Comfortable for our family lots of room to spread out. Enjoyed the views, quick access to the beach, beach toys in the garage. Lots of stairs in the house, we didn't mind, just a heads up. Trouble figuring out the pool and hot tub because it self cycles. In the mornings hot tub would be half empty. Took some time to understand the TV remotes. Jets in master tub don't work, window blinds on main level don't work. Would be nice to have a garage opener.

This house has the perfect location and an amazing pool and hot tub. Access to the beach was just out the side gate. Multiple ice makers made life easy for drinks and coolers for the beach/pool. The only suggestion I would have is to invest in a new couch/sectional for the main floor living room. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful home, great location, lots of room. Air conditioning was marginally effective, internet had to be reset almost daily, one of two wine fridges could not cool below 58 degrees, electric blinds in living room could not be lowered and one was halfway down could not be raised. With the exception of two lightbulbs in kitchen which were burned-out and were not replaced even four days after reported, maintenance was responsive. Unfortunately, many issues were owner concerns beyond what maintenance could correct. Overall it is a good home, but it is overpriced based on concerns listed above.

Great location and great fun! Will return next year! The only negative was one of the gate Gaurds was rude to my son in law who came in the next day.

Nice, large home that was perfect for our adult children and grandchildren. Gated community and easy check-in process. Private pool for relaxing after a day at the beach. Large kitchen with plenty of cook ware and multiple coffee makers. Our family really enjoyed our stay!

property was great but I had invited a guest to come over from McAllen for dinner one evening and the HOA rules prohibits a renter from having ANY GUESTS!!!

Nice home to spend 2 months in, beachfront gated community and quiet.

Following are pluses. Large oceanfront house. Convenient to beach. Walk out side gate to beach access. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Large living areas on first and second floor. Kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils. Two dishwashers were great. Ice maker in kitchen was a benefit. Plenty of beach chairs, sand toys, kites, etc. Several negatives. The home booklet was missing. Needed to have maintenance come out to instruct on the use of the electronics and wifi access. Remotes needed new batteries. Several wine coolers were not working. The ice maker on first floor not working. Oven needed to be cleaned. Built in microwave not working. Dishes and glasses misplaced and chipped. Wear and tear issues with all the utensils. Great views of the beach from sitting areas, but could not see out thru the dirty windows. Don't think they have been cleaned in months, or maybe a year. Rugs needed to be cleaned in all areas of the home. Sectional on second floor in disrepair. Potential slipping issue on steps due to glazed tile/marble flooring.

My siblings & I decided to take our parents on vacation. This was a great location for us to spend time together in one house. Most of our time was spent on the patio & in the hot tub or around the large dinning room table eating together. We all enjoyed our time this week! I do wish there would have been a "guest book" to write about our time at the house & also read about others who were there before us.

The house, pool, and location on the beach was awesome. SPI rentals did a great job responding to several issues that we had in the house. The house needs several repairs that the owner of the house should take care of asap.

This was such a great experience we rented on the weekend and Friday they had a fireworks show on the beach! Everything was so nice. To be able to wake up to view from the house no matter where you are in the house was a great view! Will be renting again! Thank you!

The property is well located on the island and within the community being closest to the beach entrance. However, the property was FILTHY - and I mean filthy. It is clear that whoever cleans this property does the absolute bare minimum of putting out towels and bedsheets only. There were food smears on the counter and furniture. The rugs have visible food, beverage and other stains and smears never cleaned. There was hair EVERYWHERE. Even the outside is given no care in comparison to the properties next to it. The pool area wasn't kept up, everything was old, unclean, and disgusting. DO NOT WASTE MONEY STAYING IN THIS HOUSE.

Great location, right next to walkway to beach. Heated pool with hot tub was awesome. Very roomy, everyone had own space. Starter packs of soaps/detergents/paper was more than enough. Only downside was internet did not work at all. We didn't complain as we were on the go a lot, and kids able to use phones as hot spots to do homework. Close to shops and attractions.

We really loved almost everything about this property! The pool was amazing! The house was incredibly spacious! The beach was only steps away! The biggest complaint was that most of the tv remotes had dead batteries. We would definitely stay here again!

This home is the perfect spot for a large group. The location is excellent and the house is large. There is definitely some deferred maintenance . The bedding and towels are worn and tattered,The pool was filthy etc. SPI did respond to the pool issue. The one big thing is, the floors are beautiful but they are dangerous when wet, even a melted ice cube can be a hazard. Our group was all adults, we weren't running thru the house and three of our group slipped and fell, be careful. All in all, with some maintenance this would have rated excellent.

