What a beautiful piece of property nestled right on Branch Lake. The cabin was spacious with everything you need from home to enjoy your stay hassle-free. We took in all scenery, enjoyed some great hikes, cooled off in the lake, and filled up on fresh Lobster and blueberry pie. You don't want to miss out on an opportunity to stay at Flat Rock.

This cabin was a little sentimental piece of paradise right on the waters edge, that was full of character, warmth and charm. Communication responses were quick, honest and upfront. We will most certainly return again in the future.i

This property was a perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary and rest/recharge from our hectic lives. The cabin is located on the lake, with access to kayaks, fishing, or bringing chairs to flat rock to read and soak in the sun. The cabin is clean and well appointed, including the basics needed to cook a meal or shower after a day on the lake. The neighborhood is quiet, perfect place to get a restful vacation and a good night’s sleep. Communication with the renter was prompt and effective. I would not hesitate to book a stay at this property again.

I am so impressed at this property! It’s so serene and private. The checkin/out instructions, communication and contract were so thorough and appreciated. Waking up to the view of the lake every day has us feeling so restored. This property turned me into a morning person! I was so excited to get out in the kayaks every day. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs due to the heating unit in the main bedroom closet going on and off, but it didn’t bother us at all. I really appreciated the little touches too, like the dimming lights, the glider chair, the Keurig, the chairs outdoors, and in particular the memory book that has tips and fave activities from past guests. If I were describe Sheree's beautiful cabin in two words it would be 'Dream Home'. This stunning property is located next to Branch Lake; from the charming details to the large windows with scenic views it was nothing short of amazing! Our stay was absolutely wonderful, I hope to return sometime soon!

Super clean, well-equipped, comfortable. We loved kayaking. Just a bit tough to know exactly where to go in the dark, but we found it! Thank you for a wonderful time.

Flat rock was a wonderful stay in a cozy camp with an eclectic feel, like grandmas house but on a lake in Maine. Well-stocked kitchen and enough space to spread out for 4-6 people. We visited relatives in Ellsworth so the location was perfect, close to family and Acadia national park.

Beautiful cabin with all the amenities in perfect location! Host provided helpful information about sights to see and activities in the area. Will return next year.

We had a great experience. The house was beautiful and so well equipped, much better than other houses we've stayed at. The kitchen was well stocked, and we loved that there was plenty of games, puzzles, and books available. There was plenty of chairs to take out to the rocks and enjoy the lake. It was so peaceful there, and we really enjoyed our stay.

A+ overall, B on the AC system. It gas confusing remote control, and a too noisy motor at night.

A perfect girls getaway! Plenty of room…so nice to sit out on the rocks early in the morning and to watch the sunsets. Would love to stay here again sometime!!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The cottage had a rustic summer cottage feel, but we were in no way roughing it and was exactly what we look for when vacationing this time of year. Quiet, peaceful, away from it all but close enough to "civilization" to explore and enjoy all that Bar Harbor and Downeast Maine have to offer. The water pressure in the master shower was amazing and the master bed was pretty comfortable. The location and view are to die for! The lack of light pollution made for the perfect conditions to sit out by the lake in our reclining lounge chairs we brought with us and watch for meteors (I think we saw about 8!). This is definitely a place we would love to come back and stay when we have more time. Thank you for the refreshing get away! Michelle & Chuck

This cabin on the lake was a perfect home away from home. It had everything you needed, views were spectacular and location was great!

Loved loved our stay at Flatrock. The house has a sweet story of how it has been in the family since 1940. What marvelous updates that have been done to the cabin. It was so comfortable and a great place to hang out. The scenery y was unbelievable between the fall leaves, the sunset and the blueberry fields and apple orchards. Great place to run on the country roads.

So happy we chose this for our visit to Bar Harbor! After busy days shopping or hiking in Acadia, this was the perfect relaxing retreat to come home to! It’s beautifully done on the inside with everything you might need, and absolutely beautiful views of the lake from throughout. I can only imagine the fun this place would be in the summer months swimming, boating and fishing! The owner was thoughtful and attentive. If you’re looking for a great place, don’t hesitate!

