Beautiful home with a beautiful view! Perfect host with great communication. Enjoyed fishing and kayaking. Perfect vacation house for family! Wish I could move in!

The house is large and comfortable enough to accommodate our whole family. The kids "dormitory" downstairs adds to the camping experience for the little ones. We fished, canoed, went to the beach near by and had a great time. We plan to be back next year.

Weekend fishing with friends and family. House was great, nice, clean and spacious. Location is absolutely wonderful. Fishing was so-so, but overall -- great experience with this rental. Would definitely stay here again. Son-in-law made note of the address to book a stay with his fishing buddies.

Everything was good and as stated in the listing. The only disappointment was the cleanliness of the property.

After a short issue with the lock on the property the rest of the weekend went without incident. As the pictures show the view of the water and adjacent state preserve are spectacular. Kitchen is nicely outfitted and plenty of seating space for our family of 8 including the girlfriends. Downstairs sleeping arrangements are also nicely done. We didn’t use the grill this trip but it is there for your use and the kayaks make a great morning and evening fishing opportunity. All around we will certainly return in the spring!

For some of us, the stay was great, but for others, not so great. The up stairs contains a living area with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, kitchen and living area. It was great! The downstairs had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom along with a small kitchen counter, washer and dryer and fridge. The downstairs had a window unit and a portable air conditioner, which leaked huge amounts of water on the floor the entire time. The fridge reaked of shrimp wich permeated the whole room. There were also 2 dehumidifiers that had to be emptied about 4 times a day. But what was really wrong with this room was that it had a very, very strong Raid smell. So much that if you spent any amount of time down there, your lips would burn from the chemicals. They must have set off a bomb right before we got there. Even the comforters smelt of Raid. If you used the washer, it made such a loud sound that you honestly couldn't have a conversation with it running. The bottom foor was a miserable mess. This house should not be listed as a 5 bedroom home. More like a three bedroom home with a basement to store fishing equipment. We were told that the bottom floor would have a musky smell and that we needed to open the door and let the air conditioner run for about 20 minutes. Never smelt a musky smell, just Raid. So if you were fortunate to get the upstairs, you were comfortable! However, not so comfy for those downstairs.

Our daughter was getting her white coat from UTMB and we were able to come together for the ceremony and stay for a vacation. We had 12 adults and a 5 year old. Everyone had a bed! The upstairs is truly luxurious and comfortable. Downstairs is functional. We sent the youngest daughter and her friends down there. They could stay up a little later so that was nice. The location is perfect. Some of us easily went to the beach and some stayed at the house with kayaks and a float and some fished and set crab traps. There are games, beach toys, and life jackets. The kitchen is very well stocked. There is a lot of room for family games inside and out. We had a very nice stay!
