Absolutely exceptional in all respects. Luxurious and sophisticated; this is a treat worth saving up for! Terrific staff, superb dining, extremely relaxing…

would have liked a map of sites and dining options around the island to have been provided at check-in. the same applies to information on bicycle hire from the adjacent hotel….

the view and room size with the private onsen the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. especially ayako and a gentlemen forgot his name those two were amazing and made the stay wonderful. also the dinner that was served was exceptional.

the public bath at night was a bit scary. there were spiders hanging off the roof. at first hard to tell because it was dark.

The staff make the difference in this place: the GM, the chefs, the restaurant staff, the spa attendants… everyone is extremely kind and will do everything to make your stay extremely pleasant and comfortable. Dinners were wonderful surprises, great quality food every night, with extremely kind chefs who did everything they could to surprise and delight. The sommelier made us appreciate Japanese wines (a first, after 4 years in Japan). The GM was extremely kind and helpful and organised all excursions (ebikes, boat tours, transfers…) for us

Nothing really, except perhaps that the junior suite we had was a bit dated - not exactly sure why this hotel wants to position itself as a “Design Hotel”.

Private Onsen bath tub in my room

The information booklet in my room can be more detailed with some photos. For example I would have liked to see the photo of big roten onsen area as a comparison to the private family onsen room.

Beautiful location. Friendly and helpful staff. One of the staff members who picked me up from the port took a detour and showed me the monkey rock since I had no specific plans which was very nice of him and the rest of the staff members went above and beyond to make sure my staff was pleasant.

Nothing to really complain about. The only drawback is that there isn't much around the vicinity of the hotel although this is the reason why I went to the hotel, to get away and relax.

The breakfast in Japanese style was excellent, and I would have expected a nice one in Western style.
