I cannot say enough good things about this property. It is located on lovely Straits Pond and ideally near Hull, Cohasset, and Hingham. The hosts thought of everything and more to make our stay delightful. We love history and nostalgia and this cottage had it all—the decor and simplicity reminiscent of days gone by when life was simpler. There is AC in the main living area and the bedrooms and box fans are everywhere. There are beach chairs and plenty of towels. The kitchen has everything that you need. The outdoor seating area is lovely and such a peaceful spot to appreciate the swans and other wildlife. We will rent this charming home again when our travels take us to Hull. Thanks so much to our gracious hosts.

My Family had 2 greta weeks at this vacation house in Hull. The house is old but very quaint, surrounded by a pond and the ocean across the street. We had a great time.

Even with the owner’s accurate description, this house was still a lovely surprise. If you appreciate older homes, this is a perfect place. Everything we needed was there, exactly where we thought to look, and everything was comfortable. The owner and caretaker were also very available, helpful, and accommodating. The view from the backyard is beautiful and there was furnished outdoor spaces for all of us to hang out and enjoy. I would not hesitate to book this house again. Thank you sharing your house.

We enjoyed the hospitality and thoughtfulness of the host and concierge, leaving treats on the table and flowers in every room. Very steep staircase, as advertised, and very old house. Great location, lovely beaches, beautiful pond - we saw egrets, swans, sand pipers, seagulls, Canadian geese and herons. A fun vacation.

This is a charming old beach house with a beautiful patio and view out back. When I arrived there was music playing and Prosecco and cookies on the table waiting for me - such a nice welcome! I wanted a little staycation and this is exactly what I needed! Jeff and Kathy were responsive and there were so many little touches around the house that made my stay enjoyable. Thank you for letting me stay, I hope to be back next summer!

We had an awesome time at “That Old House”! Kathy was there to meet us when we arrived (as were some Prosecco and goodies!) and was so gracious. The house was very clean and had absolutely everything we needed, even air conditioning which they’d installed the day before we arrived! We had beautiful weather while we were there, so were thankful for the AC. The house was well stocked and although we chose to visit the local restaurants rather than cooking dinners at the house, we certainly could have - it also had cards and games that our family played at night. We spent three of our five days going into Boston to see the sights, but on the other days enjoyed exploring the Hull area which is gorgeous. There were three beaches we could walk to easily which was fantastic! One day the neighbors came back to the house next door with a massive 23 lb fish they’d caught locally out on their boat - they were very friendly and we took lots of pics with their catch. Jeff the owner of this property was extremely friendly and responsive through our messaging. The house is oId but very well kept, and has such a cool history! I would highly recommend this property to anyone and look forward to renting it again, should we be returning to the Boston area! Thank you Jeff and Kathy for your hospitality!

Everything about our trip was great! We enjoyed the weather it’s been upper 80s and 90s where we live so the 60s and 70s were amazing. We went to Boston twice and Salem once. We love the little beach across the street and waking up to the view of the pond out back has been so nice. I love coming back to the old beach house after a long day of sight seeing! The whole family really loves the house! Kathy has been great we really appreciated all the little extra touches like the waters by the beds and the fruit and snacks on the front table! If we ever make it up north again we will for sure be trying to book your place again!
