Georgian Townhouse Near York Minster - sleeps 5 - near everything
Das Minster View ist ein elegantes georgianisches Stadthaus in hervorragender Lage in einem Naturschutzgebiet neben der Stadtmauer an der Bootham Bar und nur 2 Gehminuten vom Yorker Münster und dem lebhaften Stadtzentrum mit seinen vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Cafés, Restaurants und Boutiquen entfernt.
Es besteht aus 3 Etagen eines 4-stöckigen Stadthauses aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. (Das Erdgeschoss ist ein Chiropraktiker und total ruhig). Alle Fenster haben Blick auf das Münster oder Gillygate. Die Räume sind elegant proportioniert mit hohen Decken und originalen Türen und Zierleisten.
Dieses stilvolle Ferienhaus wurde mit viel Sorgfalt und Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und eingerichtet, um Stil und antike Möbel mit Komfort und Zweckmäßigkeit zu kombinieren. Dekoration und Einrichtung sind auf hohem Niveau und wurden mit Blick auf Charakter und Ambiente ausgewählt. Geschirr, Bettwäsche usw. sind von guter Qualität und wurden ausgewählt, um das Dekor zu ergänzen.

We enjoyed our stay in York. Wonderful city. The house is exceptionally well placed near the city wall. We could not have found a better place.

My mom, dad, and I travelled to York for a wedding and could not have been happier with the accommodations. Communication was clear, the check in process was painless, and the location was amazing, near everything! The house itself had everything we needed. The bathroom and kitchen were fantastic, and the beds comfortable. The place was clean with plenty of room. I cannot recommend this place enough! Check out the Fat Badger/Secret Garden pub as well, literally a 3 minute walk around the corner 😀

A beautiful place to stay. A second time we visited York. Our children wanted to stay at this place again and we too. It is not a luxury stay. This place however is authentic York. If you realy want to see and experience York than you must stay here. The contact with the owner was great. We wii be nack in York a third time amd we will try to book it again.

The property manager Toby met us at the flat and went over the ins and outs of the unit. The flat has lots of space and had everything we needed for a family of four plus it was very clean with comfortable beds. Now the best part is the location, this flat is right in the middle of all the shopping, restaurants and tourist sites, we were never more than a 10 minute walk from where we wanted to be. We wouldn’t hesitate to rebook here in the future.

Charming accommodation 2 blocks from York Minster. Immaculate flat with great kitchen. All the rooms, including bedrooms, are up very steep stairways so this apartment would be very difficult for older or infirmed visitors . Tesco is across the street and the area is filled with shops and restaurants. Earplugs are a good idea for pleasant sleep.

This property is located about a 2 minute walk to York Minster and in the middle of everything. You can walk to the Shambles, Betty’s Tea Room, Railway Museum, lots of restaurants and pubs, gardens, wall walk, and countless other attractions. Taxis and Ubers are easy. The host, Toby, is very helpful and easy to contact. The flat is in a very old building but it is pristine and has modern appliances. If climbing stairs is difficult for you, be advised. That is the only drawback I can see. This was perfect for us. I would return.

Minster View is fabulous. To stay so close to the Minster in a building more 100 years old is so special. The home has everything you need. The b da were comfy, the kitchen well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was warm so a fan in the lounge would be nice.

Initially, we had to wait one hour after the agreed upon time to get in the house. The man kept saying "she will be there in two minutes". The house was disappointing. All furniture was old and deteriorated, requiring refurbishing. Cupboard closures did not work. It smelled musty on entry but on trying to open the windows, the sash window cords didn't work. The windows were dirty and the paint peeling off. The string light cord in the bathroom was very dirty, in fact, brown in color at the bottom, only white right at the top. We enjoyed our holiday despite the accommodation, but it would have been so much nicer to return to more pleasant surroundings.

Lovely flat close to shops, eating areas, pubs and York centre. Everything you could need in a home from home and we'd definitely stay again . . . As long as the shower is replaced - the only thing that wasnt great.

