enjoyed some area snow activities as well as just hanging out at the house. Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven, can't wait to come back!!

We were a little concerned about us making it there as Lead received 3ft of snow prior to us coming. We had nothing to worry about as the roads were nicely plowed when we arrived. The cabin had a secluded feeling (which we love) as you couldn’t really see other cabins by looking out the windows. The kitchen was great! It was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook our Christmas dinner. Everyone loved the hot tub and the beds were very comfy as well. As I mentioned earlier, Lead had just gotten 3ft of snow so I am glad we brought our shovel as all the decks had snow on them. We had a great Christmas here and will definitely do it again!

LEAD and Deadwood were 5 min away, but we were tucked up in the mountains in a very quiet, secluded area. The house was perfect for our family of 4, but could easily accomodate many more.

This property was perfect for our group of side by side riders. We rode our side by sides from the front door to Custer, Sylvan Lake, Needles Highway, Spearfish, and Mt. Rushmore. We drove to Deadwood for breakfast and dinner. The trails are amazing and too numerous to count! You could spend weeks and never exhaust them all. The house was beautiful and well equipped. Beds were comfortable. The living room was a great gathering place with a big, comfy couch. We used the hot tub twice. It was clean and a beautiful setting after a long day riding. Highly recommend!

The location is very good. Cabin clean for most part. Could use some maintenance here and there. Ceiling stained in living room. Driveway is very steep, have to gun it if your taking motorcycles up, it is gravel with rain gouges. Little rough. No curtains on any windows, I know the wood work around windows is nice, but at least install blinds on the inside. Just could use a little more work to the small details.

We had a good stay here, we made the most of it, but this property is not new as told on the listing. Listing failed to mention that there are only 2 showers in the house and the bathroom for the master bedroom is the also the main floor bathroom. Also, there are some maintenance issues with the property- the couch in the living room is broken, we were renting for a wedding and had family come over and everyone mostly sat on the floor in the living room. In addition, the doors to the deck are not easy to operate and there are screws on the decking that stick out. You cannot walk on the deck without shoes on. There was also water slowly dripping from a can light in the living room. It didn’t rain but we think it was from morning condensation on the roof?? We also had to put up with rattling tin on the deck roof that would randomly vibrate from the wind, not a big deal but was an inconvenience when talking with family. We were also dissatisfied in the landscaping, as edging was sticking up in places of the yard, so bad our 6 year old tripped and fell and the hose was spread out all across the yard by the front door entry. I tried to roll up the hose but the hose reel was broken. In the kitchen, the garbage disposal is broken and seems to have been for a while. Also, the driveway is STEEP and the road coming into the house is rough!! We have stayed with Buddi before and had much better luck, not with this place! Overall, not a big deal but everything adds up and for the price I would pass on this property!!!!

The only complaint that we have is it would have been nice to have curtains, there weren’t any in the whole house, not even in the bedrooms. Granted you don’t have super close neighbors, it still would have been nice to have that privacy. Other than that we were pleased with everything else.

The basement was chilly. It could use a new couch and a few more chairs in the master and living room and a mirror or two for the gals to get ready. But over all it was great! Plenty of parking for our 3 atv trailers and trucks. Driveway is steep but the whole area is hilly so that’s common. Budi was a great help and always responded .
