Die Kommunikation lief völlig unkompliziert und wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Die beschriebene Klimaanlage haben wir leider nicht gefunden, obwohl sie wirklich gut gewesen wäre. Die Fenster nämlich müssen nachts leider geschlossen bleiben: von der Park Av. laut dröhnt nämlich der Zugverkehr von der überirdischen Strecke der uBahn. Die Wohnung ist ansonsten wirklich toll und für 4 Personen gut geeignet. Rollos gibt es aber leider keine und auch die Türen können nicht leise geöffnet werden, was besonders nachts die Mitreisenden beeinträchtigt. Dem Rat, den Müll auf der Straße um die Ecke zu entsorgen sind wir aufgrund der 100$ Strafe nicht nachgekommen. Eigentlich ist die Reinigungsgebühr mehr als ausreichend, um den Müll nicht selbst entsorgen zu müssen.

Appartement très bien situé et très grand pour 4 personnes. Toutes les commodités sont à proximités. Accueil chaleureux. Magnifique séjour.

Verkehrsgünstig gelegen (Bus und U-Bahn), mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe, Einrichtung ist schlicht aber ausreichend. Preis-Leistung sehr gut. Wir würden wiederkommen. J.O. ist eine sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin.

Just spent three nights here. Jo met us at the unit to let us on and give us a run down on the unit and the area ( complete with a little dance). Everything we needed was there include the salt and pepper.

For NYC standards, this was a "huge" 2BR appartement, very clean and with all standard amenities you need to "live a normal life" 😉 ! Metrolines 3 and 6 are within reasonable walking distance ( 5 min) , so in 20 minuten you are in the middle of all the action! Owner very nice. He let us do our thing, so it realy felt like home! Very recommended.

We stayed at the this property for 4 nights and really loved it. The beds were comfortable, the space was neat and welcoming, and it was very conveniently located to the subway. We will definitely be back.

My Mom, girlfriend and I rented Philippe’s place for 4 nights over the NYC Marathon weekend. Philippe had a problem and couldn’t meet us at the apartment (he had lost his phone and was delayed while retrieving it) and asked that we meet him at a coffee shop around the corner...not problem and understandable but we were delayed about 1 hour waiting for him. We were all tired and hungry from traveling across country (from Vegas) and wanted shower and get something to eat. Have a back up plan for situations like this. It must be noted that Philippe is a very nice person and responded immediately to anything we asked for while staying at his place, this review is no reflection on him personally. As for the accommodations, they were exactly as they were described, no surprises. However, standard conveniences like a TV, coffee maker and a toaster are a must but are sadly lacking. I understand if the cost for cable TV is an issue but at least provide a smart TV that is capable of streaming Netflix or other streaming apps...there is internet connection in the apt so this shouldnt be a problem. Or provide a cost effective over the air TV antenna so local TV stations can be accessed. We went shopping at Whole Foods and bought coffee only to find out there wasn’t a coffee machine. It didn’t register with us that only a Kurig machine is available and we bought regular ground coffee. No toaster...sure we eventually made toast in the broiler section of the oven. For $50 on Amazon a coffee machine and toaster can be easily provided. Other minor issues like no toilet paper and no garbage bags was quickly resolved but attention to these details shouldn’t be missed when prepping the place for new visitors. Would I recommend Philippe again, yes for sure but perhaps more attention to detail and providing some basic conveniences as described would’ve given a 5 star rating.

Unlike a lot of NYC rentals, this apartment has sufficient room for four adults to relax. Phillipe's a good host and the neighborhood is safe, convenient and fun, funky even.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! We don't frequent New York often, but this was the perfect accommodation for us. The listing depicts the apartment exactly. It is warm, cozy, inviting, charming, and best of all... out of the hustle of the city. The apartment has plenty of space, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 sofas, and spacious bathroom. An Uber pool ride is relatively inexpensive even to the south end of Manhattan. Central park is in walking distance as well as several unique restaurants and bakeries. Philippe is very accommodating and welcoming. This is a great place for a steal! I would highly recommend.

The apartment is beautiful and very clean. Phillipe is extremely accommodating and we will 100% stay there again when we return to New York.

It's a large apartment in a nicely kept town house. Comfortable beds in two generously sized bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is also clean and nicely equipped. The host is friendly, open and flexible but not intrusive in any way. The area is pretty mixed demographically but not did feel dangerous to us (but we are from London and used to urban living). It's still relatively edgy but energetic, It's very close to central park and two subway stations to get to other parts of NY easily. I'd recommend it.

The place was very clean, clearly well maintained and had lots of light - which we loved! It was a great place to stay, convenient for getting around so it was an overall excellent base camp for our NYC adventure! Check in and out was quick and easy and both J. and Philippe were very responsive, friendly and always available to  answer questions at every turn.  We followed some of their local restaurant suggestions and had amazing meals. Highly suggested for an anytime visit to NYC, definitely a deal!
