We had as many as nine folks staying at the property at one time and as few as two of us, and the house was versatile enough to easily and comfortably accommodate our changing numbers. We easily could have had more friends/family join us. The two dogs present had a great time too! The space and property were as described in the listing and Peter was quite easy to work with. I/we would recommend this property to anyone looking for some peace and quiet, some incredible views, and some quality beach/lake time.

We had three generations staying at the Eagle house and everyone loved it. The house was great and property and lake were breathtaking. Owners were the most responsive and I formative I’ve ever had for a rental.

We took a family/friends vacation for relaxing and snowmobiling. The owners are absolutely amazing!! I really can not rave enough about them! The property is breathtaking and had everything they said and much more!! We have already started planning our return next year. We could never stay anywhere else!! Thank you so much!

We’re an extended family from Georgia who were looking for a winter wonderland escape the week after Christmas. What a gem we found in this place! The location cannot get any better. We were surrounded by beautiful snowy mountain views and perfect sledding hills. Stinson lake was frozen over and absolutely stunning. We spent most of our week playing in the snow and sledding around the house. We even saw moose tracks in the yard one morning! The cabin was perfect for our big family of 11. There’s a nice space upstairs where our children had the best time playing with their Christmas presents when they were exhausted from playing in the snow. The kitchen was well equipped and we very much enjoyed our time together in there. The drive to town was pleasant and not far. We enjoyed our trips to the coffee shop Aroma Joes. Our host, Peter, was great! He met us at the cabin after we were delayed a few hours as a result of our rental cars being given to someone else. He never once complained. He was friendly and gave us great information, like places to eat and where to ski. Fugaki’s Chinese restaurant is amazing! We also really enjoyed the Covered Bridge Farm to table restaurant as well. The roads to the cabin were maintained and our host had someone snow plow our driveway when it would snow heavier. We just really loved our time there. It couldn’t have been better.

We have rented several homes over the years. I can honestly say this was the best yet! Communication with Peter and Stephen was welcoming, informative and easy through the entire process. The location is absolutely beautiful. The house was perfect for our group - couldn’t have been any better. Plenty of space to spread out, all comfy mattresses, 3 bathrooms and stocked with anything you might need for a perfect vacation. We loved it and hated to leave. Totally awesome vacation - thank you for a wonderful week!!

The location was amazing and we lucked out with last of the good summer weather to enjoy the beautiful clean lake and surrounding activities. The house was mostly adequate for our needs, though had a few issues that Peter was very receptive to addressing.

This is a beautiful property overlooking Stinson lake. The house and yard are amazing. The house is spacious with enough room for our whole family (6 adults and 5 kids) to live comfortable together. The lake is clean and so refreshing and we had access to wonderful kayaks. We had an absolutely amazing get away!

Stinson Lake is a beautiful, pristine, lightly developed lake. Beautiful water and private beach, and includes some water toys. The walk down the hill to access the beach is a bit challenging for the very young, or anyone with mobility issues. For example we brought along 2 kayaks, but had to launch from the town lake access since the walk was too steep and slippery to carry them down, then paddle across. Property is rustic, and overall good, (not toddler proofed), and with a little TLC would be much better. The owners were easy to work with and very responsive, bringing a new toaster when one did not work. Sliding screen doors need replacing, and are supposed to be on order. Wifi and cell service a bit iffy, but it is the mountains, so a good getaway. Our group included 8 adults and 4 children. We had lots of room. We enjoyed local hikes, the Rumney General Store, the Polar Caves, and mountain biking in the area.

Spacious home with a great view and secluded location near a beautiful lake. If peace and quiet is your goal, you can't do better.

The house is well situated above Lake Stinson. It had plenty of space. We enjoyed the private beach and kayaking on the lake. The walk to lake is a bit long but manageable. In the evening we enjoyed the fire pit and star gazing.. The property is located near plenty of hiking trails.

We had a wonderful vacation. The location was perfect, with easy access to Franconia Notch Park, and the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. Great location for star gazing.

We spent a week at the Eagle House, with 3 generations of family - 12 people in all. The house was very nice with plenty of space for everyone. The deck, yard, and fire pit were all nice amenities that really added to our enjoyment. We also really enjoyed using the beach, but would caution that it is difficult to access for anyone with physical limitations since it does require a walk on a trail through the woods.

