Its a homely place. Thinking of an expensive place to live and party, but at an affordable way, its Bella Vista. Its in Grand Baie, one of the party places of Mauritius. The staffs are coordial. The set up is amazing, just beside the beach. Sea view rooms are too good. Most importantly, on the day we were leaving, for our journey, they gave a water bottle. For free definitely. And please note, everything is costly in Mauritius. So, its the gesture that will keep this place going and will definitely recommend to others. If I go next time, Bella Vista for sure.

The restaurant is only Chinese and breakfast very limited with only an omelet every day.

The sea view was very good, and the fact that you can hear the ocean waves from your room. Also liked the fact that the hotel provided sun beds just outside the hotel on the beach if requested. Staff were friendly. Restaurant and bar available, but only until 10pm. However, there are some great restaurants/bars next to the hotel.

Rooms need some maintenance. Been neglected for too long. Had to change rooms three times for various problems. Also rooms not cleaned very well. A shame as this hotel has a great location. Just not enough attention to the maintaining of the rooms.

First of all, hope you read this carefully. This info is up-to-date. I am a hotel owner from Finland and know that sometimes there are minor issues when running a hotel. I have travelled in over 60 countries and this is the first time to write truly bad review. I have been to local guest houses and also hostels. We came yesterday late in the evening to this place and were very tired. Nobody had cleaned the room for us: sheets were stained, floors were dirty with bugs, bathroom messed by previous customer. Also the property is actually about 1 km from the premium location where they show to be on booking.com (photo) The manager Kisha is ignorant on having any chat or improving or settling anything. We needed to leave earliest thing in the first morning even though we had booked longer stay . I understand lots of small issues, but this kind of dirtiness and underestimation of customer I have never experienced in hundred of places I have stayed around the world. If you find any other places even with a way more higher price I suggest you to avoid this place. The first thing you see when you arrive is carps at the small pond by the reception. They are struggling for their life. Also truly sad was the 10 year old boy who was beated by the relative behind the bar counter. This is my true advice. Please avoid if possible.
