ALL WAS VERY GOOD

The apartment was reasonably clean. Clean bathroom. Ground floor, I'm disabled.

Poor low standard furniture, the bed kept sliding in two and the smoke alarm bipped all night, we did report it. We didn't like that after you had booked you were then told they needed ID sending via phone and £100 holding fee which they kept for a week!

Great location

Dirty pots in cupboards. Smell of drains. Bugs/spiders. But the worst part, Bed bugs. Found a few of them in the bed. The mattress was disgusting. Reported bed bugs but only got offered a change of sheets. 2.5weeks later and I'm still suffering with the bites. I've stayed in many places and never once had a negative experience.

There is social housing within the same building and the residents loiter outside smoking cannabis. The hallways had this smell too. The toilet was brown and appears like it has never been bleached. Not child friendly at all. The woodwork above the door fell through and debris went into my daughters eye. The host did not seem concerned and advised that the debris is minimal and wouldn’t have caused harm. They declined a refund but offered the use of another property 5 mins away. This apartment was colder and did not have parking. However more spacious but floors hadn’t been swept and room full of dust, cobwebs and spiders. This building also had social housing residents. The keypad entry system is quite loud so would wake me up throughout the night when residents would come and go.

We spent 5 nights without changing the beddings

Location was fantastic! 5 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to the shops, and 5 minute walk to westcliff station! what more could one wish for except the weather, to have a perfect holiday!

Door of apartment is fitted with an electronic number lock, which wasn't alighned with the door, unfortunatly we got locked out the first night, so we had to drive back home to sleep! though credit to the managing agent who came to repair it promptly in the morning (well, midday). Parking was easy, but has to be paid for. It was a shame, not all the windows were operational, as it was quite stuffy. The replacement fridge/freezer was small but adequate.

Bed small, shower too small for rainforest shower head. Washing machine didn't work and flooded floor on day 1 due to being full of water. Bed sofa uncomfortable

Absolutely nothing. The place was a lie, schamm, rip off, and a filthy hole! Booking .com knows I did not stay there, and did absolutely nothing to resolve the situation, nor help me in any way, shape, or form! The pictures were all lies and deception. There was no tv, no internet, no ocean view, the bed was broken down, and the place reeked of cigarettes from people smoking. The pictures you see right here on this page are a deceptive lie! There was no stove, bathroom was a joke, and after finally locating the bldg. with the help of an emergency service worker, they demanded a cash deposit of $120.00 U.S. dollars to recieve a door code. Everyone that uses booking .com should read this review. I'm currently in dispute with their charges, I was flat out lied to, deceived, ripped off, and forced to rent a new hotel in Southend on Sea, England! The Westcliff Garden management has even lied thru their teeth as to the real scope of the situation when confronted with my numerous complaints. They lied to me for 3 days saying they would give me proper accomodations, knowing that I would eventually leave. They then told Booking.com that I simply refused the room that they offered and left. Booking.com is trying to make it look like they are not aware by sending this survey to me. I contacted them and the local Essex Police immediately upon seeing what I got burned for. It is all currently under investigation by the bank and other authorities. I will return to England to prosecute these thieves, and see to it that it never happens to someone else again! I also hold Booking.com directly responsible for the things that happened to me. I have pictures, and documentation of my experience while in England. My hoilday was ruined! I can tell you right here looking at these pictures of these supposed Westcliff Garden flats and studio apts. that they "are not" the apts. and flats I saw. It's all a set up, and a fraud.