Beautiful home in a great location. No complaints

This beautiful, huge home has everything you need. It looks right out into the beach. It’s in a very secure location and also close to many attractions.

We had a great stay at 6500 beach drive. Let me start off by the not so great things first. I had put down when we booked that we have 11 guests. The ad states it can sleep 12. So all of us besides my husband (he was flying in the next morning) arrived at SPI rentals to get the keys. They were very kind, and led us to the security guard to get in the gates to the house. The security guard came out and asked how many people we have in the car for wrist bands. We had 2 different cars so I told him 5 in ours and 5 in the one behind us. I let him know we would have our last one flying in in the morning. He told me that they are only allowed to give 10 wristbands and that my husband would not be allowed in and they absolutely cannot give him one. I said “we booked this house and put 11 people down on our contract. It clearly states it can sleep 12... what do you mean you cannot let my husband in!!!” I'm sitting there in shock. This is our 1 vacation that we are able to take for the entire year, just spent a bunch of money on this house for you to tell me now that when we get there you cannot let our 11th family member (my husband) in. He went back to our other car behind us to give them the wristbands and I was sitting there just baffled and in shock on what I am going to do. I looked up on my email the contract with SPI just to be sure I had put 11 guests. Sure enough, I did. I looked up and made sure it said up to 12 guests and sure enough it did. Finally he comes back up to my car and he asked if the rental company knew we had 11 and I said YES. He asked if my husband would be the last one coming and I said YES. He said he would go ahead and let this “slide” and give him a wristband when he arrived in the morning but really he shouldn't be allowed. It was a huge sigh of relief that I never should of had to go through in the first place. He said there was a new HOA rules and that was one of them. They should have been clear with this from the get go as this situation could have turned in to ruining our entire vacation. That was the worst thing I have to say about this experience which was not a good way to start our trip. As that was all cleared up and we arrived to the house it was excellent! The house was clean, and the views were incredible. The pool and hot tub were a huge plus as well. Would have been nice to use the fire pit but they said it is not in our contract and we could not use. Kitchen was well stocked and VERY spacious! The Tv on the 2nd floor bedroom in the very back would not work (the tv worked just not the cable) so that was a bummer but not the end of the world! Our family really enjoyed this house and all of the things that came with it. Beautiful views and being right on the beach was amazing!

Do forget to park your car in the drive way are the guard will bang on you door at 1 in the morning with butt of his flash light as if you had committed the unpardonable sin. Other than that nice place to stay.

As always, all SPI employees that assisted me were helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. I was also very appreciative you allowed me to have our umbrellas delivered to your office. Our house was in great condition and very clean when we arrived. Thank you!

SPI Rentals personnel was efficient and polite. However, they seemed to be understaffed so delayed responding to calls. The house itself was well stocked and had plenty of room. The two bedrooms on the main floor (2nd level) were never cool enough. Dining chairs need deep cleaning as do sofas and sofa pillows. But generally, the service was very good and the house, pool, and beachfront views were all lovely.

This property was amazing and so glad the owners shared their own for VRBO. The layout with all the bedrooms, kitchen, bar and pool was incredible. While it was too cool to enjoy the pool, just to see it and the ocean in the background was great. Would definitely stay here again.

The location of this home is excellent. The gated community was a great safety factor we weren't expecting. The home was unbelievable - so many bedrooms, bathrooms, pool area! However, there were COCKROACHES on every floor. The comforters on the beds and rugs on the floor appeared dirty and should be cleaned. We were planning to grill some of our meals - the very old, rusty grill did not work - even with a new tank of gas. It needs to be tossed out. due to the cockroaches and cleanliness, we would not return to this rental.

SPI was quick to respond when called, very courteous and helpful employees.

House is amazing- huge- has all you need and location is sweet- also being in a guarded area was nice thought it was going to be a hassle but security was awesome. a few things hose needs are all the locks to outside doors fixed... there is a gas fire place out on patio that would have been nice to have access to as weather was cold a couple days- pool and hot tub were awesome- all in all if you are looking for big house to get the family together this is a good one Craig

This home was great for our family of 10. There is a lot room for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. It has everything you need to cook meals. We were there for 6 days and only ate out 1 meal. The pool and the hot tub were used a lot and there was room for us to play games and everyone could play at one table. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Very comfortable for our whole family to be together, love the open layout and views. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. I would also like to have washcloths in the bathrooms and kitchen, a small bottle of liquid dish soap and also laundry soap provided. We will certainly rent this home again!