Great time was had by all in our Christmas week rental 2019. We really felt like we were in the woods. It was very private and we felt like we were on our own estate. The mountain and lake views from every room of the house were stunning. At one point, we had 4 generations of our family totaling 13 people ages 10 months to 80 years and 3 dogs. Plenty of room for all and all had comfy beds to sleep in. We had snow when we arrived and enjoyed renting snowshoes from Plymouth Ski Shop. They would not rent the xc skis since there wasn’t enough snow for that, so we tried something new. We were given the option by the owners to cut a tree on the property for our Christmas tree and although we didn’t end up doing it, I thought it was really cool to have that option. The house was clean and well provisioned. We were met by one of the owners when we checked in. He turned on the heat for us and gave us lots of suggestions for things to do! He answered all of our questions as well. We had one 50-degree day so we used the grill and firepit and admired the stars. They were so close and so bright-never seen anything like it. Some of the bunch did a lot of hiking and got plenty of exercise. Some of us did not and were equally happy! The city dogs really enjoyed having the place to room and although they all stayed close, they enjoyed the hikes and freedom to roam. We woke up on our last full day to some icy rain, but it did not stop us. It was so nice to have someone come and sand the property driveway. We weren’t going to venture out in the ice, but after the road was treated we did! I can imagine this is a great rental in the summer, too as the huge deck with bench seating was beautiful. We enjoyed breakfast at the Common Tavern and drinks in the upstairs bar there at night. The Last Chair Restaurant and Brewery was a lot of fun as well. We visited the Lucky Dog Tavern in Plymouth, too. We took a drive to No. Conway one day and Mount Cranmore, Moat Mountain Brewery, and the Settler’s Green outlets. So grateful to spend a week at this wonderful property and the owners could not have been more receptive or helpful.

My family and I and my dog had a great vacation. The highlights were definitely the lake and the boating. We also loved using the firepit and star gazing. The view from the house is spectacular. The house was plenty big for our guests. We also journeyed to the waterfall which was alot fun. The supermarket was not too far away so we were able to stock up when we needed to. Our Group wanted a relaxing break to get away and spend some time together. The Eagle House at Eagle Point was the perfect getaway. First off, the location is absolutely beautiful. While our group has spent a fair amount of time in the White Mountains, we weren’t familiar with the Rumney and Stinson Lake area of the White’s. We were so glad that we discovered this unknown slice of New Hampshire. The views of Stinson Lake and the surrounding Mountains from the property are spectacular. The growing Fall Colors just added to the splendor. The gorgeous sunsets followed by clear night skies treated us to spectacular star gazing. There were even shooting stars and Owl’s hooted back and forth. All this was enjoyed around a large, double ringed fire pit situated on the large open lawn. The Eagle House is situated up on a hill with incredible views of the lake and surrounding fields and mountains. The house itself was comfortable and spacious for our large group. It is a rustic home with knotty pine walls, an open concept kitchen, dining area and living room. The 7 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms gave us plenty of room. Great large screen TV with cable TV and wrap around coach and recliner made watching the Games or a DVD a pleasure. The Kitchen is well appointed and a second full size refrigerator was great given the size of our group. There is also a washer and dryer that was great to have after our daily activities. Two sliders lead out to a huge deck with a well designed wrap around seating area to relax on. The private beach on the lake was gorgeous. It was just a short walk down a wooded path. The sandy beach area has picnic tables, adirondack chairs, and another fire pit for the guests to use. There is also a private shed with life jackets. The water is pristine and we even enjoyed late season swimming along with fishing right from the shore. The owners were also able to hook us up with kayaks in addition to the canoe that is on site. Exploring the lake by canoe and kayak was a highlight. We spent our days hiking (there are trails right on and near the property), kayaking, fishing and sightseeing close by - there is so much to discover. We would come back to the Eagle House to cook on the grill, enjoy a cold drink together and build our camp fire. We had an absolutely perfect stay and definitely hope to visit Eagle Point again.

Very happy with the house plenty of room for 12. Nice quiet beach area. We had a great week.

The owners were very helpful, responsive, pleasant and accommodating. The house was clean and well kept. There was a little bit of a walk to the lake, but the kids enjoyed the "hike". The beach area was nice and we had access to their canoe which was fun. We really enjoyed the fire pit at the house and the star gazing was amazing (complete with frequent shooting stars). It was fun seeing all the wildlife including a mama bear and her 2 cubs. The "three ponds trail" was a nice trail for the kids to walk and was close to the house. We had a wonderful week!
