Beautiful neighborhood. Beautiful home. Not in walking distance to downtown Pasadena. Otherwise, everything was great. Marla, is a gracious host.

We stayed at this beautiful home for eight days with my family to attend my daughter’s college graduation. This home is complete with all amenities and much more beautiful than described on VRBO. Marla is very helpful. We needed shower chair and mini food grinder for my mom and she arranged it on very short notice. I would like to stay in this home when visiting Pasadena in future.

The VRBO description by the lovely owner is 100% accurate and in reality even better. The home has so much character, in a fabulous location to experience an amazing city, and all the recommendations for dining were spot on. The beds were very comfortable. It seemed very spacious. Our reason for visiting Pasadena was to visit the Huntington Library and Gardens. Gorgeous. We hiked the Eaton Canyon waterfall trail very near and loved the Gamble House - a premier Arts and Crafts home. Ate in Old Pasadena 4 times - MiPiacci was our favorite. Enjoyed shopping in the Lake St. area. Loved just driving around looking at the historic architecture. I've stayed in many VRBOs and this ranks at the top.

This property is just beautiful and Marla was very communicative. She even decorated the house for Easter! She had breakfast for us in the refrigerator because we arrived so late the night before. The neighborhood is beautiful and very walkable. Everything was perfect for our Easter stay and was enjoyed by all!

It is hard to be away from home at the holidays, but this VRBO owner of the English Cottage in Pasadena created such a magical winter wonderland with holiday decorations, we felt right at home. Her well-stocked kitchen gave us all the utensils we needed to bake our favorite Christmas cookies and our holiday traditions for our meals. The neighborhood was very safe for walks even in the evenings and there were lots of shops in the area to grab our essentials. The view of the mountains out the front window was breathtaking and the backyard had plenty of area to sit and chat surrounded by loaded fruit trees. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Marla had everything to make our stay as easy as possible. Arrival was super easy and the keyless entry meant we didn't have to worry about carrying (or losing) the key.
Since we arrived late, she anticipated we wouldn't have time to shop and had a few breakfast essentials in the fridge.
The furniture was all comfortable, towels plentiful and Marla herself was incredibly responsive to any questions.
And unlike at home, we didn't run low on toilet paper... Thank you

The home was adorable, even decorated with Christmas adornments and lights. The location was amazing in a very quiet neighborhood and within a 20 minute car ride to everything Pasadena has to offer.

My husband and I had a wonderful 3-day stay at this beautiful Pasadena English Cottage. We were as comfortable as we would have been in our own home. Upon arrival we unpacked some food that we had brought up with us and we were surprised that the refrigerator had some snack food, bagels and water ready for us to eat and drink. The little dining area, complete with a coffee bar, was just perfect for our morning coffee.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, serving dishes, silverware, cookware and anything else you might need for your stay.
The outdoor back yard was so beautiful that we ate a couple of meals on the patio table underneath a gorgeous avocado tree.
We had never rented a VRBO property before and we would certainly seek this cottage out again the next time we visit the Pasadena area. But most important, the owner of the cottage was a delight to work with and was very informative of anything that we might need during our stay. A must visit when staying in Pasadena!

What can we say that has not already been said?! This home is beyond beautiful and located in a gorgeous neighborhood! As for the lovely Miss Marla, such a wonderful and caring lady!
We loved everything about our stay and could not have asked for a better host! My mother, sister and I will always cherish the time we spent here together! It was great waking up, having our coffee, going for walks before heading out then knowing we'd be coming back to such a beautiful, tranquil and safe place to rest.

The Charming Pasadena English Cottage was just that. Big enough for our family, warmly decorated, and comfortable. Marla, our host, was easy to communicate with and made every aspect of the stay simple. We were back and forth to events in Eagle Rock and Pasadena and the parking and easy access to the freeway were a plus. A wonderful experience in every way.

The cottage was 100% prime Pasadena! It was perfect for our family of five. Marla gets the the details right, down to a bowl of Halloween candy for our kids. The kitchen was stocked with nice, fresh provisions. The house was immaculate and comfortable. The back yard patio was truly gorgeous. I could not have been more pleased with our stay.

Charming English Cottage is the best description for this home. Everything was wonderful and welcoming, from the fresh flowers in the home, to the breakfast foods left for us, to the comfy beds and sitting areas. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful and close to old Town Pasadena. Hard to pick a favorite part, but coffee on the back patio amongst roses and fruit trees could not be beat.

We were visiting LA and nearby area and had a great stay at this place. The house is charming and spacious enough for a family of five to spread out. Also this house is fully stocked (even all the emergency stuff like flashlight). Marla was a caring host and she was prompt with responses at all times. Highly recommend!

The house is perfect for family ... so well-appointed with everything you need to cook and stay. Thanks for the goodies to get us through the first couple of days. Keurig and drip, electric kettle, all the pots and pans. Great, safe neighborhood and lots of walking available. Close to groceries and restaurants.

Super quick stay to visit with friends and family since the pandemic. The house location was central to everyone and all the great nearby restaurants made it a perfect stay. Everyone enjoyed it, and found the house so cute and clean. Super friendly neighbors too!

