The cottage is definitely rustic, and bedrooms are small but clean. The great room on the top level was awesome for our needs and the extra large table was fantastic for meals and playing games.
There is a fenced dog park, and playground, about 3 blocks away. And the cottage is a short walk to the village - about 1km.
The three level cottage was a bit cumbersome for one person in our group, who had to navigate the stairs carefully, but there are sturdy railings to hold on both sets of stairs.
Overall, our stay was great. And having the two fridges and two dishwashers was perfect.
Chris was easy to communicate with throughout and everything was straightforward and expectations were met. 😀

We had a summer family reunion. Walking distance to the village, tennis courts nearby. Lovely house with many many beds. (BedRooms were on the smaller side but we didn’t spend time in them)

The property was clean, well maintained with an impressively equipped kitchen. The double sink, refrigerator and cupboards are a real bonus when accommodating so many people. Our contact was personable, responsive and took care of any questions or requests without issue.

The house was a short walk from Blue Mountain where many of us enjoyed hiking. The beach is a 5 minute drive. It is set up nicely with chairs and fire pits, however, is very shallow quite a way out so can't swim. The house itself was exactly what we needed for so many people. There were multiple bathrooms and showers. On a rainy day, we had a ping pong tournament. The kitchen has 2 fridges and 2 dishwashers. I loved the big table where everyone could sit and enjoy dinner or games. We enjoyed the deck area alot. The host always responded quickly.

We meet every two years to catch up on our lives and enjoy our long term friendship. We share dinners together and explore the local sights. The house had just what we needed, enough simple bedrooms to accommodate a large group plus space to prepare dinners, chat and relax. There were opportunities to explore the countryside, go for walks and bike rides, shop and visiit nearby towns. We all enjoyed our visit.

As a group of 18 it’s difficult to find properties that have the capacity to host a cottage weekend. We absolutely loved this chalet that Chris runs in Collingwood. Short drive away from the village, there’s a beach nearby along with some scenic caves to trek through and a driving range a couple minutes out. The property itself came well equipped in the kitchen and weren’t finding that there was anything missing. If you’re deliberating, don’t. Just book it, I promise that you will not be disappointed. We were a group of 13 for the two night stay. Beds were very comfy and the living area has a good hangout space. If people sleeping on the main floor get a good AC temp, then those sleeping in the basement freeze. So be ready to bundle up basement sleepers. Two dishwashers for a big group was very efficient. We needed more paper towels though, the two kitchen towels and one paper towel roll wasn’t enough for us to keep the kitchen clean after each usage for the 3 days. We played ping pong alot. The table and bats weren’t the greatest, but we still had fun with it. The close 15-20min walk to the village was convenient. The hot tub was perfect! The chalet is adjoined to another unit so it can get confusing during the checkin process. It would be convenient if there was a picture of the door to enter in. The owner was super responsive to any request. The place was kept very clean when we checked in.

The chalet was a great place for our family reunion. The top floor space was excellent for meals and table games, and there were bedrooms and bathrooms to spare. The younger kids loved the hot tub, and we all took trips to the private beach. The one thing missing that would have made it perfect was laundry facilities.

Chalet is absolutely beautiful, so well stocked with 2 kitchens. Beds are so comfortable we wanted to take them home. Multiple bathrooms, so no issue even with 20 women. Chris the host responded quickly to every question or concern. We will be booking again next year. Highly recommend.

The property was better than expected and the photos do not do it justice. Super cozy, well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, great congregation spaces and the dinner table is massive and fits plenty people. The outside is super cute as you’re walking in as well.

- Not really a ‘con’ as it’s clearly posted. But the ‘No hot tub after 11’ rule is enforced by private security (as some of my friends found out). So probably best not to rent the property if your sole goal is to use the hot tub starting at 11:01pm. No issues after the hot tub was vacated.

The property worked perfectly for our family reunion of 13 people. Lots of room, well equipped and couldn’t hear neighbouring guests. Chris, the property manager, was extremely helpful before and during our stay. Private beach was great.

The living room was smaller than the pictures indicated. The table was awesome to host 10 people comfortably for meals. Whatever the kitchen lacked was quickly brought in by the host with a quick text- which was awesome. The hot tub could have been hotter. Overall, we made do with the space for the yoga retreat we were hosting but it is not ideal for that as we needed a bigger living room for all 10 of us to have our mats on the floor space. Otherwise, it would be a great space for multiple families to co exist for a weekend.
