Those steps up to the apartment! Old people with knee and hip issues need not apply.

Our hosts Jean Francois and Maddie welcomed us with a drink. They were a delight. The courtyard is beautiful and the area very quiet and secure. The apartment was clean and comfortable with every need met. Having secure parking was a real bonus.

The stairs to the apartment are very steep. We only took the things we needed up to the apartment rather than taking up our bags...that worked well for us.

The property is exceptional for comfort and history buffs. The host is very helpful in all aspects, yet gives you space for privacy. The location is in the center of town, yet private.

Perfect location

Les Hortensias is a very nice, quiet location with a very friendly and helpsome host in the middle of Riquewihr. Riquewihr can be very crowded with tourists, but it is still quiet at this accomodation. There is a very nice open-air terras with kitchen in the court. We appreciated also very much the free use of mountain-bikes for bicycle trips to Ribeauvillé, Kaysersberg and Colmar.
