We stayed for the weekend to visit family. The cottage had everything you needed with beautiful views. It was very clean and felt covid safe.
One down side was when we booked and payed the check in times were different from advertised, it was and hour later to check in and hour earlier to check out, not a major issue but would have been nice to check out at 10 not 9 when we had a long drive home after a hectic weekend with family.

The location suited very well because we know there are some excellent beaches close by but The Knap at Barry was the one for us as long as we took the tides into consideration in the planning of our day we were able to enjoy the quiet beach and lovely parks close by without going into the busyness of Barry Island Resort and pleasure Park but was there if we chose to. Being able to come back to Dove cottage to enjoy a lovely countryside view with the quiet and calmness of the surroundings even though there were several properties around you you wouldn’t know they were there.. A very relaxing break