I have stayed at a lot of VRBO properties and they are usually very nice, but this one was extraordinary. The house was well appointed...we had everything we needed. And the owner left us a few treats to start the day! The house is adorable and the garden is exquisite. I took pictures of the flowers they were so beautiful.
The Owner was also very responsive. A wonderful way to spend Mother's Day weekend.

What an amazing rental experience! This home is even more beautiful than the photos, is in a lovely neighborhood with well kept homes, has a great view towards the mountains, and there are parrots in the street trees! The furniture is all super comfy and there is a lovely patio and garden out back. Our dog loved it too!
The host is by far the best we have experienced. Breakfast items, fruit, and an amazingly good avocado were left in the fridge for us. As we were there for Easter, there was cute Easter decor and baskets of candy - yum! The kitchen has everything and there is a full pantry with anything else you might need. Tons of soaps and cleaning supplies and a fresh kitchen sponge too. The bathrooms are stocked with soaps and shampoos and other grooming essentials and all done in a super stylish way.

We enjoyed our stay at this warm, inviting home. Our flight to LAX was delayed. Marla was easy-to-reach and helpful. She left the lights on for us.
The home is located in a safe, historic neighborhood on a tree-lined street. It is a classic California cottage-style home with modern amenities. When we arrived, a sitting porch welcomed us. It opened to a stylishly decorated living room with a fireplace and a view of the San Gabriel mountains. A spacious dining room connects the living room and kitchen. Vases of fresh flowers were a nice touch. The kitchen is well-equipped. I appreciated this since I like to cook. Breakfast items were in the refrigerator. There was a kitchen nook with a coffee bar, a pleasant spot for dining. Sleeping was quiet and comfortable. There was ample closet space. It can sometimes be difficult to figure out an unfamiliar TV, but not here; there were instructions for each remote and we had no problems. I noticed that the TV room closet was filled with games and puzzles. The TV room has French doors that open to the backyard. The backyard is like a private oasis complete with lemon, avocado, and orange trees. The back patio has comfortable seating, a perfect spot to relax with a cocktail.
This charming home exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully stocked. Marla is a gracious host. The location is fabulous! It is a great home base for exploring Pasadena. For us, it was a wonderful place to visit with family. If you are looking for a special place to stay, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND this home.

The house itself is utterly charming, beautifully furnished and decorated, with a working fireplace—it seemed like a labor of love, not an empty box minimally furnished with Ikea products. It was immaculate, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, from bagels and yoghurt for breakfast to coffee, and snacks, to laundry detergent, shampoo and body wash. You can even pick oranges from the tree in the backyard and make your own juice. The owner was helpful and easy to reach. Highly recommended!

The pictures were perfectly accurate but do not reflect the super coziness, and the attention to comfort, decor and charm of this lovely 2 bath / 2 bedroom cottage. We utilized the sleeper sofa as well and it was of a very high quallity. The kitchen had literally everything a good cook would require. Breakfast nook made nice little office space. Everything we needed was there. Our hostess was marvelous. It was a quiet neighborhood of well kept houses of similar style. Just a perfect stay overall.

Marla‘s home was absolutely gorgeous. The furniture and decor was beautiful and in line with the time period of the home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we needed. The home is located in a beautiful part of Pasadena on a gorgeous street. We couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable and clean home to stay in. Quiet neighborhood close to parks and Metro. Kitchen was well equipped with amenities. I enjoyed picking oranges from tree in backyard and making fresh juice. Owner Marla was very responsive to my questions.

Owner met us at cottage and apologized for cleaning not quite done. Older home with much charm. Kitchen very adequate except for extremely dull knives. Comfortable beds and bathrooms very adequate. Excellent location. Only two miles to downtown or CalTech. Would stay again. Surprised at the poor locks; must have little crime in Pasedena.

Great house in a great neighborhood
We spent a week in Marla's house along with our dog Ivy. We enjoyed the neighborhood with the beautiful homes and quiet streets. Walking Ivy was a real pleasure for all of us and the yard was a favorite for all.
We enjoyed our meals at the table in the kitchen because of the light and neighborhood view and Marla left plenty of breakfast items for us.
The pictures are accurate. Marla upgraded the gate at the end of the driveway at some point and it's very secure for anyone concerned about keeping their pet contained.
Highly recommended. We would stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The house was perfect for us. We were visiting the area looking at schools and houses and getting to know Pasadena. The house was older, but nicely furnished and located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Marla was very helpful and responsive. We had everything we needed.

This charming home is beautifully decorated. Many fine touches. The owner generously filled the refrigerator with orange juice, eggs, cinnamon bread, yogurt, eggs, milk. Each drawer had helpful items: baggies, silver foil, szissors.
The homes on the block are lovely and well cared for.
We would highly recommend this home.

This property was perfect! Charming quiet and located perfectly to our needs. Our host Marla was wonderful, answering all my quirky questions and just being super attentive. This was truly a perfect trip for us and I will definitely stay here again!
