This house is a true gem of a find, it is comfortable and a home from home in the middle of an amazing city. Everything is you need is provided in such a stylish way, it is a wonderful flat to spend time in and watch the world go by on the balcony, from morning coffee to an evening beer. This flat is a great base to explore the Island, as well as get to know Heraklion which has a fascinating history and so many places to go to.

Amazing appartment with a great location. But the real gem is the owner, George, who is super helpful and provided us with many greats tips and accomodations during our stay. I would highly recommend this appartment to any one spending a few days in Heraklion

George is an amazing host, attentionate, professional, and he made us feel at home. The appartment is HUGE, ideally located to visit Heraklio, and is very nicely decorated. The perfect deal!

The place is very nice, but the host is wonderful. Greek hospitality at it utmost expression.

This place is amazing! If youre looking at it, you should book it. We were 3 adults but the place is very big and can accommodate 5 adults and a baby easily. The kitchen, the bathroom, the whole house was very clean, everything is just as advertised. And the host George is great too! We were delivered very clear instructions on check in and check out, how to use facilities at the home, nearby parkings for our rental car and some amazing restaurant recommendations. And a great welcome package! It couldnt have been better, we absolutely fell in love with the place and we won't stay anywhere else next time we're in Heraklion!

This “home away from home” was so comfortable and in such a great location. The owner is easy to communicate with and has great suggestions for dining and sightseeing. We wish we would have stayed longer!!

Place was amazing, easy to find really central . apartment is really big, we barely used living room, but it was great to have that option, with big mirror and nice decorations it’s a very cozy place to spend the evening. Our host was extremely friendly and amazingly helpful with all our requests.

Very friendly host, quick in communication. Easy check in / check out. We felt very welcomed by all the little extra’s (food and drinks, maps, games to play, Netflix) Perfect location in the center of lovely Heraklion. The apartment was comfortable and very spacious. Nice and quirky, which I love. Do not expect total silence in the night since you’re right in the center of town.

Fantastic location, it manages to be very central and completely quite at night because of no cars being able to drive in the streets next to the apartment. We stayed in Crete for 2 weeks and stayed here whilst in Herakleion, was really lovely to have a home feeling rather than another hotel. The apartment is beautiful with a balcony you can sit on to people watch. The owner was lovely and left some really helpful information, tried various of the places he reccomended and all were amazing and allowed you to avoid over priced tourist food! We were a couple and loved it, if you had kids this would also be a fantastic place to stay.

We had such a nice time in this lovely flat and great area in old town Heraklion. Couldn’t be more centrally located for what we wanted to do, the flat was much larger than expected, and George was so helpful with suggestions and anything we needed. We’d definitely recommend this place to others going to Heraklion!!

Besides the fact, that apartment is right in the middle of the old town, Tavernas, restaurants - all are just around you - the apartment is huge, well decorated, stylish, good equipped, balcony - wow - that is great. Just add one more table with 2 chairs... And owner communication, welcome gifts - are just outstanding! Definitely, that is a place where to return!

The apartment location is very convenient and at walking distance from the city centre and the port. Great restaurants and coffee shops close by. The flat itself was vey clean and well equipped.

This apartment is a place of the first impression in Heraklion that sets the mood of all vacations. A magical place, authentic, made with big love, place that is full of details, which give the impression that it was you who were expected here! And immediately you fall in love with the city - noisy, lively, ancient, with all its gloss and garbage. Because you were waited here! Big thanks to George for his brilliant hospitality, willing to help in all questions, for left goodies, as we arrived late evening and it was so helpful that we didn't have to go anywhere and already have little evening meal and wine! Apartment turned to be even better than we hoped! Every detail was nice and interesting. I'm in love with the furniture - tables, chairs, chest, cupboard. And this long long balcony is just love!!! I guess I was sitting there half a night and just watched the center of the city, its night life, walking people. I can recommend this apartment from all my heart, everyone will like to live here, I'm sure)

The location was everything. Right in the heart of the bustling city, allowing us to explore with ease and have everything easily accessible. Apart from that, the decoration is wonderfully nostalgic and the owners were among the most considerate we've ever stayed with. They had everything, from breakfast materials to an amazing array of coffee/tea options to a fully stocked double bathroom. Constantly available via message or phone, the owner made our stay incredibly easy and stress-free. To top it off, his suggestions for places to visit or eat and drink and the artistic map of the old city we received as a gift were amazing!

There's nothing not to like, as long as you understand that it's the centre of a very old city. There is some dampness and smell to be expected. However, the owners have done a fantastic job of keeping it clean and smelling fresh!

We liked especially the great location, the huge salon and the long terrace. The owner have us great tips on where to eat, for which we are grateful

The flat being the dance studio in the past has it's genius loci and it is obvious the owner has some very personal bits and pieces in his flat which makes it cosy. Top location!

The location was perfect, in the city center. The house is so nice and so artistic, the owner has fantastic tastes. It is truly unique and with a huge balcony, great area with everything. The goodies offered by the owner were very well received and I cannot wait to come back and stay in Artistic Gateway Home. Thank you so much!!!

Amazing place in the middle of everything! We had an amazing stay, George went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He even let us check in early in the morning with no extra costs. The flat is even bigger than it appears on the pictures. Couldn’t recommend it more!
