We loved the house, the location , the grounds are amazing

Great hosts really fab few days

Location fine - we were self catering. We were near shops for food, papers, a great pub called The Cross Keys, offering excellent home cooked food and good beer, other restaurants, a marvellous Indian take-away called the "New Akash" and even a Roald Dahl museum and story centre. We found good jogging routes, watercolour painting views and pleasant walks in lovely surrounding countryside.

In one of the bedrooms a chair arm was broken and the shower and hose were confusing to use but only at first. The third bedroom was a little small for two adults, I think sleeping six adults is possible but only at a push, we managed, but one bedroom due to its size was less comfortable. Some of the pool side chairs were uncomfortable and sun loungers were jaded and poor.

In a great location with a lovely pool and hot tub.

It wasn’t a private property as advertised on the booking. The owners were also onsite while we were there so we had to share the swimming pool, and often heard the child early in the morning.

Everything, the house is great, steeped in history and the host was very welcoming and accommodating! Highly recommended.
