It was the most amazing place

This property was ideal for our friends’ trip. While easily accessible by a regular bus that goes directly to all the main attractions in Florence, it’s set in fantastic surroundings in the hills. The villa has been finished to a high standard and is well equipped.

After a few days in Roma our family of 10 with 7 adults and 3 kids in their early teens wanted to stay at a place in Tuscany that’s near some wineries and also accessible to Firenze. Lucia’s house is perfect!
Bus #11 La Gora final stop is down the road from the house which takes you to the sights in Florence in less than a half hour.
Antinori and Torciano wineries are also within a half hour away and San Gimignano town.
The views from the house of the Chartreuse of Florence atop the hill is stunning and sunrise in the morning is magical.
We hired Chef Tales private chef to cook our parents’ anniversary dinner and it was fantastic classic Tuscan cuisine.
Our family enjoyed staying at this big house and would recommend it to large groups. We hope to visit again sometime.

I cannot praise the kindness and helpfulness of the managers too much. They went far beyond their duty to provide a helpful and considerate service.
The description on the internet does not do justice to the fantastic property which accommodates eight people generously and yet we did not feel swamped when it was only my husband any myself for a short time.
We would hope to return in future and are busily singing its praises to friends who may themselves book.

This is a lovely Tuscan villa with breathtaking views of the Monastery and the countryside. Nestled on a quiet, private drive, it is a wonderful place to get away and soak up the scenery. Lucia and Gilberto are wonderful hosts, who answered all our questions, helped us with all our needs. The air conditioning and pool were just wonderful during the heat of the summer. The villa was spotlessly clean and all the rooms were very comfortable. The bus stop to get into downtown Florence is just a couple of minutes walk down the driveway and an easy jaunt into historic Florence. When I am back in Tuscany, I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful holiday Lucia and Gilberto.

Walking distance to village, but recommend a vehicle for sightseeing etc.

From the entry driveway to the views from the villa - it was an amazing experience and so close to everything. Great location away from the busy city center for a quiet and relaxing stay. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy time together.

Perfect location to access Florence and Chianti region but just outside the busy noisy city life. So relaxing to sit on the deck and marvel at the lush valley and the magnificent Certosa dominating the hills. For anyone who has travelled with friends or family imagine having 4 bathrooms...
Check-in was a breeze, the hosts were easy to contact, place was fully equipped, and house exceeded the pictures. We all did the "Oh wow!" thing when we walked into the entrance.

We had a wonderful week stay! Enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the house was spacious. Very Tuscan decor. Lucia was very helpful and always quick to answer any questions and assistance with transportation and guide recommendations for Florence. Until next time Italy 🇮🇹❤️

Beautiful and perfectly located home in Florence
Singora Lucia is an incredible host for this well maintained and strategically positioned home. The house was recently renovated with additional rooms and bathrooms that were very functional. The views of the hills and the Certosa are beautiful. The details provided by the host are meticulous with which a hotel cannot even compete (e.g., plenty of clean towels, blankets, full furnished kitchen, etc.). The house is located in the hills of Florence but within 15-20 minutes driving (or bus nearby) of center city. We were there for Christmas for a family reunion and could not have a better time (they even provided us with a Christmas tree and some decoration). Highly recommended and we will be back soon.

Beautiful, large country house with bus connection to city center
This large house is superbly located: from the road with the bus leading directly to the city center, you walk through an archway, leaving the traffic and noise behind you. After 300m through along meadows and gardens you find the house overlooking the countryside and the nearby monastery. The host was perfect: we found the house fully equipped and the kitchen stocked with basics and a full dinner and breakfast.

We feld in love with the apartment, it’s location close to Florence, and in the country side.
We highly recommend this apartment to anybody. We were 10 persons.(3 children and 7 adults) and it fit us all in. The pool was excellent for the children. With temperature in the 34-38C, coming back from Florence to the appartement and going in the pool was good. A bus ride to Florence city centre took only 15-18 minutes. For 1.5€ the best way to visit Florence. We were very happy with our choice. The manager, Lucia was very helpfull and available

excellent location
the property is excellent.emerged in a green landscape with a breathtaking view. you can reach the centre of Florence by bus or by car .the pool is perfect for the hot days.Lucia waited for us and was very kind showing the house. A full basket of toscan goodies was awaiting for us.Definitely i will come back sometime.

Besser geht Florenz nicht
Die Kommunikatin und der Empfang waren herzlich. Daneben fanden wir vieles vor, dass uns die Tage erleichterte (Shampoo, Handseife, Kekse, Essig, Öl usw.) Die Unterkunft hat allen sehr gut gefallen und der Pool machte die heißen Tage erträglich. Die Aussicht war grandios. Das Haus liegt nahe an einer Busstation, von der man alle 20 min. Florenz in 15 min. erreichen kann. Auch die Autobahn ist nicht weit entfernt. Allerdings ist die Zufahrt etwas eng, VW-Bus und Passat haben es aber kratzerfrei geschafft.

This is a great place to stay. It is very beautiful and restful. The hosts are very accommodating. It is a lovely house and kept very clean. The village is well supplied and the shops are about 750 m away from the property.
The only thing to be aware of with this property is that it is quite a way outside Florence. It takes about 20 mins by bus to get into Florence. The buses are usually regular but we did have one occasion when the bus didn't come for over 1 hour.
So if you don't have time constraints it would be harder to find a nice place to stay.