Loved our time on the lake 25 miles from Bar Harbor. Evening cocktails on Flat Rock watching the sunset was the best! House fully equipped!

We loved our stay at flat rock! What you see in the pictures is what you get in person. View of the lake was amazing from our house. Sheree was great to communicate with. Always a quick response from her! Their home was nice and cozy, clean and well stocked for your needs! It was close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, about a forty minute drive. Would definitely stay here again when we venture back to Maine!!!

Renting this property was easy and painless. The process was straightforward. I had questions for the hosts and they answered them within a day. I would highly recommend this spot and would go back in a heart beat. It was wonderful!

If you enjoy remote locations, blueberry fields and diverse sunsets, this is the rental for you! The owners care for this home and it shows, it’s camp and a comfortable one! We had 6 people total for half the rental and were not on top of eachother. It’s absolutely magical for kids! A great fishing spot too! We’d not only recommend but love to return.

This was one of the best family vacations we have ever taken and could not have asked for a better host and a better place to stay!! Sheree was extremely attentive and responsive to every question I had prior to the trip, as I was doing a lot of planning in preparation for our visits to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. As soon as we got to Flat Rocks my husband said to me, "this is spectacular, great job honey!" The cabin is absolutely beautiful in all of it's touches and decor with stained glass and woodwork and most importantly those windows overlooking the lake!! The flat rocks are just feet away and was the highlight of this cabin, sometimes the water was still and serene and sometimes the the water would lap onto the rocks and make the most soothing effect as you sipped coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Our boys (12 and 14) loved kayaking, wading, and fishing here! They also loved having separate bedrooms! This cabin and location is tucked away under the trees and provided us so much peace and quiet amongst the beautiful surroundings, at times it felt like we were the only ones there, but yet we were close enough to all the necessities. Flat rocks was our favorite part of the trip to just enjoy the solitude and fully relax looking out onto the lake listening to the sounds of nature. We enjoyed day trips to Bar Harbor, Winter Harbor, ANP where we hiked, played at Sand Beach, took a fabulous Nature Cruise to see puffins, seals and lighthouses, shopped, and ate. We enjoyed lobster rolls and blueberry pies, the best ever! In the evening it was just so relaxing to come back to the cabin and unwind from a full day and have the lake to enjoy, specifically those sunsets!! They are breathtaking! The kitchen has everything you need to cook and the cabin is super clean and very well organized. The town of Ellsworth was just a hop, skip and a jump away and was perfect for groceries, exploring antiques, and eating! The Steamy Buddha Cafe was quaint and so delicious!! Get the Buddha BLT and homemade gazpacho (soup of the day)!! It was hard to leave this beautiful cabin and lake and we all agreed we would love to come back! Thank you Sheree for making our first family trip to Maine so memorable and wonderful!!

We enjoyed our stay at Flat Rock on Branch lake so much that we already booked for next summer! Beautiful camp modernized with attention to detail and lovely view of the lake from almost every window. The most relaxing vacation we've had in a long time watching beautiful sunrises on flat rock with morning coffee and enjoying lovely sunsets with an adult beverage. The loons were also a plus!

I can't say enough good things. We drove up from NYS and was looking forward to a relaxing few days in a cute home. Well, our expectations were exceeded! The home was beautiful, well provisioned, and so comfortable. The sheets and towels were so luxurious and everything was spotless. We love the location on the lake, so private! and yet so close to everything we needed. We can't wait to come back for a longer time next time! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home.

The property was beautiful! So much more than a “cabin in the woods”. The bed was luxurious, the kitchen was equipped with all the comforts of home (with the possible exception of a dish washer-which makes perfect sense and was not an issue). The lake was magnificent, the home was peaceful and the location was perfect at about equidistant to Bangor and Bar Harbor. Sheree and Jason were great hosts-very considerate and easy to reach and talk to. Highly recommended; we can’t wait to go back!