York Minster and the Town Centre are right around the corner as well as restaurants and groceries. Apartment is well equipped, spacious, and very comfortable. Just the 2 of us, so did not use 3rd bedroom on top floor. Would definitely come here again. Parking in nearby city lots (Marygate is best) can be pricey, but just consider that to be the admission price for fabulous York!

Lovely view of the Minster from the kitchen and bedroom. Kitchen was lovely. House was in a very convenient location and was perfect for us while visiting York with friends. We had a very memorable stay here.
My 11-year old said this was ‘an amazing place to surprise your friends.’
Other 11 year old friend said ‘just amazing.’
13 year old said ‘nice music CDs, carpet and living room.’

We loved this home for our stay in York. It is in a great location and had plenty of room for our family. The hosts were also great to work with and went above and beyond to get us the keys for check in and help look for a lost item. Highly recommend this VRBO!

Great location to the York city centre.
The house is warm and inviting and has all you need for a great stay in a fabulous city. The noise of the road in the living room and bedroom is disturbing especially with sirens this often woke us up during the night and early hours of the morning.
The stairs in the property aren’t for the elderly, especially the stairs to the loft.
We enjoyed our stay in the city and the property was very close to all the amenities that York has to offer.

Our family stopped over for three very comfortable nights at Minster View, York. The property is located within seeing & hearing distance of the superb chimes of the wonderful York Minster.
The property has great character & charm, and is maintained to a high standard.
Location wise, it's a stones throw from the best pubs, restuarants and cultural sites that central York has to offer.
Tip - parking can be both expensive and limited in central York. We reserved a relatively close by space for 4 days, using JustPark.com, for only £23!
If we're ever back in beautiful York, would certainly book Minster View again.

The property is exactly as advertised. It is a 2 minute walk to York Minster which makes it a great base from which to explore the city. Hosts are great communicators I would recommend it to anyone who is able to handle stairs.

We had a wonderful stay! Perfect central location - 2 minutes from the Minster. Great accommodation, lovely and cosy. My youngest two children loved being on the top floor. Comfortable beds and linens.

The apartment is right by the city walls and most of the sites were in a short walk. You won't go hungry or thirsty with many restaurants and pubs nearby.
The main bedroom and twin bedroom on the top floor were nicely decorated, although you have to be young and fit to get to the top floor.
The apartment is slightly dated, but I will recommend the apartment and when we come back to York, we will see if the apartment is available.

Very spacious property. We needed that this late in our vacation. Two flights of stairs to two of the bed rooms so if you struggle with mobility this could be a challenge. Old character home, quite charming. Excellent restaurants close by, perfect location easy access and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see.
Gilley Gate can be noisy but it did not bother us.

Had a wonderful four days over coronation weekend. One hour of bells Sunday, and four hours on Monday. They sounded like they were right outside of our window.

We had a fantastic stay in York.
Minster View is so convenient for the city centre. We could walk to the heart of the city in a matter of minutes. It was really nicely laid out and decorated, and had everything that we needed. There was plenty of space, with nice big rooms. We especially liked the ones at the back which overlooked the city walls and the Minster.
Communication was great and the check in/out process was extremely smooth. I'd 100% recommend Minster View to anyone looking for a comfortable, central place to stay in York.

Exceeded our expectations. Toby was really helpful with checking in early and leaving bags late. The house was perfect for our family, the kids loved the attic bedroom, there were loads of games to play in the living room, the kitchen is fully stocked. Feels like a home rather than a holiday apartment. So close to the centre - kids loved spotting the house from the castle walls!

Minster View is a lovely fully furnished house full of character in the centre in the vibrant Gillygate. Eateries are a few steps away - Mamma Mia was nice. Car parks are a few minutes walk.
Never been to York. Really is a city full of history and well worth booking York Minster.
Minster View is a perfect base to see the city. Being city centre it can get vibrant noisy at night.
The hosts have an amazing house which I would recommend. The keyholders were very helpful in their messaging.