Great place
Lucia was lovely. My family and I met her and she was very accommodating and helpful. The place was clean, big and gorgeous! It had a very rustic feel to it. The backyard has a beautiful view of some Tuscan hills and the location is very close to the Flornece city center, approximately 20 minutes by car. We highly recommend this place

A Great One
We stayed three nights, loved the deer in the fields below, the pheasant calling to each other and the peacefulness this VRBO provides.
This place is really easy to access the #11 bus into Florence, right by the train station as well as the rest of the attractions there is to offer.
The host and her son were great and communicated very well. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!!

Wir sind sehr herzlich von Lucia und ihrem Mann begrüßt worden. Wir haben uns sehr über die Erstausstattung an Lebensmitteln und Getränken gefreut. Das Haus ist typisch italienisch eingerichtet. Unser Lieblingsplatz war die obere kleine Terrasse. Dort kann man mit vier Personen super sitzen. Bei Fragen hat Lucia umgehend geantwortet, sodass wir uns immer gut betreut fühlten. Der Weg zum Bus, der alle 20 Minuten fährt, war kein Problem. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Lovely property, wonderfully located close to Florence but far enough out to feel authentic
We loved it here, the place is beautiful, the pool is great. Lucia is the loveliest host ever, providing us with tomatoes from her garden, even groceries on our first day and a bottle of Chianti! We would gladly come back anytime! Only downside is no air conditioning, but what can you expect from Tuscany in the summer? We had fans for each room, though, and the pool really makes up for it! Would gladly come back anytime, perfect for families!

We stayed here as two families, 10 people total. It was a little difficult to find because it is so secluded. But once we were there we parked and spent three days in Florence. The bus stop is a 8 minute walk away, and the 11 bus takes you right downtown.Rooms were warm. Lucia was a great personable host. Views and hills are lovely. The wifi is a mobile hotspot. I got it to work by putting it out on the window sill. But the 10 of us each with our own mobile devices used up the limited internet.

Very nice, warm and secluded

Wonderful place to stay.
It was a beautiful place to stay. We were able to catch a metro from the train station right to the villa. Our host/hostess was very kind. When we got off at the bus stop our host was waiting for us. There was 10 of us and we had a lot of backpacks and luggage. He loaded it up in his car and drove it to their villa while we walked up the road and the beautiful area to get to the villa. The grandkids loved the swimming pool. We had comfortable beds. The grandkids loved the video games. The metro went right by a grocery store. The metro also took you right into town. We would highly recommend staying at this villa.

Ein toller Urlaub vom 30.7. - 13.08.2016
Ein schönes in die Jahre gekommenes Häuschen in direkter Lage zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Schöner eingezäunter Garten, der unseren Hunden gefallen hat. Für alle Hundebesitzer: Gassi gehen leider nur im Stadtpark von Galuzzo mit Auto möglich. Dort gibt es 2 Hundeauslaufe und ist toll gemacht!
Lucia uns Gilberto sind tolle und Hilfsbereite Vermieter.
Wir vermissen jetzt schon den Blick aus dem Fenster auf die Certosa von Galozzo!
Wir würden dieses Haus immer wieder buchen.

Beautiful views - Secluded but accessible
Our family of 8 enjoyed the large family feel of the home in the Florence country side. The table for ten and the very large lounge area was a selling point for me. Our host was warm, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. After our long journey we were surprised that we had to make our own beds before retiring and the heating was less than what we were familiar with for a very chilly late March. As in many of the older homes electricity was a matter of choice...the hair dryer or the oven. Even though we walked down the lane to and from the bus stop. I would recommend a car, if possible. Overall the home was delightful and our family will remember it fondly! Thanks

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung; ruhig gelegen, trotzdem gute Anbindung mit Bus nach Florenz
Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Wohnung ist großzügig, wirkt wie eine alte Villa, hat Charme. Sie war sauber und gepflegt. Esgibt auch Dinge die man verbessern könnte: der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist manchmal sehr schwach und die Elektrizität müsste erneuert werden.
Zur Ausschreibung:
Für uns ist es immer wichtig, zu wissen wieviele Einzelbetten eine Wohnung hat, damit jede Person eine eigene Matratze und ein eigenes Deckbett hat. Da mussten wir extra nachfragen. Auch die Angabe der Bettbreite wäre hilfreich.
Die Betreuung durch die Vermieterin war gut.
Wir können die Wohnung weiterempfehlen.

Tranquilidad a un paso de Florencia
Hemos pasado unos días inolvidables en esta casa (9 personas). La casa está muy bien, limpia y es muy amplia. Tiene todo lo necesario. Está en un entorno muy tranquilo. Aunque nos movimos mucho, hicimos buenas barbacoas en el jardín. La piscina, aunque pequeña, sirve para relajarte después de una jornada agotadora. Cerca hay un supermercado grande y autobús para Florencia. Pero el acceso es un poco extraño. Lucia es encantadora y nos trató estupendamente. Muy interesante para conocer la Toscana.

Living comfortably under the Tuscan Sun
Very large charming old house at the end of a cul de sac. Perfect for the 7 of us. The kids loved the above ground swimming pool. Beautiful views of the country side including the Chartreuse.Ideal base for day trips to explore the city of Florence, Pisa,Sienna etc. Best choice if you have a car but a bus stop is close by if you do not. Great welcome by Lucia and Gilberto.Loved the welcoming bottle of Chianti which made us decide to spend a whole day driving the nearby Chianti Wine road all the way to Greve! The only suggestion we have to improve our stay would be to update the living room furniture or reupholster the sofas and arm chairs there,
